Chapter 136: Chapter 136

Wristwatch

Dante

"What if the only way the Tribrid can manifest is when I temporarily die?" Nathasha asked, but I was convinced that wasn't possible.

If not pain, then what else. Fear.

How can I make her afraid without her being ready for it. I stopped to think and I got an idea about how I could.

I put my hands behind my back and I secretly pulled out a dagger.

As soon as I showed my hand, I immediately tossed the dagger at Natasha, watching as the dagger whizzed right through the air at her.

Natasha eyes flickered at the dagger and they became dark in few seconds.

She stretched out her hands that were glowing brightly and invisible blasts fired out of her hand. I knew it was a blast since I felt it hit me and throw me of my feet.

The force slammed me against the wall and the dagger disintegrated into tiny particles and vaporised.

I felt my rib crack as I fell on the floor and I gritted my teeth..

I groaned as I sat up on the floor and looked up to see that Nathasha's darkened eyes were back to normal and her hands were no longer glowing.

Natasha grunted in frustration, glaring at her hands as if she wanted to make them glow again.

"It's..... it's not gonna glow again." she gritted her teeth, groaning before giving up with a frustrated sigh.

"Fear," I muttered softly and stood up.

"It's fear, you need to feel fear to manifest as the Tribrid," I said and moved closer to her..

"That's bullshit. Does that mean I can only scare bad guys after they scare me?" Natasha asked rhetorically.

I heard my phone ring by the window where I placed it and I went to grab it.

It was Silas. Why was he calling me.

"For now yes, but we'll figure it out," I said and I walked out of the training room. I accepted the call and I walked into my room, closing the door.

"Good evening, Dante. How are you?" Silas greeted and I sat on the edge of my bed.

"I'm fine. Thanks for the info on Minerva," I replied.

"Yes, I heard she was found dead two days later. I hope the threats didn't continue."

"They didn't. Thanks. So......"

"Yes, I called you cause of an important information I stumbled upon," Silas said and I got curious immediately.

Important information?

"What is it?"

"It's about Kiara," Silas said and I stopped moving, gulping.

I hadn't thought about what happened to Kiara for over a month now and hearing her name again made me uneasy.

"Yes?" I managed to say.

"I got some info about the Vampires who attacked you and Kiara at the Gala and thossse who followed Bastien to your pack," Silas said and my eyes widened in surprise.

What? After things became calm and we caught Bastien, I tried to track down the men who were with Bastien.

I did everything I could because I couldn't find any of them. Every CCTV footage and evidence was cleared. I continued trying for over a month so I could make them pay but I found nothing.

What info does it have on them?

"W... what info?" I asked, standing up immediately.

"I have Intel that they all stay together, but I'm afraid there's nothing much we can do at this moment," Silas said and I frowned.

"Why?"

"I wasn't able to know their location all I could get was a wrist watch owned by one of them when it fell at a scene," Silas explained and I sighed in frustration.

How do I find them if don't have a location or even a picture. What am I going to do with a wristwatch?

As soon as I showed my hand, I immediately tossed the dagger at Natasha, watching as the dagger whizzed right through the air at her.

I sighed, throwing my hand in frustration, but I stopped moving as I had an idea.

"I can work on the wristwatch, I can," I said quickly.

"Oh, that's good. I'll have my men bring it to you tomorrow. I want you to avenge Kiara," Silas said.

"I will," I stated before he ended the call.

Natasha tracked down Rhazien one month ago using only a small drop of his blood. I'm not sure a wristwatch is as strong as blood for tracking, but it's worth a shot.

I sat down on the bed again and closed my eyes. I couldn't wait for it to be tomorrow so I can get that wristwatch..

I opened my eyes as I realized there was one problem. How am I going to get Natasha to track down the owner of the wristwatch.

The last time she tracked down Rhazien, she passed out. Tracking down the owner of the wristwatch would drain her energy so much so she would want to know what it is about..

How do I tell her I am planning a revenge mission on the men who had an hand in killing Kiara. That won't sit well with her.

Hell, it won't sit well with me.

I would just have to find a way to sell it to her.

I dropped my phone on my dressing table and I took off my shirt, staring at myself in the mirror.

Out of nowhere, I saw Kiara standing behind me in the mirror and she wrapped her hand around me gently.

She smiled and rested her jaw between my neck and shoulder.

"Are you admiring yourself?" She asked with a smile. Kiara? How am I seeing Kiara?

"Kiara-" I muttered and turned around, but Kiara wasn't there, it was Nathasha. Although, she wasn't holding on to me like I saw Kiara do.

She was the one who asked that question, I think.

She looked hurt and she was about to walk out of the room, but I grabbed her hand quickly to stop her.

She sighed and turned around to face me.

"What is it?" She asked and she shook my hand away.

"You came into my room, I should ask," I replied and bit my tongue. That wasn't what I wanted to say, damn it!

"I just came to talk, but I guess I wasn't the face you wanted to see," She replied with a bit of anger in her tone.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to-"

"Of course you didn't mean to let me know that I am a cheap replacement. It slipped out," she interrupted angrily.

"Natasha, I'm sorry," I said, not knowing what to say.

I immediately pulled her close and I kissed her, holding on to her face tightly.

She froze and began to mumble against my lips.

"D.... Dante.. Dante." I ignored her and continued kissing her until she suddenly pushed me by the chest, sending me crashing into my dressing table.

Shit! What was I thinking?

"I.... I'm sorry," I apologized, seeing the tears welling up in Natasha's eyes.

"I'm not Kiara, you asshole!" She yelled and stormed out of my room in anger.

I sighed loudly and hit the table with my fist.

What am I doing?! I need to get myself together? And it starts with making everyone involved in Kiara's death pay dearly for it.
