In the coming days, Adrian left for his business trip to Las Vegas while Lily was preparing for the big announcement in a few days.

She looked at a few reports and a smile appeared on her face. Her company was finally among top three interior design companies in the world and she felt proud.

She was putting away her files when her mobile started ringing. She saw it was Adrian and picked it up. "Happy Birthday, little panda", he wished with a bright smile on his face.

Lily looked at him and smiled. "You remembered." She felt warm when he called her personally to wish her despite his busy schedule.

"Of course, I wanted to see the cute little panda of mine", he said making her smile. "Go to the closet and open the drawer of my watch collection", Adrian said and she stood up and took the mobile as she walked to the closet.

She found a red velvet box in the drawer. "Now open it and tell me if you like it", he said as he waited for her reaction.

Lily's eyes widened when she saw the bracelet inside the box. It was a white diamond bracelet. Each diamond were cut in the shape of rose with a shade of red hue in them and the lock had a diamond cut in the shape of the initial letter of her name.

"I love it", Lily said with a big smile on her face.

As the two of them talked, someone knocked on the door. "Who could it be?", she wondered. "Go check", Adrian said to which she nodded and put the mobile on the bed.

She went to open the door and found the entire Collins family along with her grandfather standing outside with balloons as they wished her happy birthday.

"Grandfather, you're here too?", Lily was stunned and she ran to her grandfather to hug him. She looked at everyone and felt warm.

"Wait, Adrian is on call", she said and ran to get her mobile. "Son, you are not here on you wife's birthday. What kind of husband are you?", Jennifer chided to her son.

"It's ok, mom. He has work too", Lily said as she gave a small smile. "You're lucky to get such an understanding wife", Andrew said as he looked at his son. Adrian didn't seem to mind any of their words, his face was blank.

Lily went downstairs and cut the cake then fed everyone.

"Sister in law, I've gift for you", Ryan said as he ran upstairs to get his gift while others too brought their gifts.

Lily was overwhelmed when she saw how much everyone in the family loved her.

She missed her real parents suddenly. Her mom would always be so excited and wish her in the morning when she would leave for work. At night they would arrange a small party.

Lily's eyes got red as tears streamed down her eyes. Everyone got worried and tried to calm her.

"What happened?", Adrian asked to Aiden who was talking to him when he heard everyone were asking Lily to calm down. "I don't know. Sister in law started crying suddenly. Let me go..", Aiden was cut off in middle when Adrian hung up.

"Nothing, I'm ok. I was just overwhelmed. You all are so good to me", Lily said as she started laughing between her sobs. Everyone laughed looking at her. They found her too cute.

Once the little celebration was over, everyone went to their room while Sheng Zhou left.

Since Adrian hung up, Lily thought he was busy with work so she didn't call him and went to sleep.

In the morning, Lily woke up when she heard something fall in the closet. She sat up and frowned but the frowned disappear when she saw Adrian come out the closet buttoning up his shirt.

"Adrian? When did you return?", she asked as she walked up to him and hugged him tightly taking him by surprise. He didn't expect his wife to hug me the minute she sees him since of course she had no feelings for him.

"Why did you cry?", he questioned. "I was missing my parents", she answered as she hid her face in his chest.

Did that mean he returned just because she cried?

Lily smiled to herself when she thought since he was supposed to be coming after four days.

"Did you miss me, my love?", he asked he hugged her back. She nodded and looked up at him with a smile. "I missed you more", he said and pecked on her forehead.

To his surprise, the little wife of his seemed to have missed him too much for she tiptoed and kissed his lips. Her soft lips sucked his lower lip slowly. Adrian grabbed her waist pulling her closer and took the lead to kiss her.

It was their second time kissing and he was happy that it was her who took the initiative.

Lily smiled and pecked his chest then ran away to the bathroom. Adrian chuckled as he stared at the bathroom door.

It wasn't like Sam didn't treat her well during special occasions but thinking of all that now, Lily thought he was pretentious and that he never loved her but she wasn't sure of why he did all that.

She needed to know why he ruined her life and who killed her.

After taking shower, she came out wearing bathrobe. She walked to the drawer where her lingerie were kept and put on her panty. She was so lost in her thoughts that she didn't notice Adrian in the closet and took off her bathrobe.

His tone was firm and that made Lily more sure that he was not something who would lie to her. She trusted him although she herself didn't know it.

"Get ready", he said patting her cheek before he walked out of the walk in closet.

Lily blinked before she thought to herself if this man had a good self control or that she was not attractive enough. She looked herself in the mirror and thought she didn't have a bad figure.
