Chapter 47: Chapter 47

I had been sitting at my desk for as long as I could remember, trying to think of the perfect head line for our article. For some reason I was coming up short. Nothing sounded right to me. I had thought of everything to nothing and none of them seemed fitting enough.

Pages torn out of my books were stream across my table, some of them were folded and we're resting on the floor beside the wall where I had chunked it in frustration. This was the one time I wanted to prove that I was a genuis, and this was the time my brain refused to cough up something that seemed okay enough.

I looked at what I had written,

- Life of a self proclaimed nerd.

- Self reliance, the best reliance.

- Examination; test of memory or test of cram skills.

This were the three I had just written down.

I groan, this was working. At all. I needed help, thankfully my phone was within arm's reach, in two seconds I was dialing Andrina.

"You have got to stop calling at mid night." She said in a sleepy voice.

I checked the clock above my head, it was really mid night. I didn't know the time was already far spent. My time was running out. It's already 'tommorow'!.

"Sorry, I didn't check the time before I called, besides I have a huge problem."

"Better be worth it since you woke me up."

"It is, I don't have any headline. I'm coming up blank." I tell her.

She swore for about two minutes, leaving me to wince at every word she said.

"Really? Carolyn Anderson? Really??" She barked into the phone. Making me shift the phone a few inches away from my ear before I end up with a bursted ear drum.

"Calm down, it is important okay? I don't know what to write and we have to create a trend as the first ones to do it." I tell her.

She swore some more.

"I'm already awake, there is literally nothing else I can do but to help you, besides you will suffer the same fate once one guy catches my eye soon." She said in satisfaction. I could hear her move around. I guess she was getting up from the bed.

"So what exactly do you want to write about?"

I thought about it...

"A perfect article that will blow the minds of everybody." I tell her.

"I get that, but what in particular?"

"Actually I was thinking.. I might not be the only person new to this love thing, even if I was... This is a new and exciting part of my life.. I thought everyone should share in it too." I tell her truthfully, that was why my academic head lines sucked, because that's not what I wanted to write.

"Well you attend a lot of those seminars, think about it... What do you think would be a perfect headline?"

Something clicked in my brain, it all started to fall into place.

"The last seminar I had to sit through, they were talking about how love was a weapon, and stuff." I tell her.

"Love; The Greatest Weapon." I whisper.

"Atta girl! I knew you were just making a fuss and you'll end up not needing my help." She said, but somehow, I could see her smiling.

"Not true, you helped a whole lot. Thanks" I say as I write on a clean sheet, I bold letters, LOVE; THE GREATEST WEAPON.

"You are welcome. Now let me sound a little warning to you, I may not be barky like Sophie, but if you wake me in the middle of the night again, I'll chop you up to tiny pieces and throw you in a ditch somewhere." She threatened calmly. That was scarier than Sophie's threat.

I gulp, and she disconnected before I could say anything else.

Tomorrow was going to be great.

I rushed through the day, so the time would race really fast and be over so I could see him again. Especially since I had a great head line. Hopefully he liked it.

After school I hung back in the classroom. I didn't ask him where to meet. Now I was confused. My friends already left me, they said they didn't want to be in the way of "couple mushy words that should not be spoken."

"Hey." I heard him say, it was like he was the puppet master and I was the puppet because I turned so fast after hearing his voice.

He was in grey sweater blue jeans and grey Nike shoes. He looked like he came straight from a model photoshoot.

"Hi.."

He sat on the desk of my seat. Leaving my heart to beat like a group of horses hooves running on the grass.

"I totally forgot to find head lines... I'm sorry." He said looking pained.

I smiled, all the time I used wasn't a waste.

"That's okay, I found a really good head line, hopefully you like it." I tell him as I pass the sheet to him.

His eyes scanned the paper, an impressed smile played on his lips.

"I like it.. I really like it." He said

I blushed.

"Thanks. All we have to do is work on our article."

He nodded.

"First we definitely the key words, love, greatest, and weapon." I say as I get into my assignment mode.

"On it." He said as he browsed through his phone.

We worked on it just like that for a few hours, until it was perfect.

He sat still reading it over and over again.

"Wow." He whispered.

"Love is something isn't it? How come you know so much about it.?"

I blush,

"I didn't before... I'm just getting to know it and it's been... Refreshing.." I say not meeting his eyes, so I didn't know what he was looking at.

"If love is the greatest weapon and can win any fight... Can it win the one I'll have with you after telling you this?"
