Chapter 93: Chapter 93

Threats
Dante.
I picked up the Silver Oak dagger, quickly zooming back to Natasha and stretching it out to her.
"Take it. You're right, let's end this."
She grabbed the dagger from me and I rested my palms on my waist to see if she would really do it. .
She held the dagger to her chest and I gulped. I hated that I felt so scared right now. This was finally the chance I had to free myself of the emotions I felt right now. The same emotions that caused me pain in the past.
I looked at her and I cursed myself at the bond I felt and the urge I had to knock the dagger out of her hand. I gulped and took a step back to stop myself from stopping her. I wouldn't regret what I don't feel again.
"Well then, I reject you. I reject you as my mate!" She yelled and just as I was about to run forward to it stop her, she stabbed herself with the dagger.
I expected to feel something. To feel the ache in my chest like Jack described, but I felt nothing.
I looked up and saw that Natasha's eyes closed and as she fell, I quickly rushed forward and I carried her in my arms.
I looked at her chest and saw that she was bleeding. This wasn't supposed to be happening.
The Silver Oak dagger wasn't supposed to hurt physically at all. It was imbued with protection magic.
I grabbed the dagger and I pulled it out of her heart. I looked at the blood stained blade and observed it closely.
What?? My eyes widened as I realised that this was a regular silver dagger.
My heart began to beat rapidly and I looked at Natasha again.
"Natasha, Natasha," I called her, but her eyes were closed and.........and...... I couldn't hear her heartbeat!
I immediately lifted her up and I shook her, but she didn't open her eyes. I immediately began carried her up properly and I hurriedly ran down the corridor.
I created a general telepathic message, "I need a doctor to come to the main pack mansion immediately. It's an emergency."
My room was closer so I rushed in and I placed Natasha on my bed.
I thought she said she couldn't be killed by silver, I really hope that she was right..
I'm not going to forgive myself if something bad happens to her. This was all my fault. I shouldn't have said any of those things to her.
With the anger gone, I realized that I said all those things cause I wanted to get back at her for making me so scared for her back at the hall when Luther tried to attack and when the Vampires started shooting.
"Come to my room now," I said through the telepathic link as I sensed someone walk into the building.

I sighed as they checked on her and assured me that she was okay. Her heart was no okay, but apparently she was not dead.
She had to go through some recovery and literally come back to life.
There were three doctors in my room right now that came after I sent the telepathic message.
"Alright. You can go," I said and they all picked up the things they brought, walking out of the room.
"Jared -" I stopped one of the doctors.
"Come back later to check on her," I instructed and he nodded, muttering an "okay" before walking out of my room.
I sighed and I walked closer to the bed, sitting at the edge of the bed.
I looked up as I heard a knock on my door again and I went to open the door.
It was Nathan.
"You didn't tell me that you would be coming back today," I said, and left the door open, going back to sit on my bed.
"Yeah, I didn't know too," he replied and closed the door, leaning on
"I saw Jared on my way out now and be told me that something to Natasha," Nathan said, nodding at Natasha who was lying unconsciously on my bed.
"Yes, she stabbed herself in the heart," I replied and Nathan's eyes widened in surprise.
"What?!"
"Well, she didn't mean to kill herself. We thought it would.........." I stopped and Nathan raised his eyebrows in curiosity.
"Break the mate bond," I said quickly and just as I expected, he had that look if disappointment and disapproval.
"What?!"
"Yes, was it you who switched out the Silver Oak dagger?" I asked and he nodded.
"Yes, I saw it when I came to get something and since it was rare to find, I kept it in the weapon room," Nathan replied.
"There was another dagger there with similar hilts so the both of you assumed it was the one," he added and rolled his eyes.
"So what happened at the Gala?" Nathan asked and I sighed.
"It was all a setup by Luther," I replied and Nathan's eyeballs enlarged.
"As in Luther Redwood?" He asked and I affirmed with a nod.
"Everyone who came was compelled and he came with several Vampires to get back at us for Javier," I explained.
"You wouldn't believe who scared him away," I said and Nathan raised his eyebrows in curiosity.
"Viktor," I replied and Nathan looked even more surprised, gasping slightly.
"Luther called him brother and he seemed scared of Viktor. Luther was about to leave with his men, but they began to shoot at everyone including him."
"They were compelled, but Viktor singlehandedly knocked all of the them down."
"Compelled-" Nathan said and I looked up at him.
"A True Vampire."
"Yes, and it must be the one who sent the threat message through the compelled Vampires," I stated and sighed..
There were so many things going on right now, and now I had to think about a True Vampire holding a grudge against me for unknown reasons.
I didn't even know who it was and they could launch any form of surprise attack.
And then, there's Luther Redwood.
