Chapter 138: Chapter 138

Just A Nightmare

Dante.

I picked up my handbag and gulped, moving away from the mirror.

As soon as I'm done with Kara, I have to do something about that dream.

I dropped my phone in my bag and walked out of the room, shutting the door. As I walked out, I saw Dante approach me from his room and I gulped nervously remembering how he kissed me yesterday.

I always imagined that moment, but it felt nothing like I wanted it to be. It felt desperate and empty of the right emotions.

I remembered the dream I had again and thought that I should let him know so he can start doing something about it before I go.

"Dante, I need to talk to you."

"Natasha. I need to talk to you." We said at the same time.

"You go first," I said.

"You know how you tracked down Rhazien with a drop of his blood the other time?" He as

"Yeah, so I need to track down some guys and all we have is a wristwatch, can you track them down?" Dante asked.

I was stronger than I was then so I should be able to track them down especially if the wristwatch us frequently worn by the owner.

"Yeah, I guess," I replied.

"That's great, you-"

"But Dante, wait-" I interrupted him. The dream I had was very important and something would happen in that form.

"I just had a dream that the pack was attacked and many people died," I said and his glare at me said, "So?"

"My dreams always happen in reality," I said and he showed surprise for a while before nodding.

"Alright. We'll look into it. I need you to track that wristwatch now," Dante said and I sighed in frustration.

"You're not listening to me, Dante," I said with an higher tone.

"I think the attackers are in the pack and we need to track them down before they carry out their plans," I stated and he nodded as if everything I said didn't seem important to him.

"Okay, then we'll track them down," he said and I sighed again.

"You're not listening again, I can't handle tracking more than once in like 3 days," I said frantically and he now looked like he understood everything I've been trying to tell him since.

"Then we track the wristwatch first and follow your hunch later," Dante stated.

"It's not just a hunch Dante, it's going to happen!" I raised my voice so maybe he would stop by taking this so seriously.

"This involves the lives of several members of this pack and you need to take it seriously!"

"I can't. I can't take it serious!" He said, dramatically waving his hands..

"You know why?"

"Cause the pack is fully secure and you just slept on the wrong side of the bed yesterday."

"I'm not saying that your dreams don't actually happen, but maybe this one is just a nightmare. Everyone is allowed to have a nightmare! You're allowed to have a nightmare!" He showed his frustration.

Maybe he was right. How could Vampires possibly get into the pack talkless of planting bombs. But it could be symbolic.

It doesn't necessarily have to happen the same way.

Since Dante was so bent on having the owner of the wristwatch changed, it must be important.

"Who are those you want to track?" I asked and he seemed stunned by the question for a second.

"Ummm.... They abducted so many pack members and they absconded. One of them dropped a wristwatch while running," he said and I felt so worried for the families of those abducted.

"Alright, I'm in a hurry, do you have the wristwatch?" I asked, taking a look at my wristwatch. I had less than 15 minutes to meet Kara.

"Yes," he reached into his pocket and pulled out a transparent bag. He handed it to me and I took the wristwatch out of the bag.

Immediately I touched it, I felt a strong presence on the wristwatch.

It was luck to have such a strong presence to track on the wristwatch. Too much luck.

I breathed in deeply and closed my eyes, holding on to the wristwatch tightly.

I pushed my mind out into the darkness and I straight down the present I could feel from the wristwatch. I reached a mental barrier again and it took me a while but this time it was easier to break through it.

My mind moved at full speed across the darkeness until I began to hear voices.

"Has anyone fucking seen Nash!"

My eyes darted around so I can take notice of every detail before suddenly pulling out of the darkness and opening my eyes.

"Did you find them?" Dante asked.

"Yes, they are somewhere around White Royal Hotel," I said and Dante smiled in satisfaction.

I felt lightheaded, but I blinked multiple times and breathed to clear my head.

"Are you okay?" Dante asked.

"Yes, I just feel drained," I assured.

"Alright. Thanks," Dante said and he walked away.

I breathed in deeply again before walking out of the building. I climbed into one of Dante's car, a grey lexus and I started the engine.

Kara would be so down if I don't make it today. And all this for a guy on Tinder who didn't even put his picture.

I still can't get over the feeling of dread from the dream and as much as I want to believe that it's just a nightmare, I couldn't.

It has never been just a nightmare, and I don't think this is going to be a first.

I'm gonna go shopping with Kara and then, I'll find a way to investigate without tracking.
