Landon.
"Yes, you can check out the new threadmill when you're done," I said, pointing at the threadmill before walking away.
I saw a couple heading out of the gym and I quickly walked up to them.
"So, I hope that the instructor showed you around already," I said and they faced me.
"Yes, he already took care of everything and we got a membership card," the man replied with a smile.
"That's good to hear," I replied, "Hope you have a nice day," I waved at them and smiled.
"You too."
I sighed and I walked back to my office. I was sweating and the grey t-shirt I wore stuck to my body.
I sat down and leaned into the chair. It was evening already and I had nothing else to do.
Maybe I would find something to do if I go to the pack. I was about to pick up my wristwatch on the table when I saw the file that Viktor brought to me earlier.
Just like that, all my effort to stop thinking about him went to waste. Ever since he left me alone at Duchester Hall, I could help but think about him.
I wanted to know how he felt about seeing Luther. He must have avoided all of them for so many years only to actually have to confront one of them.
I remembered kissing him at the hall and my hands subconsciously went to my lips.
I missed him and I wanted to see him.
Okay. Change of plan, I'm no longer going to the pack, I need to see him. He would probably be at work at the moment. Maybe I can catch him before he leaves.

I slowly brought my car to a halt at the other side of the road facing the Rivera Headquarter building.
I looked at the building and saw Viktor walk out, holding a briefcase.
I opened the door of my car so I could go to him, but before I could climb down, he got into his car and drove off. I sighed and I closed the door.
Maybe this was my chance to know where he lives. I quickly start my car again and I drive onto the road, following Viktor's car. After ten minutes, I saw his car pull over and park in front of a fairly large house.
I imagined that he would be living in some sort of mansion. I pulled over too blocks away from his house. He climbed down from his car and I saw him look at my car with raised eyebrows. He seemed surprised to see my car, or me, if he could look in through the tinted glass.
I opened the door and climbed down from the car, walking up to him.
"Mr. Cartel, is there something you need help with?" He asked without a single trace of emotion on his face.
I frowned and I took a look at his house before facing him.
"Nothing. I just came to see you Viktor," I said and he nodded.
"I brought some work home from work and I really need to have it done today. We could schedule a meeting for another day," Viktor replied formally and I sighed. I don't know why he was behaving so formal with me.
I could even say that he was not happy with my presence. I remember that he kissed me back at the hall, but maybe I am just expecting too much from him because of it.
"Viktor, why are you doing this?" I asked him and he shut the door of his car, leaning on it and staring at me without an answer.
"I'm not here as a business partner, I'm here as.....as.... I'm here as a friend," I said, and he blinked, but that was the only thing that changed in his face. If he was going to be so cold to me, I'll try my best until I can get him to warm up to me.
I walked closer to him and smiled, "I'm sure you can spare some time for me," I said and he nodded before walking up to his house. I followed him and he reached into his pocket, pulling out his keys and opening the door.
I followed him inside and I looked around. The walls were painted white and there was a large television and home theater on the opposite wall that looked as if it hadn't been touched for a long time. There a small flower plant on the left side of the television with a round teal vase.
There were two cream couches opposite and adjacent to the television. There was a round glass table at the center with a brown carpet laid on the white marble tiles.
At the wall where I stood, there were two paintings hung on the wall and a lamp and wall clock at both corners.
There was a a large window on the left wall covered with a light brown window blind while the right side had an open arch that led to other parts of the house.
"Did you know I was following you?" I asked and Viktor faced me after dropping his briefcase on a couch and rolling the window blind up.
"I knew someone was following me, I didn't expect that it would be you," he replied with a tone of disappoinment and I nodded.
I didn't know what to say now and I put my hands in my pocket.
"So, have you-" I stopped talking as I heard someone knock on the door. I looked at the door and glanced at Viktor.
"Are you expecting someone?"
"Did someone come with you?"
Viktor walked to the door and he opened the door. I noticed that he looked frozen to see whoever was at the door so I walked up to him and I froze too.
It was the same youthful beauty I saw in Viktor's memories, "It was their Grandpa."
"My boy."
