Chapter 53: Chapter 53

Wiping away the tears that had formed on her face from fear or urgency, Flora returned to Chiyoko's bedroom. Stepping into the room, she saw Chiyoko just coming out of the bathroom. She was wearing a white camisole nightgown, her hair disheveled, and she had a serene smile on her face. She didn't look at all like someone who was injured, and there was no sign of any wounds on her body.

Could it be true, as Nancy said, that Miss Chiyoko was just playing around? Oh my god! She finally understood why Chiyoko repeatedly warned her not to let Maxwell come to see her at night. She was truly a lunatic at night!

"Miss Chiyoko..." Flora cautiously called out.

Her hair was still dripping with water, and her face was pale and ghastly. She looked... just like a female ghost!

"You deceived me..." Chiyoko stared at her, murmuring as she took steps towards her. "You didn't help me... Maxwell didn't come. I waited for him all day, but he didn't come..."

"Miss Chiyoko, the Big Young Master..." Flora stared at her appearance, becoming increasingly nervous and feeling suffocated. She instinctively stepped back, trembling as she lied with a quivering voice, "Big Young Master didn't come back today. He still hasn't come back."

"You're lying! I heard the sound of his car returning and then leaving again! You're lying!" Chiyoko screamed wildly, suddenly waving her hand and fiercely slapping Flora across the face.

Flora had never expected that she would suddenly strike out like this. She screamed and toppled onto the sofa, quickly scrambling to get up. As she turned around, an even louder scream escaped her mouth. Chiyoko had a knife in her hand now, and she was crazily lunging towards Flora.

Flora screamed as she rolled over, narrowly avoiding Chiyoko's attacks. Chiyoko, who had lost all reason, continued to laugh manically as she pounced on her, the gleaming knife almost piercing her body several times.

"Help... Help!" Flora screamed, dodging the knife while shouting, "Miss Chiyoko, calm down! Put the knife down!" Flora had already been scared out of her wits, her face pale and scared!

"I'll kill you all! Kill all you bastards!" Chiyoko laughed hysterically, completely ignoring Flora's pleas.

As she once again lunged at Flora, the knife narrowly missed her chest...

Panicked, Flora scrambled to grab a ceramic vase from the table, without even thinking, and screamed as she smashed it onto Chiyoko's head. With a loud "crash," the vase shattered, ceramic shards falling to the ground. Along with them fell the fruit knife from Chiyoko's hand... and droplets of fresh blood...

Blood gushed like a fountain from Chiyoko's forehead as she knelt on the ground. Her manic laughter froze on her beautiful face, and her enchanting eyes lost their luster. Moments later, her body tilted to the side and fell onto the carpet.

Flora was stunned, staring blankly at Chiyoko lying on the ground, who had suddenly become quiet. A terrified scream escaped her mouth, and she was on the verge of losing her mind! She had killed her! She had killed Miss Chiyoko! Flora broke down, crying uncontrollably, her hand, which had just held the vase, frozen in mid-air. Then, she clenched it into a fist, pressing it against her teeth, and her face began to fade into blankness.

Nancy, Mrs. Smith, and a few other maids who had rushed over were also taken aback when they saw the scene.

Mrs. Smith was the first to snap back to reality and loudly commanded, "Quick... go call Doctor Alan!"

A young maid hurriedly ran off, and Mrs. Smith, unstable on her feet, almost stumbled to the ground, as there was blood everywhere. Fortunately, a maid quickly supported her and helped her sit down on the side, shielding her from witnessing this tragic scene any further.

Everyone quickly lifted Miss Chiyoko onto the bed, and Doctor Alan had just arrived, diligently tending to Chiyoko's wounds and stopping the bleeding.

Flora, who had been left behind by the crowd, curled up in a corner, embracing her knees. Though Mrs. Smith was alarmed, she hadn't forgotten that Flora's ultimate purpose was to serve Chiyoko. It was initially just to scare her and make her unable to stay in the Smith Family mansion, but she never expected something like this to happen.

Regret had already begun to sink in. Not to mention that Chiyoko was Maxwell's fiancee, she was also the niece of Yota Gang's president in Japan. If Yota Gang's president discovered that Chiyoko died in the Smith Family mansion, with his power, he wouldn't hesitate to obliterate the entire Smith Family!

Nancy, who had no fondness for any woman associated with Maxwell, didn't let this opportunity slip by. She coldly sneered and squatted down in front of Flora. Staring at her, she whispered in a threatening tone, "Flora, you are quite audacious. You dared to even kill the fiancée of the Big Young Master. Do you know the trouble you've caused?"

Flora glanced up at Chiyoko, surrounded by the crowd, and then her gaze settled on Nancy. She shook her head gently. She didn't know. She didn't know anything at all...

Nancy's ghostly voice slowly rang in Flora's ears, "Do you know how much Big Young Master loves Miss Chiyoko? He loves her enough to turn against his younger brother. What do you think will happen to you now that you've killed Miss Chiyoko? Perhaps, the next one imprisoned on the third floor will be you..."

"No--! I didn't mean to! I didn't mean to kill her!" Flora suddenly screamed.

What would Maxwell do to punish her? Just thinking about it, she knew. She had killed the woman he loved most. He wouldn't simply imprison her as a bed companion or as a maid. That bloodthirsty man would be creative in torturing and humiliating her!

"Nancy! Enough!" Mrs. Smith reprimanded sternly. Things were already chaotic enough, and she was still causing trouble? Flora needed to be punished, but it had to be done at the right time!
