Chapter 14: Chapter 14

I shift in my sleep a little. Sunlight makes me squint my eyes when I open them. I frown when I look around and see that I wasn't in my room. I am still in the library garden. I look around and see I was by myself. I look down at my lap and see the someone dropped a thick blanket over my body. I bent down and sniffed it. Noah.

I frown, he came back? I wonder why he came back? I got up from the couch, and stretched. I actually had a really good sleep. This couch is amazing. This whole room is amazing. It has a sort of calming effect on me and my wolf. I stand up and notice the piano was still open. I walk over and ran my fingers over the keys. I'm glad I started to play again. I remember either playing the piano, painting or learning about the healing techniques my grandmother was teaching me. After I closed it, something caught my eye that was inside of the grand piano. I reach my hand inside and grab it. It was a picture. A picture of a woman. A beautiful woman, with fiery red hair. She looked really formal because she had makeup on.

(A/N: Her picture is at the very top)

I wonder who she is. I looked at the back of it and saw a name. "Eleanor." I whispered to myself. Pretty name. Strangely enough, I didn't put it back. For some reason, I felt that I needed to hang on to the photo. So I tuck it into my pocket and leave. I went to my room to get a fresh set of clothes. Once I was all set, I went downstairs to get some breakfast. Everyone was already eating and drinking coffee.

"Morning everyone," I greeted.

They all mumbled their own good mornings. I head towards the kitchen to make myself a coffee since I still felt asleep. As I was putting the coffee grind in the plunger, Noah walks in looking all fresh and attractive. No! Stop it! Bad girl! I look away and concentrated at the task at hand. I could tell that Noah came into the kitchen because my whole body tingled. I glanced over my shoulder a little bit and saw him making some eggs and bacon for himself. His back was to me. I could tell he was tense. He was very stiff and ridged while cooking. I was too dazed when he turned around that I didn't even think to turn away.

Our eyes met. We both froze. His face still holding no emotions, and yet it was overflowing with it. I couldn't understand it. I felt my heart beat a little faster. "Can you please pass the spatula?" His eyes pointing to the cooking tool behind me. I smirked to myself, of course. I grabbed it and passed it around angrily. I was silly for thinking he wanted to talk about last night. You know what, forget the coffee. I'm going to go on a morning run.

As I turned around, an arm stopped me from leaving. Noah leaned against the bench, blocking my pathway. I stared at him and growled quiet enough for only him to hear. He just smirked without humor, "Move," I said. But he did nothing. He remained still. He looked up and sighed slightly. Then he looks back down at me, "Look Mia," I couldn't help, but like the way he said my name, "About last night-"

"Last night never happened," I growled, "Look I know that you hate me. You don't like me being in your pack, I get it okay? You've made that blatant enough for everyone to notice. But that doesn't give you the right to treat me like I am nothing. I am not nothing! I am not asking you to do the impossible and like me, but I am asking you to be at least civil and not a temperamental wolf!" I took a deep breath.

It was silent for a moment, then for the first time ever, Noah chuckled, "I was going to say that I am sorry for how I treated you last night. It wasn't my intention to hurt you, I just lost control of myself...and I apologise."

I felt my figurative balloon deflate into a saggy sack, "Oh." I said, I didn't know what to do. I just gave him a huge rant and he was going to actually apologise this whole time, "Well...I forgive you." I cleared my throat and awkwardly continued making my coffee. I just stood there. Noah did the same and went back to cooking his breakfast. Once the coffee is made, I realized that I made too much. I grunt in frustration. I look over my shoulder.

"ummm...Noah?" He turns around, "Do you want some of my coffee? I made too much." He looked at me for a bit. I feel like this was a test, a test to see if we really can be civil or not. His hard eyes, looked into mine and slightly...just slightly...softened...the tiniest bit. "Yes, thank you." I turn around and couldn't help, but smile. I went to the cupboard to get a mug, but the all of the mugs that I could reach were already gone. I looked up and see the rest on the high shelf. I look around at everyone and they're all doing their own thing. I subtly try to jump up and reach it, but I was too small. Suddenly, an electric warmth spread on my back, I glance over my shoulder to see Noah's broad chest against my back as he reaches up the shelf for me to get a cup. He hands it too me then goes back to his cooking.

"Thank you," I mumbled. I poured the coffee inside and handed it to him, "here you go." As he grabs it our hands touch slightly, making my breath hitch. I quickly turn around and continue to drink my coffee. "Hey, I've got some extra bacon, if you want some?" I gave him a small smile and nodded, "That'd be nice." He put his coffee down to scrape out the bacon unto a plate.

Right then, enters Solomon. He's in sweat pants and no top. I see his eyes brighten when they see me, "Hey Mia, how're you?"

I shrug, "I'm good."

He nods his head, "Good. You sleep well?"

"Yeah I did actually. One of the best I ever had. I had this calming aroma all around me and it helped me sleep," I said. I glanced at Noah and saw him still.

"What kind of aroma?" Solomon asked.

I closed my eyes and tried to remember. It felt so good sleeping in Noah's scent, "It was musky and woodsy with the slightest hint of a spice of some kind. I could sleep in that aroma at any time and it would instantly relax me...it...it made me feel so...safe." I whispered. I open my eyes only to see Solomon looking at me and chuckle. Noah on the other hand had stopped getting the bacon and had turned around, staring at me with intense eyes. I stared right back. A part of me wanted him to know how he effects me. But, then another part of me is saying 'what are you thinking?'

"So, are we still good for that date tonight?" Solomon asked.

I totally forgot about that! "Yes! yes of course. So what time?"

"7 okay with you?"

"7 is great."

He steps closer and says, "great." He leaned down, about to kiss me on the cheek, when a plate pops out of no where in between us, "Here's you're bacon Mia." I turned and could see Noah looking a little dangerous. Solomon looked at Noah annoyed. He turned around about to leave. As he left he grabbed a cup of coffee, "Hey!" Noah shouted. Solomon turns around and stares hard at Noah, "What?"

"That's my coffee, get your bloody own?"

Soul frowns, "It's just a cup of coffee Noah, get another one."

"I want that one." He growls

"Well, it's too-"

Noah yanks the cup out of his hand and storms off. The house shook from the door slam. Solomon growled and stormed off as well. I looked at everyone, they all were staring at me with wide eyes. Izzy and Zapora were the only ones smiling. I cleared my throat, "So, Luna, shall do our daily check up?
