Chapter 12: Chapter 12
Dhiya's POV
"Akshadh, Let us take Allen out by tomorrow. I knew it is risk to take Allen out but to overcome Xenophobia it is an essential step.,"
"No way, Dhiya. I am not ready to take any risk and it's consequences. Allen's life is more important to me," he said seriously.
"Do you trust me Akshadh? Even I am not ready to play with Allen's life. I am not going to take her out before a well-planned test. Till now, we showed her the images in laptop and next, we shall make her meet people. If she response we shall take her out for sure Akshadh. Don't worry,"
"I trust you Dhiya but Allen's life is entirely different from us. It is complicated and we can't expect the accuracy here. Now, she is recovering slowly and let her overcome Xenophobia slowly and steadily. I am not ready to take any hurry burry steps, Dhiya. I hope you understand,"
"Yes Akshadh, I could understand you and your love for Allen but...." I stopped.
"What? But?"
"Trust me Akshadh. We shall quit if her response is negative. Please, give me a last chance,"
He didn't reply.
"Also, I can't do it alone, I need ur support too," I said genuinely.
"Leave me alone for a few minutes, Dhiya. I need to think about it," he said and went to his room.
Then, I went to the kitchen to prepare dinner. The kitchen was neat and tidy. I found fresh vegetables there. I cleaned the veggies and started chopping it.
"What will I do if Akshadh didn't support? There is no other best way to treat Allen. How could I make him understand?" Random thoughts occupied me. Instead of chopping the vegetables, I cut my finger.
"Ahh!" I screamed.
Immediately, I washed my finger in the water. I found bleeding in the finger. I washed again.
Sometimes later, I tried to chop the vegetables hardly.
Akshadh came to Kitchen after a while, "Dhiya, What are you doing here?" He stood beside me.
"What will you do, when you are in kitchen?" I asked kidding him.
"We shall get dinner from outside. You are my guest. I don't want to trouble you, Dhiya,"
"Outside? Never. It is not good for our health and considering Allen, I should prepare Akshadh," I said convincing him.
"Hey! What happened to your finger?" he asked me instantly,
"Nothing Akshadh," immediately I bend my finger down as like nothing happened.
"Show me?"
He grabbed my hand and noticed the bleeding in the finger. He looked at me.
"Don't you have sense?" He scolded me.
"Why are scolding me Akshadh?" I said mocking a kid.
"Just keep quiet,"
He washed the finger with water. He grinded a small onion then he took the onion juice and applied it in my finger.
I looked at him and admired his care for me. Though he shouts at me I could understand the feelings behind the words. The person who shows the anger frankly will definitely have a beautiful hidden heart inside. Also, he shows only to me, it means I am very close to his heart.
His touch soothen the irritating sensational of the finger. His care melts my heart forever. Sometimes, I feel like he is the man born for me.
"Hey Dhiya, what are thinking? How much times I need to call you?" his words bring me back to the present.
"Akshadh, I remembered my parents who look after me with love and care. As I said before, the same kind of comfort that I could feel in you,"
He smiled. Silence occupied between us for a few minutes. I got up and resumed to cook.
"Dhiya, sit here. I will do,"
"Do you know to cook, Akshadh?" I asked shockingly.
"I am not expert but I knew to manage," he chuckled.
"That's great,"
He didn't allow me to cook. I stood nearby him. He completed preparing the gravy in his style. Then he prepared chapathi in different shapes. Really he is expert in everything. Then, we kept the chapati and gravy in a hotbox.
"Akshadh, what to do think about Allen's further treatment?"
"I trust you Dhiya. We shall proceed carefully," he showed a green signal.
I hugged him at once without thinking a fraction of second. I don't know how long we stay in that pose.
"Daddy," I heard Allen's voice and I left Akshadh immediately. Our eyes met for a few seconds.
"Daddy and Mumma! Yes, you both are here," Allen came running towards us. Akshadh lift her up and kept in his shoulder. Allen enjoyed the ride and she laughed cheerfully. With that cherish moments we together had our dinner.
