I entered the room whistling. Ethan stared at me and I smiled. "Are you ok?" He asked

"Of course I am" I replied, sitting on the bed

He furrowed his brows in discontentment. "You don't look ok. You..."

"I looked too happy to be ok, right?" I asked lying on the bed. I stared at the ceiling and smiled. I feel so happy telling Bella what had transpired between me and my mom. It was like a heavy burden being lifted.

He nodded in agreement. "Yeah. Did something happen?. I mean in your visit with Miss Bella?. You look..."

I smiled and sat up. "You won't believe she is the daughter of Anderson's Enterprise"

Ethan batted his lashes in surprise. "Are you been serious?"

I nodded. "I was so shocked too when she told me"

"I suspected she must be from a rich family but I never thought her dad could be the CEO of Anderson's enterprise"

I batted my lashes. "You suspected she was a rich family and you never said anything to me?"

He chuckled. "I don't want you to have a change of mind. I knew from the beginning you were in love with her but you won't accept it"

I frowned. "I wasn't in love with her until just recent"

"Well, that isn't what I saw"

I rolled my eyes. "Whatever" I replied and made to lay down.

He chuckled. "Does that make her, Mrs. Mara's daughter?"

I sat down and nodded. "You remembered her?"

"Of course. Who wouldn't remember Mrs. Mara"

I chuckled. "Except someone who hasn't come in contact with her"

He nodded. "Wow, I still can't believe Miss. Bella is her daughter. She doesn't look any way like her mother"

I laughed. Bella does not look can her mother. I was shocked too when she told me. Bella was the calmer version of her mother. I stared at Ethan. "Do you remember when she was to sign a contract with your dad?" I asked, recalling the incident. Ethan's dad is a contractor and works in collaboration with Anderson's Enterprise. That is how we get to know her mom.

He nodded, smiling. "Of course. Can I ever forget that?. It was during one of our visits to the company"

I nodded. "She had thought your dad would be the one to attend to her but was shocked to see us"

"The look on her face was terrifying I thought she would explode soon"

I laughed and stood up to act up the way she reacted that day. "Oh my God. Am I here for you?. Are you the ones to attend to me?. Oh no...". Ethan busted into a series of laughter and I had to stop talking. I joined him in laughing. I laughed so hard my stomach hurts. I sat down, trying to catch my breath. "I wonder how she tends to cope with her mother"

Ethan furrowed his brows. "Does she know you know her mom?"

I nodded. "But I did not tell her how I got to know her"

He chuckled. "I bet if she knows, she..."

My phone rang and I checked the call. It was Bella. I had to place my hand on my lips to stop him from saying any more words. "Shhhh. She's the one calling". He furrowed his brows and I realized he didn't get me. It's Bella calling"

He muttered an 'oh' and finally nodded. "Ok," he whispered. He made a face and I laughed. He frowned. "Just pick your call already"

I chuckled and finally pick the call. "Hi bae"

"Are you home yet?" She asked

"Yeah. Hope you're good?"

"Yes, I am. Hope you're good too?"

I smiled. "Hearing your voice makes me good". I heard Ethan scoff and I glared at him. He shouldn't let Bella hear him scoff. He rolled his eyes and I groaned.

"Are you there?" Bella asked, jolting me back to reality. I batted my lashes. "Yeah"

She sighed. "It's good to hear that. Where is Ethan?"

"He's close by. Do you want to speak with him?"

"No. Just send my regard to him"

I shrugged. "Ok. Make sure to take care of yourself"

"I will. See you in school tomorrow"

"I love you," I said and Ethan stared at me with shock written all over his face. I groaned. He shouldn't try to pry into my private affairs, ok?. He made to say something but I glared at him and he kept shut.

"I love you too" Bella replied. I smiled. It's good to hear her say those words to me. "Bye sweetie".

The call ended and Ethan frowned. "Are you guys dating?"

I rolled my eyes. "We aren't..."

He frowned and I furrowed my brows. "Don't even give me that face. You just told her, you love her and I am sure she said the same thing to you. How can you explain that?"

I rolled my eyes and groaned in the process. "Telling her I love her doesn't mean we are already dating. She's yet to say yes to my request"

Ethan chuckled. "You finally asked her out?"

I nodded. "I did. But she wanted us to take it slow"

Ethan fanned himself with his hand. "Oh mine, my eyes are teary already. I'm so happy for you. My friend has finally found true love. I guess rich girls don't all suck. What happened to the rich girls are rude, sassy, stubborn, and spoilt phrases?"

I rolled my eyes. "I ain't making a change on that. Bella is just different. Rich girls are mostly spoilt and sassy and stubborn and..."

"Whatever. I'm so happy you are finally giving love a chance and you decided to start a family with Miss Bella"

I furrowed my brows. I can't remember saying anything about starting a family with Bella. She hasn't accepted my request. How will I think of starting a family with someone who is yet to date me?. I frowned. Ethan is the male version of Dia. Those two fit so perfectly. They tend to jump to conclusions on their own. "Don't you think you and Dia will make the perfect couple?" I asked changing the topic.

He stared at me and then furrowed his brows. "You said what," he asked and I realized he didn't get my words the first time. I chuckled happily. I won't have to argue with him on that.

I smiled. "Never mind. I think I will just catch some sleep". I lay on the bed, eyes closed.

"You won't take your bath?" He asked

I opened my eyes and groaned. Does he not get tired of talking and asking questions?. I rolled my eye and turned to face him. "I don't want to"

He stood up and walked closer to me. He bent and I rolled away from him. "Hey, what are you doing"

He sniffed. "You smell so much like Miss Bella. Did you guys...". He blinked his eyes and I frowned.

What the heck is he thinking?. That we... Oh, mine. "Pervert. Why will you think such a thing? Huh?"

He stood up straight and folded his arms. "Well, what do you expect?. Her scent is all over you?"

"That's because.." I wanted to say cuddle but I realized saying that will only make Ethan right and he wouldn't stop talking about it. He will tease me for a long time until I get pissed off.

"What were you planning to say?" He asked

"We sat close to each other"

He chuckled. "You guys make out?"

I frowned. "You are so annoying "

"You made me one. Don't you think you shouldn't have smelled so much like her perfume and I won't have to think that way"

I frowned. "How do you know the scent of her perfume?"

"She's my lecturer, remember?"

I scoffed. "Whatever". I stood up and made for the bathroom.

"Where do you think you're going?"

"To toast some bread"

"In the bathroom?"

I turned. "Where do you expect I go to?"

He frowned. "You're so sarcastic. Don't consider me your friend anymore"

I chuckled. "Whatever. It's a good thing I will have peace of mind for some days"

"You said what?"

"Nevermind. I will go take my bath". I closed the door behind me before he could say a word. I smiled. Though Ethan can be so annoying, It's still a good thing to have him as a friend.
