A Trophy In Progress

Dante.

"Wait, how do you know so much about my pack structure? Who the hell is your spy!" I asked loudly, knowing there was no way he could have planned the attack so perfectly without info on the pack structure.

"I'm sure you don't want to know," Silas said with a grin. So there was really a spy. Who was it?

"Yes, who the fuck was it?!"

"Kiara. My spy was Kiara."

I couldn't believe my ears.

"You compelled your own daughter?" I asked in disbelief and he gently rolled his eyes.

"Yes, and I would do I again of I could," Silas replied.

"I was going to compell her to leave you, but that won't work on her werewolf side bonded to you. If only I could." Silas slowly walked in a circle around me.

How have I ever never seen this side of Silas. Or maybe I was just too stupid to think he would be a saint as he pretended to be.

He is the general of one of LA's biggest Vampire Clan. True Vampire or not, he couldn't have gotten there by being a moral or honorable man.

"Why?" I asked.

"Why what?"

"Why didn't you want Kiara to be with me. You married a Werewolf so I don't think you hate us," I added and he chuckled.

"Hate? I detest werewolves." Silas scoffed.

"Yes, I once loved my wife, but I was a fool to think that I could be in a relationship with a Werewolf."

"What happened?" I asked out of curious and Silas smiled lightly.

"Well, years ago, there was a naive and innocent Vampire. He didn't cause trouble with anyone, but for some reason, the General of his clan wanted him dead." Silas narrated with the same smile still on his face.

"Being chased by those sent to kill him, a silver arrow struck him, but it missed his heart, or so he thought. This Vampire woke up and he saw a pair of the most beautiful eyes he had ever seen looking directly at him." Silas smile grew even wider that it felt like he was looking directly at someone he loved so dearly.

"She seemed angelic, but as his senses slowly came back to him, she turned out as a Werewolf. A werewolf was an enemy to Vampires, the instantly thought and backed away."

"But she saved him and was ready to let him go. The stupid Vampire pushed away his basic instincts and fell in love with the Werewolf. He thought things would be good for them, but he was captured by the brothers of the Werewolf and they tortured the daylight out of him."

"He thought he would die, but death refused to come and he realized what he was. He was born as a Vampire who feasts on Vampires. A nightmare of nightmares. A True Vampire," Silas said in a thicker voice and his eyes became a faint red color.

"He broke the chains that bound him and went killed everyone around him. Then he went for the General who once sought to kill him next and he took his head." Silas'red eyes shifted into a bright golden color, a color only True Vampires could attain.

"The naive and innocent Vampire became a General of a large clan overnight. He was becoming more and more powerful and his wife who he hid in his fortress from the people was pregnant with their second child. Things were okay." He continued and I knew that whatever happened would come next.

"Then he heard a news. The one thing in the world that could kill him was growing right in his clan. A tree of it," Silas explained and his golden eyes shifted to their normal blue color.

Dragon Blood wood. That was the only thing that could kill True Vampires and it was extremely rare.

"How crueler could fate be. A fucking tree of the rarest tree on earth was growing in the Vampire's clan. He wanted to burn down the tree, but you know nature, it always wants balance, and True Vampires are bound by nature to be unable to destroy Dragon Blood Wood," Silas said in irritation.

"Some Vampires in his clan took advantage of this. They would only burn down the tree if he killed the Werewolf he was hiding in the fortress. His wife who was pregnant with their child. He never wanted to hurt her, but if he left the tree to grow, he knew it would only be a matter of time before someone came for the throne." Silas eyes darkened and he stopped moving.

"Just as his wife gave birth to their daughter and slept. He poisoned her in her sleep so he could watch the growing tree burn down to nothing."

"And that is why a relationship between a Vampire and Werewolf is doomed to turn out bad. I was only hoping I would find a way for you to die first, but my precious Kiara lost her life." Silas said in anger.

"I didn't kill Kiara and even if I did, my pack did nothing to deserve the attack!" I yelled at Silas, struggling within the chains again.

"It was a raid. A perfectly normal thing between Vampires and Werewolves like you should have deducted from my story." Silas stepped back a bit and he walked to the table at the corner of the room.

"What do you want with me? Do you want to kill me! Get on with it cause I won't bring Kiara back!" I yelled loudly.

He stopped as he got to the table and he looked over his shoulder at me with a devious smirk before opening the box on the table.

It was filled with several silver weapons and torture devices.

"Oh no, death is too lenient a punishment for you. I'll make you beg for death, and it's never gonna come."

I tried to calm my racing heart so he wouldn't hear and think that I was afraid. I couldn't give him that satisfaction.

"Do what you want," I replied and asked, "where is Natasha?"

He smiled again and turned around to face me, "she's locked away in a different room."

"What are you going to do with her? She has nothing to do with this!" I asked in anger.

"I know that," Silas replied calmly.

"She's here fora different reason. Let's just say that she's a trophy. In progress. A trophy in progress."