Akshadh's POV
I have no alternative comments for Dhiya's suggestion but still, I was so scared to take next step in Allen's life. I had seen how the difficulties passed in Allen's life frequently due to Xenophobia. Each and every time, the small child overcame it by an unknown strength. I never expected this stage of Allen as this earlier and I am happy about it. At least I don't want to lose this happiness in our life. I knew I am stubborn in making a decision about the next step of Allen.
I came to my room and think about half an hour. Both positive and negative thoughts occupied about Allen. I confused myself about what to do next? Then, slowly I relaxed my mind and came to the conclusion. Let me give a chance for Dhiya's opinion because after Dhiya's entry in Allen's life brought a drastic improvement. After thinking twice, I was confident about my decision.
I came out of my room and searched for Dhiya. I searched her in Allen's room and other rooms except the kitchen, she didn't find anywhere. Finally, I went to the kitchen and found Dhiya there. A smile occupied me and unknown happiness gets filled in my heart. I stepped closer to Dhiya and stood two steps back to her. She didn't notice me. I felt her presence as my lovely moments in life. Then, I stepped two steps and stood beside her. She didn't look at me and I was troubled for words to start the converse. In this situation, I can't step back too what would she think about me?
I cleared my throat and somehow I managed "Dhiya, What are you doing here?"
"What will you do, when you are in kitchen?" again, She asked kidding him. I should be careful with this girl.
"We shall get dinner from outside. You are my guest. I don't want to trouble you, Dhiya," I said heartfully. I have to prepare or order food for her but she took full rights and occupied the kitchen. I was happy about it but still, I felt I shouldn't trouble Dhiya.
"Outside? Never. It is not good for our health and considering Allen, I should prepare Akshadh," she said convincing me
"Hey! What happened to your finger?"
"Nothing Akshadh," immediately she bends her finger down as like nothing happened.
"Show me?"
I grabbed her hand and noticed the bleeding in the finger. I looked at her and I was fumed with love mixed anger.
"Don't you have sense?"
"Why are scolding me Akshadh?" She said mocking a kid. Sometimes, she was so cute.
"Just keep quiet,"
I washed her finger with water. Then applied a home remedy that usually my mom would do it for me and my brother whenever we got injured.
Dhiya was looking at me without a blink and I looked into her eyes. I don't have the guts to look at her eyes more than a minute. I felt shy and embarrassed by her look.
"Hey, Dhiya!" I called her about a few times. She didn't respond.
"Hey Dhiya, what are thinking? How many times I need to call you?"
"Akshadh, I remembered my parents who look after me with love and care. As I said before, the same kind of comfort that I could feel in you,"
I smiled. She remembered her parents that is why she looked at me without a blink. Why did some unwanted feelings is occupying me about Dhiya, often? Silence occupied between us for a few minutes. Then, she got up and resumed to cook.
"Dhiya, sit here. I will do,"
"Do you know to cook, Akshadh?" I asked raising her eyebrows.
"I am not expert but I knew to manage,"
"That's great,"
I didn't allow her to cook. She stood near me. I completed preparing the gravy in my style. Then, I prepared chapathi in different shapes. Then, we kept the chapati and gravy in hotbox.
"Akshadh, what to do think about Allen's further treatment?"
"I trust you Dhiya. We shall proceed carefully,"
She hugged me at once without thinking a fraction of second. I was shocked and surprised at this moment. Did Dhiya love Allen this much? I felt very happy. I don't want to miss her in my life. Let this moment stay in our life forever. Don't leave me Dhiya. You are my love. Stay with me and Allen for our lifetime. I will never miss you in my life.
"Daddy," I heard Allen's voice and Dhiya left me immediately. Our eyes met for a few seconds.
"Daddy and Mumma! Yes, you both are here," Allen came running towards us. I lift her up and kept in my shoulder. Allen enjoyed the ride and she laughed cheerfully. With that cherish moments we together had our dinner.
