Chapter 38: Chapter 38

"Oh my goodness!!" Andrina screamed from the head of my bed. If I wasn't smiling so wide I would have kicked her out, but her scream didn't bother me so much now.

"That really happened?? You really went on an ice cream date?" Sophie asked wide eyed.

I blushed, bit my lip, and nodded shyly.

"Wow, this year is something else, I never thought this would happen to you ever, but here you are, raveling in the world of first love." Sophie said smiling softly.

"I am so happy right now, I can't even explain how happy I feel now." Andrina said almost hopping.

I giggled, her excitement for me was contagious, pretty soon we were all giggling together.

"Can you keep it down?! Some people are trying to have some sleep, it is a Saturday morning you know." Gabby shouted from her room.

But her irritation only caused more giggling.

I had told them everything that happened yesterday over the phone, they both were screaming their heads off, I had to move my phone away from my ear so I won't go deaf. They both promised to be here early. And they were early, too early. But I was glad they came.

"We were sure you would be the new virgin Mary or have ninety cats and a million degrees." Sophie said packing her hair.

I chuckle,

"I wasn't that bad."

They shared a look and burst out laughing.

"You said and I quote, "boys are a complete distraction to our youth. This is the time we can use to make a difference in our society, class, or family." And you said this with the most serious look on your face." Sophie said laughing.

"Ugh! That's it, I'm coming there, and if nothing is funny, you three are going to get it!!" Gabby shouted.

We heard her foot falls approaching and we all rushed to the door, locking her out. The girl was scary when she was sleep deprived.

"How are we going to get breakfast?" Andrina whispered as we pressed against the door for additional security.

"I grabbed a banana before coming, I'm not hungry." Sophie said shrugging.

Someone pounced on the door, banging on it hard. We winced. She cursed loudly, making me wince.

"Gabriella watch your words right now or I'll come up there and watch them for you!" Mom shouted at her.

We high five-d each other, celebrating our small victory over the angry Gabby. We heard her murmur promises of death before stomping away.

I slumped face down on my bed. Sighing as my cheeks hit the very soft mattress.

"I'm hungry now." Sophie said facing the window.

Suddenly an idea hit me, I stood up immediately.

"Let's do that thing we're you guys stalk his social media. That creepy weird thing." I tell them.

"You want to stalk him now?" Andrina asked wide eyed.

"This should be added to the many mysteries of the world." Sophie said looking at me through squinted eyes.

I shrug, "now that I think about it, I want to know what his life was before he moved here."

They both nodded.

"Makes sense, but you need to have social media accounts for that to happen, I'm not using mine to stalk him for you." Sophie said.

"Then make one right now!!" I say excitedly.

"You hate social media..."

"Just make one!"

"Carolyn Anderson? Get down here this instant!" Mom yelled.

I rolled my eyes,

"We'll do that later, let's go down and eat." Sophie said dashing out the door. We followed suit. Our eyes nearly fell off their sockets when we got down.

Hi." He greeted. He looked awkward, that made two of us.

"Are those for me?!" I asked immediately I saw the flowers, I read about them. Before I could help myself, I was collecting the flowers from him.

"I know a lot about butterfly bushes, I never thought I'd see them in real life." I tell him

"You know flowers?"

"She knows a lot about many things and too little about the relevant things." Gabby said from the dinning, I didn't respond to her.

"Will you come see a movie with me tonight?" He asked, causing my heart to hammer in my chest. I froze.

"I..uh..uhm.. I'll be doing something with Andrina and Sophie today." I said out of the blue.

"No she won't, we can reschedule." Sophie said glaring at me.

"Then uhm.. I'm doing something with mom and dad later." I said again, okay what was wrong with me?

"That's nonsense, she has nothing to do here, you can take her." Dad said giving me a thumbs up.

I looked at him. A dirt layed across his cheek, like his scratched it with dirty fingers.

"It's a date then." I whisper.

"Yeah it is, I'll pick up by six, that okay?" He asked.

I nodded. He waved awkwardly before leaving.

Everyone, I'm sure I heard my dad's voice too, squealed in excitement. This has never happened before.

"You have a date!!" Mom said almost jumping.

"I know right?!" I say in the same voice.

We both held hands as we jumped excitedly.

Even after breakfast, we were high on excitement, nobody could wipe the smile off their face, well except Gabby, she definitely wasn't smiling.

"I'm so happy I got this for you." Mom said coming into my room with a bag.

She brought out a black skinny jeans and a pink crop top, they looked perfect for a movie date. I smiled gratefully.

"Thanks Mom."

She nodded, "I waited too patiently for this day, do you know how many first date clothes I got for you? I got one for any type of date."

I looked at her with mouth wide open. But she laughed.

"It's almost five, what are doing with your hair?"

I looked at the clock, true to her words it was just five minutes away from 5' O clock. We bolted from the bed.

"I'll go have my bath again, nerves made me sweaty." I say before dashing into the bathroom.

When I got out, they were arranging their make up set on the vanity table.

"You are here, good, sit down so I'll do your make up, and she'll do your hair." Andrina said.

I blinked but trusted them, they were experts, this was my first time.

When I opened my eyes, I saw myself in the mirror, it was still me, only thing different was the lip gloss and the hair style.

"Are you guys done?" I ask, because I knew from the romance book I had been reading, the girl was not supposed to recognize herself and the boy would be too shocked to talk.

"We wanted to keep it minimal, because it's your first time, plus you already are too beautiful, you'd kill him if it was more than this." Sophie said.

I smiled.

"It's six." Mom said from the door.

I bolted, and dressed in the speed of light. By the time I was done my friends and mom were crying. I looked at them in confusion.

"He is here."

Just that statement alone made my heart to go haywire, I took a deep breath before stepping out. He looked.. beautiful. Too beautiful. Dressed in all black, he could pass as a model.

"Hi." I greeted.

He stared at me for a full second, before smiling.

"You look amazing."

I blushed, "you look totally beautiful."

"Ready?"

I nodded, I was ready for the most exciting night of my life.
