Chapter 13: Chapter 13
The next day morning
Akshadh's POV
The alarm buzzed and I stretched my hand searching my phone. I picked up and dismissed the alarm. I rubbed my half-opened eyes and I got up from the bed. I washed my face and completed my schedule. Then, I came out and slightly opened the door of my room. Dhiya and Allen were sleeping peacefully.
"Daddy! Are you standing there?" Allen embarrassed seeing me.
God! I signalled Allen to keep quiet as I am going to take a bath.
"No! no, come in"
Dhiya switched ON the remaining lights. She sat at the end of the bed tucking the hair behind the ear.
"Akshadh, Why are you standing there? Come in," Dhiya said gently.
"Don't mistake me Dhiya, I came here to see Allen,"
"It is okay. I understood," she replied
"Daddy," Allen held my hand and dragging me towards the bed.
"Sit in the bed, daddy. I feel sleepy and let us sleep together,"
"No way Allen, I got up from bed,"
"Please daddy,"
"It is time to wake up. Dhiya, you please sleep with Allen," I turned to go out.
"Daddy please, I wish to sleep together with you both," I looked at Dhiya. It is a kind of feeling that I can't express in words.
"Allen, I will do anything for you but now it is time for me as I have an important meeting now," I lied.
"No daddy,"
"Akshadh, It is her wish and I will go out," said Dhiya and she stood up. Allen stopped Dhiya by holding her hands and unexpectedly Dhiya lost her grip and she was about to fall. I gave my hand and Dhiya pulled my hand. I lost my balance and we both fell in bed. She is in bed and I fell facing her. My hand encircled Dhiya's waist. Her hand tightened my hand.
Our eyes met. My heart started pounding faster. She looked at me like she was looking at me for the first time. She held me tightly. I planted a soft kiss in her forehead. Dhiya looked at me shockingly. I bend my head down and felt sorry for kissing her without knowing her opinion. I am an Idiot. Why did I do so?
"Daddy and Mumma, You both fell down, " Allen was laughing seeing us.
I got up from the bed.
"Dhiya, I am sorry. At the moment you lost the grip, I thought you would fell down forgetting the bed," I said slowly and she got up from the bed.
She didn't reply anything.
I looked at her. I shouldn't have to do this to her. I behaved like a common man who abuses a woman when he gets her alone. I can't even forgive myself and how Dhiya could forgive me? I cursed myself for my behaviour and I don't want to argue with her to make it right.
I knew Allen won't allow me unless she sleeps. Allen laid in my lap playing with Dhiya. Dhiya looked at me often. She didn't even show a small smile. I felt ashamed of my behaviour. A few minutes later, Allen slept in my lap. Dhiya took her and made her sleep peacefully in bed.
I came out at once and Dhiya followed me. I started preparing breakfast and Dhiya sat on the chair looking at me.
"How is your finger now," I asked her in concern
"It is ok,"
"Akshadh, Did you inform our plan to Mr.John?"
"Yes"
Then, she stepped towards the room.
I prepared the breakfast and kept it in the dinning table.
Sometimes later, we three had food together. Dhiya didn't talk to me even now. She feeds Allen.
Meanwhile, I got a call from Mr.John.
"Dhiya, John has come,"
"Ok," she said and as per our plan, we took Allen to the Balcony.
"Why did we come here, Mumma?" Allen asked Dhiya.
"John uncle will come now. We are waiting for him,"
"John uncle! I want to see him now," Allen said happily. He was the one who takes care of Allen when she ignored everyone.
"Yeah! he is there," I said pointing my hands towards John. Allen turned and see John who is standing down with two kids.
"John uncle," Allen called him loudly.
Mr.John looked above and waved his hands.
"Dadddddyyy!! Who oooo are they?" Allen's face started sweating and she became nervous seeing those kids.
"Dhiya! I am so scared... let us quit this plan," I whispered.
"Akshadh, don't worry. Give me five more minutes. If Allen becomes comfortable then we can proceed or else we shall quit our plan. If she overcomes Xenophobia, then there is nothing to worry about her," Dhiya said confidently
"Allen baby, be strong. You can identify Mr.John, right?" Asked Dhiya.
"Yup," she said slowly.
"Then, can't you guess those two kids. They are very close to John uncle, right? Those kids do nothing. See, they are playing happily with John uncle. See, their smile. They are good girls like you. They won't harm others. If you are interested we shall call them to our home and play happily as they do,"
"Mumma, I was scared to play with them,"
"It is ok. Then, we shall invite them to our home. Hide in any room if you are scared. Let us together watch how these girls were. If we are ok then we shall join together?" Dhiya convinced Allen. Dhiya signalled me to calm down.
As per our plan, we invited John and two kids. Allen hides in a room and noticing them through an window opening. Dhiya was standing together with Allen.
Mr John and I were playing with those two kids. I knew those two kids already, they are from the orphanage. Finally, I took chocolates and give it to them.
"Daddy!" Allen rushed towards me.
"We shall play together. This is the first time I am seeing the playing kids. Ask those girls to join me in the game?"
"You can Allen, they will teach you how to play? They are your friends from now," I said happily seeing Allen's excitement to learn.
The kids taught Allen about the game and when time passed, they started speaking comfortably.
I smiled at Dhiya and thanked her.
We have arranged lunch and had it happily.
Those kids mingle with Allen and make her comfortable.
That day Evening
We all together took Allen to the orphanage. There those two kids introduced Allen to their friends. Allen looked comfortable and confident there. We shall just guide her but her new friends show what the real world meant. I never expect this change of Allen but Dhiya made it successfully. We spend our time with those kids
Later, I informed Allen's change to the specialist doctor.
"Akshadh, I said you already that Allen would recover in a day or it might take years but now I am happy to hear it. It is a medical miracle. Miss Dhiya is more powerful than I think. If you wish to thank someone then with no doubts you can thank Dhiya," the doctor said.
Dhiya just shared her smile and she didn't talk to me as she do usually. Did Dhiya hate me for my actions? Your silence is killing me, Dhiya. When will you talk to me as before? Random questions occupied me.
That day night
"Allen, Shall we go home?"
"No, daddy. Let me stay here with my friends," she said playing with them
"You forget me, right?" I chuckled.
"No daddy. There are no kids to play with me at home. Give me a friend to play with me," I smiled and looked at Dhiya. Dhiya looked at me hiding her smile.
"Okay Akshadh, Don't compel Allen. It is good for her to stay here as she is overcoming Xenophobia. Let her be comfortable with new faces,"
"Ok, Dhiya,"
I thanked Mr.John for his constant support. A few minutes later we bid bye to Allen and to those children.
I drove the car silently. Dhiya sat beside me.
"I felt lonely leaving Allen. I missed her, her voice, her talks,. At the moment she got new friends, she forgot me right? Will she forget me forever," I asked my hidden questions out to Dhiya.
"Don't worry Akshadh, she never forgets you. It is the nature of Xenophobia kids. If they started trusting a new face they would like to be with them but once she overcomes completely she will be back to you. By God's grace, she accepted those kids and our training programme will complete by tomorrow. What will we do if she didn't accept anyone? Now there is nothing to worry about her" she consoled me. I felt her love for Allen and me.
"You are right, Dhiya"
She didn't talk afterwards. Silence occupied us.
"Drop me in my flat," said Dhiya.
I wish her to stay with me because I felt very lonely today. Dhiya changed my life completely. I never even thought to kiss her but I did it. I knew it was my mistake and Dhiya won't forgive me forever. What will I do if Dhiya started hating me?
