Chapter 162: Chapter 162
Flora felt a bit uneasy under his scrutiny. She chuckled and asked, "Second Young Master, are you planning to take Little Young Master out?" She knew that Robin must be excited because there was either something to eat or something fun.
Indeed, Robin enthusiastically boasted, "Second Brother is going to accompany me to the amusement park. Flora, do you want to come? Let's go together!"
Robin extended a warm invitation, and only Flora would accompany him. Perhaps it was because of their close ages. However, he seemed to have overlooked one thing—Flora was pregnant and couldn't accompany him.
Just hearing the words "amusement park" activated every cell in Flora's body. But... could she go out? Without Maxwell's approval, she dared not take a single step outside the mansion, especially with Oliver present. The strange behavior of Maxwell from last night was still fresh in her memory. If he found out she went to the amusement park with Oliver, he might do something drastic.
Oliver looked at Flora's smiling face which froze when she heard about going out. He smiled slightly and said, "Don't worry, Big Brother won't be back for the next two days. No one will bother you."
Flora was surprised. Maxwell would disappear for a few days? Great! Still, for safety's sake, it would be better not to stir up trouble. She obediently stayed at the Smith Family mansion. It was all because of that little boy. Why did he have to tell her, tempting her like that?
"I'd better not go. You guys go ahead," Flora chuckled.
Robin rolled his eyes at her with displeasure, saying, "You want to go, right? Why won't you? Second Brother said that Big Brother wouldn't come back."
"Anyway, I can't play, and you know your Big Brother's temper is scarier than the devil when he gets angry," Flora said.
Oliver's expression changed slightly but quickly returned to his gentle demeanor.
Meanwhile, Robin patted his chest and exclaimed energetically, "Don't worry, with me around, Big Brother won't scold you!"
"Last time, the time before that, you said the same thing, and yet you ran away faster than me when you saw your Big Brother!" Flora retorted, not in a cheerful tone. Thinking back to those times, each time he made bold assurances, but did any of them truly help her?
Robin chuckled and patted his head, feeling embarrassed about his past. Finally, he turned to Oliver for help, hoping that he could take Flora with them.
Oliver smiled lightly and said, "He may not protect you, but I do. So, don't worry." With these words, he forcefully embraced Flora and placed her in the back seat of the car. He knew she wanted to go, so he did this.
"No! I can't go!" Flora whispered, trying to get out, but it was too late.
The car started and headed towards the gate! Looking at Robin's wicked grin, Flora didn't know whether to laugh or cry.
Meanwhile, Oliver casually leaned back on his seat, observing the restless Flora with a smile on his face. This made Flora even more anxious.
Is Oliver crazy?! His relationship with Maxwell had already soured because of Chiyoko's troublemaking, and now he dared to forcefully take her to the amusement park?
Did he really have no concerns that Maxwell might object? He even claimed to protect her? Perhaps, in the end, he wouldn't be able to protect himself! Alas! His impulsiveness might end up harming both her and himself!
Oliver looked at her self-pitying demeanor and lightly laughed, asking, "Miss Flora, are you that afraid of him?" He had already assured her of her safety, yet she continued to lament, appearing restless.
Flora glanced at him and couldn't help but speak, "Second Young Master, isn't the lesson you got from Miss Chiyoko enough? Do you dare to touch his woman again?" Her words referred to his intimate embrace with Chiyoko yesterday. For now, she could consider herself Maxwell's woman, as she still slept by his side every day.
Oliver's expression changed slightly, and his deep gaze became dim. He then shifted his gaze away from her and focused on the sea outside the car window. Without speaking, he seemed to be pondering something, recalling something.
His sudden silence made Flora feel apologetic, thinking she had been too outspoken. Chiyoko was a taboo for both Maxwell and Oliver, and she shouldn't have casually mentioned it. However, she was genuinely curious—did Oliver truly love Chiyoko?
And did Chiyoko love both brothers at the same time? If not, what did she witness yesterday? Was it just a simple reunion after a long separation, a formal French greeting? That seemed too exaggerated. Unable to comprehend, this question had troubled her all night!
The car didn't directly head to the amusement park but stopped in front of a high-end restaurant.
Flora looked outside through the car window and asked with confusion, "Why are we here? Aren't we going to the amusement park?"
"You haven't had breakfast yet, have you? Get off." Oliver got out of the car first and then reached out to hold her hand.
Flora shook her head, pushed his hand away, and jumped out of the car on her own. She was never the type to need assistance, and most importantly, there were certain boundaries between men and women!
The three of them entered the breakfast area, and the waiter quickly brought the hotel's best breakfast. It was then that Flora noticed the two gentlemen sitting across from her, watching her eat.
After a moment of confusion, she asked, "Both of you aren't eating?" Well... how could she enjoy her meal alone? She found it awkward!
"We've already had breakfast at home. Take your time; no need to rush," Oliver gently reassured.
Robin, on the other hand, urged loudly, "Flora, eat quickly! After this, we're going to see the dolphin show. If we miss the time, we won't get to see it!"
"Okay," Flora responded and began eating.
The breakfast was warm and brought warmth to her heart directly. She hadn't expected that Oliver would consider that she hadn't eaten breakfast and would bring her here to eat. Why was he always so considerate and gentle towards her? Was this his attitude towards women?
Just like how he treated Chiyoko, with this demeanor, which woman could resist his charm? Suddenly, Flora felt that Chiyoko wasn't acting too recklessly. Encountering such a handsome, gentle, and considerate man, it would be difficult not to be tempted!
Maybe Oliver was the one wrong, and he should be the one to be punished! If he didn't blindly confuse others, how could they fall into such a deep trap? At this rate, she might also be enchanted by him!
