Chapter 62: Chapter 62

Dagger
Dante.
"He couldn't have possibly left the pack," I said as we searched around for Bastien. Where the hell did that bastard go??
I never thought that I would have to confront that man again! I thought that I would have him locked up and suffer for the rest of his life!
I was furious and I was holding myself from going crazy.
This was Natasha's fault. Bastien was the one responsible for Kiara's death and in turn ruining my life, how could she have let him escape.
Why the hell did she leave the mansion? How did she even leave the room since I locked the door from behind.
"Isn't that Natasha?" Nathan asked and my fists clenched tightly subconsciously.
Natasha!" I shouted on top of my voice and Natasha immediately stopped walking. She slowly turned around to face us and she looks scared.
I was so furious right now. What was she doing here? Is she trying to mess with me right now?
I began to walk down to meet her and I stopped as I got close to her.
"What are you doing here? I thought I locked you up in the room!" I yelled at her.
Her lips quivered and she looked so scared.
"I....... I wanted to come and find Bastien," she replied quickly. What the hell was she saying? How could she come out here alone to find Bastien?!
What if she saw him and then he hurt her? What if he killed her?! I felt my heart beat rapidly at the thought of that and I was so scared.
"Find him?! How can you come out here on your own!! What if... What if he...." I stopped talking quickly as I realise that I was only going to show that I cared for her if I said it
"I can find him. I can sense him," Natasha said and I felt infuriated.
What rubbish was she saying?? Was she magician? How the hell can she sense him?
"What do you mean? What are you talking about?" I asked, trying not to overreact.
"I can use his blood to track him down," Natasha said and I looked at her hand to see that she was holding one of the arrowheads that had been in Bastien's heart. It was stained with blood.
"He is in this street. I can sense him," Natasha continued talking. I still couldn't believe that she could truly sense his presence or track him down.
"You don't..."
"Dante, let's try and see if it really works," Nathan interrupted me. I swallowed and I nodded.
"Fine. Track him if you can," I said and I breathed out deeply.
Natasha nodded and turned around to continue walking down the street. I and the other men followed her behind, and I wondered if she even knew where she was going.
Natasha suddenly stopped walking and I stared at our inquisitively.
"He is here," Natasha said and I looked around.
"Where?"
"There." Natasha pointed at a house on the left side of the road. She seemed so sure and certain that Bastien was really there and this confidence made me wonder if she could really sense him.
I glanced at Nathan and Nathan shrugged before walking past me towards the house.
I followed after him and we all stopped as we got to the front of the house. I looked around the house and I began to smell Bastien's blood. At first, I thought it was from the arrowhead Natasha was holding, but it was different this time.
I could smell the pure blood in his veins.
"You are right," I said
"I can smell his vampire blood," I added. Since Bastien was really here, we will have to confront him and I didn't want Natasha to get up in the middle of the confrontation.
"We will take it from here, Ark we are company you back today mansion," I said, pointing at the road.
I wanted to be here so I can fix the mess that I caused by myself.
She look like she didn't want to listen and she wanted to stay. I couldn't allow that.
All of a sudden, I felt something breeze past me. I looked up and I saw Bastien holding a silver dagger to Natasha's neck..
My heart began to beat rapidly and I gulped in fear..
"Bastien-" I said, slowly walking forward..
"Don't you dare take one more step forward!" Bastien yelled holding the dagger tighter to Natasha's neck.
"What do you want?" I asked and stopped walking.
"I want to live your life miserable and for you to rot in hell!" Bastien yelled.
"Bastien, let her go and we can talk this through," Nathan said and he walked up to stand beside me.
"Talk this through?" Bastien scoffed and he slowly moved back with Natasha.
"Did you try to talk to me when you tied me up with chains in your dungeon and left three arrows in my heart?" Bastien asked angrily.
"She left me to suffer in the dark and I didn't even know how long I spent there. Weeks?? Months?? Years???" He asked bitterly.
"Just let her go and you can leave," I said, but he shook his head.
"Do you really think I'm a fool, escaping is not enough! I need to watch you burn and suffer like I did!" He said on top of his voice and when I tried to move closer to him, he pressed the dagger against Natasha's throat.
"Plus, I responsible for killing your precious little Kiara so why would you let me go now Hungh?" He asked and then he looked at Natasha.
"Unless......... This kind hearted lady I have with me is equally as important as Kiara," Bastien said with a wicked smile.
"She isn't! No one is ever going to be as important as Kiara!" I yelled at him and I saw Natasha face go pale immediately. She looked so hurt more than she should be bothered about the dagger at her throat.
All of a sudden she raised up her hand, grabbed Bastien's hand and drove the long blade of the dagger into her throat.
Nooooo!!
