Dragon Blood Wood

Dante.

I looked up as I saw a man walk out with several guards accompanying him. He stopped walking and looked in the direction of our car. Immediately, we all bent down so he wouldn't see us.

We were in a dumpsite for cars so the presence of our car is not supposed to arouse suspicion.

He looked away and he walked away with his guards, climbing into his car and driving off.

Next, a lady who I guessed was Minerva stepped out of the tunnel with just two guards and she walked gracefully to her car.

She was a beautiful woman and this was the first time I would see her.

I watched as her drove off, and immediately, I drove in the opposite road. According to Lucas, there was a turn up ahead that'll give us a shortcut we can use to intercept her vehicle at the front.

I'm about to talk to a True Vampire with a grudge, better hope this is worth it.

I made a sudden drift to the left and pulled the gear, driving at full speed so we could intercept the vehicle that was up ahead.

The tires of the car screeched as I stepped on the car, bringing the car to a car in the middle of the road.

Minerva's car also came to a screeching halt to avoid colliding with my car and I sighed. That was............. exciting.

I looked at Minerva's car and the two guardsv who escorted her climbed down immediately.

"Wait in the car," I climbed down too and I leaned on the car.

"Sorry about that, but I really had to do that, I had no other option," I said with a sly smile, and crossed my legs.

"You're in the way, can you move your car aside?" One of the guards asked and I smiled.

"Yes, of course, right after I talk to your boss, Minerva De Martel," I said and they glanced at each other.

"We're going to need you to-" Before the guard could finish talking, the car opened and Minerva stepped out, adjusting her silky blonde hair as the wind blew it in her face.

The guards moved aside for her and she stood in front of me. She observed me closely, glanced at the car parked horizontally on the road, and looked at me again.

"Who are you?" She asked, raising her eyebrows.

What?? Was she fucking kidding with me right now?? She threatens me in the most ominous and deadly kind of way and then she pretends as if she doesn't know me.

I scoffed, "let's put the pretense aside and talk like mature adults, shall we??"

She rolled her eyes and pushed her hair back again,"I do not know who you are, and I certainly do not appreciate my time being wasted by your ridiculous charade," She said and I breathed, trying nny best to control my temper.

That was Nathan's job and the bastard bailed on me.

"Sure, you don't know the son of the man who daggered you and threw you to the into the sea," I said and immediately, her face froze.

She seemed shocked, then skeptical, then surprised, then amused..

"Hmn."

"If what you said is right, then you'd know that standing before me right now or even coming anywhere close to me is highly dangerous," she said, intertwining her fingers and I smiled lightly..

"Maybe, I'm braver than you think."

"Or incredibly stupid," she retorted.

"So, why did you come to me exactly?? Did you want to finish what yoir father started cause I can assure you that you'll be at the receiving end of all the brutality," she said in a threatening tone.

Apart from the indirect threats she does it she didn't seem like she was angry enough to orchestrate the threats of those compelled Vampires.

But of course, she could certainly be feigning ignorance and an unbothered feeling so I could lower my guards.

"I saw the work of your hands, or should I say your mind," I said and she raised her eyebrows inquiringly.

I wasn't going to waste my time explaining to her what she must have planned out carefully and deliberately.

"And I just came to tell you to stop and stop being so immature over a fight you had with my dad, who by the way, is DEAD," I added and she chuckled.

"Yeah, I heard."

"But-"

"Good, then I hope you would be mature enough to end whatever grudge you have with his death, and stop causing the people around me to worry," I said interrupting her and I turned around, facing my and opening the door.

"I didn't say you could leave yet." Minerva's smooth and classy voice suddenly became fierce and I froze in place.

I gulped and put on a confident smile before turning around to face her.

Her eyes had become dark and her face was paler.

"Now that you brought it all back up, I remember how much pain your father caused me and unfortunately, I feel the need to make someone pay for all of that," she said and my hands darted to her fangs that slowly extended.

"You can come out now," I said telepathically to the three of them in the car and they climbed down from the car..

Minerva looked at them and the corners of her lips raised into a smirk. My eyes turned a bright yellow color as I prepared myself to fight her.

Her eyes turned a light shade of red and she was about to attack me, but she froze in place , gasping.

I looked at her chest to see a pointed wooden edge sticking out of it, her guards were also hit and I watched as they all turned grey and fell dead to the ground..

Did she just.....

I looked up and saw Nathan standing by a motorcycle with Killian, holding a stake shooter in hand

"Did you...."

"If you were going to meet a True Vampire, I figured we were going to need some Dragon Blood wood."
