Chapter 20: Chapter 20
BELLA
Jayden batted his lashes. "I-i"
I rolled my eyes. "Jayden, start talking"
He sighed. "Our last topic was..."
I raised my hand. "You know what?. Never mind". He stared at me and I smiled. "Sit"
He sat down but could not stop staring at me. I decided to ignore him and carry on with the new topic. Jayden wouldn't stop staring at me feeling not too comfortable. I had to end the class quick enough and gave a flimsy excuse. "See you next week," I said and some groaned. I turned to leave but stopped. "Before I forget, we are going to go for an excursion. I have talked to the management and they are still considering it. If it clicks, then we go". The students were happy to hear the news. Jayden couldn't hide his excitement either. I waved my hand. "Bye class," I said and walked out of the class.
As I walked through the hallway, I could hear footsteps behind me. I turned and it was Jayden. I mentally rolled my eyes. "Why are you following me?"
He chuckled. "I wanted to see you. Can we go to your office?". I furrowed my brows. "I just want to see you?. It's nothing"
I sighed. "Ok. But next time don't follow me like a hired assassin"
He scoffed. "Hired assassin?"
I rolled my eyes and began to go. When I noticed he wasn't following me, I stopped and turned. "Are you not coming?"
He sighed. "I am"

We got to my office. "Wait outside" I gestured with my hand.
He furrowed my brows. "Why..."
"Don't ask why" I answered and entered. I dropped my book on the table and began to arrange the books on my table. When I was sure everything was set, I sat down and asked him to come in. He entered, frowning his face. "You don't have to keep me outside that way"
I rolled my eyes. "You don't expect me to let you come in". He scoffed and sat down. "Why do you want to see me?"
He sighed. "Just want to apologize"
I furrowed my brows. "For what?"
"The call?"
I rolled my eyes. "I told you it's nothing"
"Well, I said that to Ethan but he asked me to come and beg you, again"
"Like I said earlier. It's nothing. You can leave"
He frowned. "Are you driving me out of your office?"
I groaned. "Do you have any other thing to say?"
He scoffed. "No. Not like you will listen though"
I rolled my eyes. "If you have anything you want to say. Just say it now"
He chuckled. "I knew you will listen to me". I rolled my eyes. "Well, to be sure that you've forgiven me. Will you go on a date with me?". I batted my lashes. "A-are you being serious right now?". I frowned and he chuckled.
"It's just a date"
I frowned. "Just a date?. You call it just a date?"
He nodded. "That's what it is" he answered.
I picked a book up and threw it at him. "Pervert" I cursed
He laughed. "Come on. Or you don't want to go out on a date with your student?". I rolled my eyes. He doesn't understand. He doesn't even know how I feel about him. Does he know how my heart does its usual foolish happy dance anytime I see him?. Does he know how much I had to control myself anytime I am around him? And now he calls a date I have always dreamt of, just a date?. I frowned. I still wonder how I fell for him. I do ask myself how I could be so idiotic to suffer from a ridiculous case of unrequited love. I smiled. And despite he called it just a date, I still like the fact that he considered me good enough to go on date with him. Fingers flicked through my face, jolting me out of my thought. I batted my lashes. "Hey!!"
I rolled my eyes. "What?"
"You're blushing"
"I am not"
"You are. Your cheeks are red". I stood up and checked my face in the mirror. My face was red like he said. I returned to my seat and grinned back with all maturity of a smitten puppy. "Do you now accept that you're blushing?"
I rolled my eyes. There was no way I am going to accept that. I picked a book up. "I have work to do, Jayden. You should leave"
He frowned. "You want me to leave?". I nodded. He sighed. "And the date?"
I rolled my eyes. "This is a school. And you are my student. I..."
He sighed. "I know. Maybe I should have called it a date. Just an eat-out to show you've forgiven me. But if you still do not want to go with me, I understand". He stood up. "I will leave"
He walked to the door and I sighed. "Wait". He turned. "I will go on the date with you. I mean the eat-out. To show that I have forgiven you"
He sighed. "Ok". He opened the door and walked out. I sighed. Hope I am not making the wrong decision?.

"What do you think?" I asked Lucy
"I think you're perfect" Lucy answered
I rolled my eyes. "Don't you think it's too casual?" I asked. I was dressed in a black strapless gown that stopped right below my knees.
She walked up to me and held my hand. "It's nice. I am sure Jayden will be all over you". I sighed. "So are you telling him?"
I furrowed my brows. "Tell him what?"
"How you feel about him"
I batted my lashes. "No?"
"Why?. How long do you want to keep hiding it?"
I rolled my eyes. "Lucy, I can't. He's my student"
She smiled. "You didn't fall in love with him knowing he is your student. You fell for him right before you found out you were going to take his class. And by the way, love doesn't know class, it doesn't want to know if he's your student or not. You can't keep hurting yourself"
"Lucy. I..."
"You can, Bella"
"I sighed. What if he doesn't love me?"
"I know he does. But if he doesn't. It will help you move on"
"Lu..."
She placed her finger on my lips. "Shh. Trust me. You won't regret it"
I sighed. "I will give it a shot"
She smiled. "That's the spirit girl. Now go. You won't want to keep Mr. Rude waiting"
I chuckled. "I think you should stop calling him that"
She laughed. "It fits him so perfectly"
I nodded and smile. "It sure does"
