Barrier Spell

Viktor.

I looked around and I spotted a instructor in the Gym who I have met here before.

"Mr. Stone,-" he said as he saw me and he took an excuse from the person he was assisting before walking up to me.

"Sorry, but Mr. Cartel hasn't come here today," he said since he knew that I would be most likely here to see Landon.

"Oh," I pretended not to know.

"I really need to see him urgently. Do you know where he lives??" I asked and he nodded.

"Yes," he said, "I'll be right back." He walked away and I sighed, dialing Landon's number again.

It rang out again and I looked up as the instructor walked back, holding out a card to me. I collected the card from him and saw that it had an address.

"That is his address," he said and I nodded.

"Thank you." I smiled bleakly and I hurried out of the Gym. I walked back to my car and climbed in, starting the car. I dropped the card on the seat next to me and dialed Landon's number again.

It rang for a while and then the call was accepted.

"Hello, Landon," I quickly said, but I didn't get any response.

"Landon, is that you?" I asked and the voice of the person who responded caused my heart to skip.

Oh fuck!

"Papa?" I said softly, my heart beating rapidly.

"Yes, it's me son," he replied, "guess who I ran into today - it's that young man I met at your house the other day."

"Don't you dare lay a finger on him!" I bellowed angrily and I heard him chuckle..

"See? I knew that you care about him. I know when my boy has a special feeling towards someone," he said proudly and laughed.

"What do you want??" I asked.

"Good. Although, I don't really want much, other than seeing you without being chased away like an unwanted piece of shit," Papa replied, "so, if you want to see your precious little wolf, breathing and alive, or with his body parts intact, then you have to come save him yourself," Papa continued. I knew that it was a trap, but I couldn't just sit around and do nothing.

I have to save Landon or Papa will fulfill his threat.

"Where is he??" I asked.

"So there's this thing called GPS these days. I'll make it easy for you by keeping his location on, so come find him," Papa replied and before I could talk, he ended the call.

Shit!! I hit my fist on the dashboard of the car.

I shouldn't have let Landon go alone! We should have left together!

Papa obviously wanted me to come and save Landon so he could take the chance to do whatever mysterious plan he had up his sleeve.

But if I don't go into London and I can't afford to lose the one person I finally opened my heart to after so many years.

I picked up my phone again and I went to track Landon's number quickly. I started the car and I drove onto the road at full speed.

I finally tracked down his location and I drove there quickly.

I slowed down the car as I saw that I was near the red spot where Landon was supposed to be present.

I looked up at all the buildings around and I spotted and old abandoned factory. The other buildings around here houses and more so that had to be where they were.

I slowly pulled up in front of the warehouse and I quickly climbed down from the car.

I walked to the gate and loosened the chains used to hold the gate together. I opened the gate but as I tried to step into the perimeter, an invisible force push me back. I looked at the air and I stretched out my hands forward slowly, only for it to be pushed back by an invisible barrier again.

There was a barrier spell here. So Papa now had Mages working for him.

Hmm.

I looked into the compound but nobody was there to answer me. Why put up a barrier spell if he wanted me to come here? I honed my Vampire hearing to listen for any sound of life inside the factory, but I couldn't hear anything.

I sighed and I placed my hand on the barrier in the air siphoning the magic away from the barrier spell.

The power of the spell lessened every second as I siphoned the magic out of it until the barrier finally broke.

I was sure that I was being watched right now. Papa most likely did that to test if I still had my siphoning abilities.

I walked into the compound, my eyes darted around every second so look out for any sort of trap or attack, but I couldn't hear a single sound or spot any movement at all.

I could feel the magic vibrating in the air so a spell was active right now. It has been long since I could sense magic.

After siphoning Landon at Duchester Hall, for a while I could slightly sense the magic everywhere I went to, but now it was stronger.

It felt like I had reactivated the abilities that I stopped using a long time ago.

I continued working and I clench my fist as I say for the magic in the air away..

I slowly began to hear the sounds that wete hidden before so I guess the Mage working for Papa at cast in silencing spell.

I heard the rolling up of chains, a silent grant and some whispers comments on inside the factory and I zoomed closer to it.

As I got to the entrance door I saw that there was another barrier spell there and I quickly siphoned it faster this time.

I pushed the doors open and I frozen as I saw who and what was up ahead.

I'm going to be killing a lot of people here today.
