Glossary.
Tatafo, Amebo, Aproko - In Nigeria pidgin this means someone who talks a lot, gossips, and doesn't mind their business. A busy body.
Oyibo - In Nigerian pidgin this means a white person, or someone who looks like a white person. Often used to describe people with very light skin.
Mamaput- In Nigerian pidgin this means cheap food vendors, or food that's often gotten at the roadside, streets, shabby looking shops at a very cheap rate.
Pikin - In Nigerian pidgin, this means child.
Naira- The Nigerian currency.
Ahan - Exclamation commonly used by Nigerians to express surprise, outrage, shock, disappointment and so many other emotions.
Aunty mi- My aunty in Yoruba language, Younger people often use this to refer to ladies older than them as a sign of respect, not necessarily a relative or family member.
Ke- A question. How? Or Which, used in contexts like boyfriend ke, meaning which boyfriend or boyfriend how?
