Chapter 88: Chapter 88

Defeat
Landon.
Javier was dressed in a long black leather coat and his super black and long hair fell over his shoulder. His eyes had a sparking green color and his lips were voluptuous red.
He didn't look like himself.
"That isn't Javier. That's Luther Redwood," Viktor said and my eyes widened in surprise. That was the second one I saw in the memory.
"What do you want??" Dante asked him and he walked forward a bit.
"I believe that you already know the preposterous offense you have committed against me and the only luxury I'm gonna be giving you today is choosing if you die first, or watch your friends die first," Luther said in a smooth British accent.
I looked at all the other Vampires in the room. They were so many and there was no way the four of us could beat them.
"I don't know what you're talking about," Dante said and he was obviously trying to stall.
"Quit the pointless feigning of ignorance, afterall, you couldn't have completely washed off the stains of Javier's blood on your hands," Luther retorted, "the impulsive fool got what was coming for him, but no one has the right to lay a finger on the RedWoods," he added.
I knew he'd be more ruthless than Javier with the way they behaved with Rhazien in the memory.
"And coming here today means the same thing is going to happen to you," Dante said confidently.
What the fuck was Dante saying?? He was only going to get Luther angrier than he already is and kill us all.
"You are crazy, aren't you?" Luther asked, smirking slightly.
"You'll get to see it fully tonight. I'm just gonna need enough space," Dante said, looking at all the guests in the hall. I get what he was trying to do.
He wanted Luther to let them go so they won't get hurt during the fight.
Luther smiled lightly this time and looked around.
"You can all go. The Gala was postponed and you'll forget everything that happened here today," Luther said in a soft tone and all the Vampires with him repeated after him so it would work on each person they compelled.
All of the guests present immediately walked out orderly and the door was closed.
"So let's see that craziness of yours," Luther said and his eyes dark became an even darker green color, dark lines forming around his eyes.
He took off his coat, letting it fall to the ground and he was wearing only a black pant and grey shirt that showed the outlines of his muscles.
Two large wings immediately sprouted out of his back, flapping gently in the air. They looked deadly, but not half as awesome and scary as the ones Rhazien had as a teenager.
"So what will it be? You first or them?" He asked and I gulped nervously. I didn't think that today was the day I died.
Dante grabbed a chair and smashed it on the ground, picking up two wooden pieces with sharp tips that would serve as stakes.
"I choose you," He replied, glaring Defiantly at Luther.
The other Vampires in the room sprouted wings too and I became even more scared and nervous. I had hoped that they would be lesser Vampires who would be easy to kill.
Luther really planned all this well with the intention to kill us today.
"Finish them," Luther said and I prepared to fight them. All of a sudden, Viktor pushed me back and he stood in front of us.
"No, stop!" He shouted and they all stopped moving. He sounded so different - his voice was smoother and it sounded metallic. He sounded just like Rhazien.
"You need to stop this," Viktor added and I looked at Luther to see if he knew Viktor.
Viktor looked completely different from Rhazien, but I felt he was the one. I knew he was the one.
"I know that voice," Luther said with a look of recognition and I glanced at Viktor.
I was right after all. Viktor and Rhazien were the same person.
"Hello brother." Luther said with a mischievous smirk.
"What?! Brother?!" Dante exclaimed in surprise. If I didn't know Dante better, I'd say that he was feeling so angry and betrayed right now. He'll feel that he was deceived by Viktor all this while and he won't calm down until he gets a satisfying explanation.
"How many years has it been now since you ran away and disappointed Papa?" Luther asked and he raised up his hand to signal the other Vampires around to stand down.
They all moved back and their wings retracted back in. I felt a bit relieved, but I didn't let my guards down as anything could still happen.
I was the only one here who partly understood what was happening here. Dante looked so confused while I couldn't explain Natasha's expression.
Viktor remained silent and stood defensively in front of Luther.
"I was glad you left, you were already getting on my nerves by being constantly worshipped for what you do," Luther continued, gently tapping his left foot on the ground.
"Then you know how advisable it is to take your Vampires with you and get out of here," Viktor threatened and I remembered all the things I saw him do in the memory..
Luther chuckled and he nodded in defeat.
"Consider yourself lucky for today," Luther said, facing Dante.
"But I'll see to it that you pay for laying your hands on a Redwood," he threatened and he turned around to go.
I expected the Vampires he came with to turn around to and go with him, but all of a sudden, they all reached into their pockets and pulled out guns.
"What....what are you doing?" Luther asked them and he looked like he also didn't expect what they were all doing.
"I said, let's go!" He yelled at them, but they all ignored him and in unison, they cocked their guns.
"Get down!"
