Bella held me closer to her, kissing me passionately and I wondered why. She must have wanted the kiss for so long, I thought. Or maybe she's trying to flow with me just to make him jealous. I was curious to know who he was and why he was here in the first place. I moved away from Bella, and I could hear her groan or so I thought. Dia chuckled. "I told you she deals with someone cuter than you will ever be, Jake"

I blinked. So his name is Jake? I thought. But why is he here?.

Jake groaned. "Bella, you chose me over him?"

Bella scoffed. "You chose her over me, first. Don't try to play the victim her"

"I wasn't in my right senses back then. You know how much I love you, Bella" Jake said

Dia scoffed. "Love?. You say, love?. Do you even know what they call love?"

Jake glared. "Dia, this is none of your business, ok?"

"It's every of my business. Bella is my friend and I won't let you jilt her for the second time"

I furrowed my brows. Jilt?. He must be her ex. But what made him leave her in the first place and why is he back now?. "I did not jilt her, ok?. I was only testing her love for me". He brushed his hair backward. "Can't believe she failed"

I frowned. Trying to test her love?. Only someone with a trust issue will doubt Bella. She's the best woman I have ever known. "Wow!. Someone finally acknowledged Bella" my subconscious mind said and I sighed.

Dia scoffed. "You say test?"

"You heard me" Jake replied. As I watched Dia and Jake get involved in a heated argument with each other, I wondered why Bella wasn't saying anything. All she did was tap her foot on the floor. I could tell from the expression on her face that she wasn't happy. Today was supposed to be a happy day for her and not the other way round. Why will they argue about this now?. I can't believe they are doing this. They should make her happy and not... "You spoiled her day first" my subconscious mind replied and I sighed. I couldn't argue less. I was the reason she ended the party. I was the reason she had to come back home. If she did not come back home, this won't be happening.

Maybe I should have listened to Ethan and returned home. I won't have witnessed this scenario. I brushed my hair. I can't keep watching these two argue. I can't let them ruin Bella's day completely. I moved closer to her. "Bella?" I whispered

She raised her head and I could bet I saw a line of dried tears. She looked away immediately and I felt heartbroken. I have failed her twice. At first, I told her I don't love her, and the second time she finds out from Mira that I do love her and couldn't tell her. I... "That's enough!!!" Bella yelled jolting me out of my thought. Jake and Dia stared at her. She sighed. "I can't believe you both are having this conversation. Haven't you spoiled my day enough? huh?. Haven't you?!!!" She yelled. Hearing her say those words made me feel bad. She brushed her hair. "There is no point having this conversation with you. You know what, I'm leaving"

She walked out on us, leaving us stranded and surprised. I stared at Dia who seems sober. Jake looked confused as hell while the other guy, I couldn't get his expression. Dia gestured with her head and I knew immediately she wanted me to go after her. I could feel she was telling me this is an opportunity for me to get Bella to trust me again. I ran after her and I was In luck. She was about to enter her car when I got there. Thank goodness it was getting dark already. I moved closer to her and held her hand before she could enter the car. She tried to pull her hand away from mine but I held it firmly. "Get your hands off me, Jay"

"Bella, I know you're so mad at me right now..."

"I am mad at everybody"

I sighed. "Yeah, you are mad at everybody. But I was the reason you ended that party. I was the reason your birthday turned out to be a mess. I..."

"You didn't..."

"You don't have to pretend I didn't do anything. I caused everything"

"It's nothing. The deed has been done already"

"Let me make up for what I have done"

"There's no point. The day is ended already. It..."

I checked my wristwatch for time. "it's past 7 pm. I can still set up something. I can..."

"Stop trying, Jay. You don't understand. You..." She sighed. "You should go home, Jay. There is school tomorrow"

She pulled her hand off mine but I held it back. "I can't leave. Knowing I ruined your day. I will never forgive myself if I don't make it up to you. I won't be able to sleep knowing you ain't happy. I..."

"Jay..."

"Please. Just let me pay for what I have done"

She sighed. "Ok. Just make it fast"

I smiled. "Thank you so much Bell"

She rolled her eyes. "It's Bella, please"

"I think I love the name Bell"

"Aren't we there yet?" She asked for the umpteenth time.

"Not yet" I replied

She sighed and rested her back on the car seat, eyes focused on the road. I smiled. I love the curiosity on her face. I had thought of the perfect place to take her too, to make up for what I had done. I couldn't think of a better place than the beach. I know how much Bella loves the sea, which was one of the reasons she came down to the island. Dia told me, Bella usually visited the beach back in New York and whenever she gets angry or frustrated, she had run to the beach. I remembered Lucy told me she slept on the beach by the beach when I told her she shouldn't love me. I knew that beach is a place that will help ease her pain. But taking her to the waterfall won't only ease her pain, her stress, it will also put some smile on her face.

We drove past the beach and I could see her eyes brighten up a bit. She adjusted herself and stared out of the window. She groaned when we drove past the beach. I smiled. "Got a better place to take you too. And I know you will be so happy to see it" I thought.

I stopped the car and she stared at me. "Why did you stop?" She asked

I picked up a black veil. "Take this"

"For what?" She asked

"Cover your face"

She furrowed her brows. "Why do you want me to do that?"

"Trust me". She stared at me. "Common"

She collected the veil and placed it on her face. I started the car. "Are we moving"

"Yeah. Chill ok?"

She nodded. "Ok. I am trusting you on this"

I brought the car to a stop. "Did we just stop?" She asked

"Yeah" I answered and then stepped down. I moved to the other side to open the door for her and then helped her step out of the car.

"Are we there yet?"

"No. We have to walk for a while"

We walked for a while and then I stopped. "We are finally there" I announced

"Can I take this off"

"No. Just wait"

"Is that a sound of falling water?". I rolled my eyes. She's smart. How did she know that?. "Can I take this off please?"

I smiled. "I will take it off for you"

I could feel the excitement in her voice. I took off the veil from her face and her eyes widened in shock. "Wow. I-is this a waterfall?"

I nodded. "Yeah. You love it?"

"I-it's beautiful. I love it"

"I know you would..."

She pulled me into a hug. "Thank you so much, Jay. You made my day"

I held her close and smiled. It's good to see her happy again!!.
