Hunt Down

Dante.

"Thanks," I took the transparent bag from the Vampire Silas sent.

"I'll go now," he said and he climbed into his car, driving away.

I closed the door and looked at the transparent bag. I have to get this to Natasha.

I quickly walked to her room, but I saw her heading out. She didn't look happy to see me and I remembered what transpired between us yesterday.

"Dante, I need to talk to you."

"Natasha. I need to talk to you." We said at the same time.

"You go first," she said.

"You know how you tracked down Rhazien with a drop of his blood the other time?"

She nodded in affirmation.

"Yeah, so I need to track down some guys and all we have is a wristwatch, can you track them down?" I asked.

I might have to persuade her, cause it seems she has somewhere to go and doing this might make her pass out like the last time.

"Yeah, I guess," she replied and I sighed on the inside in relief. I was so eager to know the location of the bastards who hurt Kiara so I can show them hell and make sure my face is the last thing they ever see.

I didn't want to have Natasha raise any question so I took the anger I was feeling completely out of my face.

"That's great, you-"

"But Dante, wait-" she interrupted me and I silently prayed that she wasn't going to say she would do it after she comes back from wherever she is going.

"I just had a dream that the pack was attacked and many people died," she said and I scrunched up my face.

A dream-

"So?"

"My dreams always happen in reality," she stated.

Wait, what! She's one of those dreamers. If that was true and she saw the pack get attacked, then it could possibly happen.

"Alright. We'll look into it. I need you to track that wristwatch now," I said, but my answer didn't seem to satisfy her as her forehead creased and she sighed.

"You're not listening to me, Dante," she raised her voice and I shoved my fingers into my hair.

What am I not listening to for fuck's sake.

"I think the attackers are in the pack and we need to track them down before they carry out their plans," she added.

She's the one capable of doing the tracking, why is she pointing it out. I was getting impatient already so I quickly answered her.

"Okay, then we'll track them down." She sighed again.

"You're not listening again, I can't handle tracking more than once in like 3 days," she said loudly.

Wait, is she trying to tell me that she can only track down the source of an attack she thinks is gonna happen.

An attack that we are uncertain of.

"Then we track the wristwatch first and follow your hunch later."

"It's not just a hunch Dante, it's going to happen!" She yelled and I sighed in frustration.

She was beginning to compound on the anger I had been feeling since the attack on me and Kiara was brought up by Silas yesterday.

"This involves the lives of several members of this pack and you need to take it seriously!"

"I can't. I can't take it serious!" I yelled back at her, throwing my hand in the air.

"You know why?"

"Cause the pack is fully secure and you just slept on the wrong side of the bed yesterday!" I breathed in and out deeply to calm myself down.

"I'm not saying that your dreams don't actually happen, but maybe this one is just a nightmare. Everyone is allowed to have a nightmare! You're allowed to have a nightmare!"

I was so frustrated right now. I knew I couldn't make her track down the owner of the Wristwatch if she didn't want to, but I really wanted her to.

And I'm gonna let a nightmarr make me lose the chance I have to complete exert revenge for Kiara.

"Who are those you want to track?" She suddenly asked. My lips quivered as I tried to come up with a lie.

She is already so hesitant to track down the owner of the wristwatch, she'll refuse to if she knows the real purpose.

"Ummm.... They abducted so many pack members and they absconded. One of them dropped a wristwatch while running," I lied gritting my teeth with my mouth closed. I just deceived her by appealing to her sympathy and I felt so guilty.

"Alright, I'm in a hurry, do you have the wristwatch?"

"Yes."

I quickly handed the transparent bag to her and she took out the wristwatch..

She closed her eyes, clutching the wristwatch tightly.

I stared at her, her eyeballs moving around beneath her closed eyelids.

She finally opened her eyes with a gasp.

"Did you find them?"

"Yes, they are somewhere around White Royal Hotel," she replied.

White Royal Hotel, White Royal Hotel, yeah, I know where that is.

I looked at Natasha and noticed that she looked a bit pale and weakened.

"Are you okay?" I asked.

"Yes, I just feel drained."

"Alright. Thanks," I said and I quickly walked back to my room.

I wasn't going to waste one more minute now that I know where I could find the men who assisted Bastien.

I walked to my closet and opened the drawer filled with weapons.

I hid two daggers and two pistols loaded with silver bullets.

I could possibly be going somewhere filled with many Vampires so I couldn't go alone.

Nathan had no idea about what I was about to do, but he was not around either. He left this morning to God knows where.

I created a telepathic link with Nico and walked out of my room.

"Nico, meet me outside the mansion with five men. We have some Vampires to hunt down."
