Chapter 66: Chapter 66

Dark Room

Dante.

I pulled out my phone from my pocket again and began to scroll through the app page. I looked up as I saw the lady I met earlier walk towards the bar and sit on the stool next to me.

"Don't tell me that you ordered just coke," she said and I glanced at the can of coke on the counter.

"Hmn." I nodded.

"Oh, not a man like you," she said and I sighed on the inside. That I had sex with her one time doesn't mean that she can behave as if she's close with me.

"I already had some wine, now if you don't mind, I'm trying to keep a straight head here," I replied as cold as I could so she would get the message.

"That's alright to do but come on just one more glass won't hurt," she persisted and I sighed on the inside looking up from my phone.

"I don't want to drink alone," she added and I sighed loudly this time.

I was also testing and this coke wouldn't do anything, so I decided to get one glass of wine not because she was asking me to, but because I wanted it.

"Alright, one glass," I said and she beamed with a smile.

"One glass of your best wine," she said and the bartender nodded. He soon came back and presented our glasses to us..

"Cheers," the lady said and stretched out her glass, but I pulled my glass away and took a sip of the alcohol.

She shrugged casually and contained taking her wine.

I was already getting impatient waiting here and I kept expecting Nathan to text me that the meeting was over.

I finished the wine and the lady stood up, paying the bartender and leaving before I could stop her.

I didn't want to owe a random stranger so I was going to go after her and pay pay her back when I felt my phone was in my pocket.

I stopped and I reached into my pocket, pulling on my phone. It was Nathan.

Nathan: The meeting is over, Marc just left.

Dante; on my way.

I quickly texted him back and I turned around walking over to the back of the bar. This part of the club was much darker

I looked around to find the room where the meeting was held so we could catch Roseline before she even has the chance to leave the room since Marc and his guards had left.

I quickly placed my hand on the wall as I felt strange in my body. My head felt light all of a sudden and I wondered how two glasses of wine could have affected me this way.

I wanted to continue working but I felt dizzy all of a sudden and I almost fell to the ground.

I immediately knew that this was not just ordinary. Someone must have drugged me. It definitely couldn't have been when I was in the VIP section so the only other option is the glass of wine I had with that lady.

As I thought about it I remembered seeing the lady and the bartender share strange glances for a split second.

Shit! I was deceived!

I leaned on the wall slowly pushing myself forward so I could walk back to the crowd and get to safety.

Almost there. Almost there, I kept telling myself as I tried to fight the powerful urge to go to sleep.

"Not so fast," I heard a voice behind me and the last thing I felt was an heavy object smacking me at the back of the head.

***

I slowly opened my eyes as I stirred back to consciousness. I winced as I felt a sharp pain at the back of my head.

Fuck!

I tried to lift up my hand so I could rub my head but I felt a restriction.

I slowly began to get aware of my surroundings and I took a look around to see that I was in a dark room. The painting of the walls were old and washed.

The wooden ceiling was also hold and there were cracks forming in it.

I looked down and I saw that I was sitting on the chair with my hands tied to the back of the chair. I tried to move my hand, but I felt a sharp bite in my wrists and I knew that they were bound by silver chains.

"You're finally awake," I heard Nathan's voice and I look sideways to see him also tied to a chair.

"Hi," he said and I sighed.

How the hell did we end up here? We were supposed to be the predators at the club, but look at us.

I should have realised it that it couldn't be just a coincidence that I met that lady on the day the Mystic Fangs wanted to send a message and on the day that we wanted to catch Roseline.

I sighed again.

I let my guard down and I felt so stupid.

"The text message, were you the one that sent it?" I asked and Nathan stared at me for a while as if he didn't know what I was saying.

"No," he shook his head.

"I was about to text you, but I didn't send it before someone attacked me," Nathan replied.

The attacker must have sent the message to lure me there. It was all planned. The news you drug would starts taking it's effect on me when I get there.

"We have to find a way to get out of here," I said I looked around again. There was no window in the room.

The only way out was through the narrow wooden door at the front.

I looked up as the door opened with a loud creak and two women walked into the room.

It was Roseline and the lady from the club.

"Sorry but there is no way out of here for the both of you," Roseline said with a wicked smile and I itched so badly to ruin that face of hers.

"I'm going to make sure that you to regret ever laying your hands on me." I gritted my teeth with a threatening glare.

"Well, I'm going to call Mr. Javier now and let him know what we have here."
