Chapter 94: Chapter 94

Minerva De Martel

Dante.

It had been over a day since Natasha lost consciousness and she still hasn't woken up. I was scared but Jared kept assuring me that our body just needed time to regenerate.

While I have never heard of a wolf who was impervious to silver, it seemed like Jared knew well about it.

He told me that very few Werewolves have that variation in their blood and it's mostly caused if they have one parent who isn't werewolf.

Natasha was fully Werewolf so it had to be the other "possible options."

The silver didn't actually kill her, it stopped her heart and she will remain unconscious till it restarts.

I grunt as Nathan jabs me in the abdomen. He tries to throw a punch in my face, but I bend my head to the side and as his arm passes by my head, I grab it and groan as I flip him over in the air.

He lands on his back with a grunt and he doesn't stand up.

I sighed and walked to a bench, sitting on it and grabbing a water bottle.

"When do you think the real Gala event will rescheduled to?" Nathan asked, grunting as he got up on his feet.

"Maybe in some weeks or so. The Gala yesterday never happened to them so it might be earlier than we expect," I replied and squeezed the water bottle, throwing it into the waste bin.

I heard my phone ring and I picked it up, looking at the caller ID.

It was Silas.

"Silas-" I said and I stood up immediately, picking the line.

"How are you on doing Dante?" He asked.

"I'm doing fine. I hope that you've fully recovered already," I said and I walked to the window, looking out.

"I've been worse, thank you. I'm calling about the True Vampire you asked my help for," Silas said and I became super attentive, hoping that he already knew who it was.

"Yes, do you know who it is??" I asked quickly. King

"I do not kmow exactly, but I'll send some men now to give you the leads I found," he replied.

That was okay. As long as I'm able to know where to expect an attack from.

"Alright. Thanks for the help," I said and he ended the call from his end.

"At least now, we'll be able to watch our backs," I said and Nathan shrugged.

"I don't know why Silas is still helping us," Nathan said and I raised my eyebrows.

"Well, after you no longer have ties with him," he said and I nodded.

"I guess he's just doing it for his daughter," I replied and I walked out of the training room.

"Yes, but we need to remember that we are Werewolbes and he is still a Vampire, the leader of LA's most powerful clan at that," Nathan stated. I don't know why he's being so paranoid.

"If he married a Werewolf, why would any of that matter," I said and Nathan shrugged.

"All right, I'm going to inform the guards at the gate that we will be expecting some Vampires."

***

I slid into my shoes and walked out of the room. As I walked to the door, Nathan also walked out of his room and we walked to the door.

I just got notified by one of the guards that the Vampires had arrived at the estate and they were being escorted here.

I looked as a car driving down here from the end of the street.

I usually don't allow Vampires to come into the pack. All meetings were held outside the pack estate, but there were always exceptions for Kiara's family.

The car soon stopped in front of the bukdin and three people climbed out of it. A guard and two Vampires.

"Thank you, Lucas, you can come in and wait till they are leaving," Nathan said and the guard nodded before climbing up and walking into the mansion.

"Come in," I said to the Vampires and I turned around so we could all go to an general room to discuss. .

I sat down and gestured at couches for them to sit down.

"So, I have reason to believe that you were sent here by Silas," I asked, first making sure that these Vampires were really sent by Silas.

"Yes, About the lead we have on the True Vampire," one of them replied and I nodded.

"Okay, what is it?" I asked quickly.

"We did an investigation and every true vampire in LA and we found out that there are two of them who might have a reason to get back at your family," he replied.

"What?! I didn't offend a True Vampire, not to talk of two," I srated defensively. I don't think I've even ever met more than one True Vampire in my life, and that is Silas.

"Not you" the other Vampire said and I nodded as I realised who it would be.

"My father," I said softly and he nodded.

"So who are they??" I asked.

"The first one is General Ryker, he is actually the previous owner of this estate land," he replied and my eyes widened in surprise.

Then how is there an entire Werewolf pack on it right now. Normally, a Vampire and Vampire group would never sell what they own to each other. Whichever group buys it would be considered superior.

"Your father deceived him and got hold of the land by having it bought through an human agency," the Vampire explained and I smiled.

Darn, that was a smart move. But -

"But we don't think he's the one since that can't cause him to hold so much grudge till the point of the extreme threats you described," the Vampire said just what was on my mind.

"Unless, he's an outrageously sensitive person," Nathan stated and I shrugged.

"Who's the other person?" I asked.

"Minerva De Martel," he replied. The name sounded familar.

"I Heard she's the leader of the biggest underground Mafia group," Nathan said and I remembered that was how I knew her name.

She wasn't even part of any Vampire clan. I didn't know she was a True Vampire.

"What did my father do to her?"

"She was in love with a Vampire Werewolf Hybrid who used to be a member of the old MoonStone pack," the Vampire explained.

The old MoonStone pack was actually a combination of Black Cedar Pack and Gemini Pack before it split. It happened when I was a very young boy.

"During the split, the Hybrid wanted to be the leader of Black Cedar Pack so your father had him assassinated." They explained and I nodded.

That was a valid reason to want revenge on me since my father was dead. But why wait all this while till now.

"Minerva tried to get revenge, but your father drove a sword in her heart, locked her up in a coffin and threw it to the bottom of the sea," the Vampire continued explaining. Since she was a True Vampire, that won't kill her, but she would have been in pain, drowning again and again for years.

"She resurfaced four years ago, but we found out about what happened during our investigation," he said.

Well, that was an even atomhe reason to want revenge.

If she was really bitter towards me because of what my dad did, then I think I need to see her and find out what she wants exactly.
