The next morning, Adrian woke up early and came to Sheng Mansion to return Lily's mobile and took his.

"Someone named Travis called. I wasn't supposed to pick up but I didn't know it wasn't my mobile", Lily explained though it was more unlike her who never explained herself but she felt like explaining.

"It's alright", he replied nonchalantly.

"Adrian, come sit with us for breakfast", Grandfather Sheng said as he was walking towards the dining room. "Thank you, grandfather Sheng but I just had my breakfast before coming here", Adrian said calmly.

"It's no problem. You can just have something light. Don't say no", grandfather said leaving no space for denial. Adrian nodded and joined them for breakfast.

After the breakfast, everyone left for their work.

A week later...

Lily was sitting in her study room working on some designs when her mobile started ringing. She picked her mobile and saw the caller ID and a frown appeared on her face.

She picked up the call immediately without more delay and heard voice of a middle aged man. "Lily, my child..."

"Come to the point, old Rio", Lily said as she massaged her forehead knowing well what the man would say next. Rio cleared his throat and asked in a calm tone, "When are joining CIA?"

"Soon", Lily answered before hanging up.

During Lily's recuperating period, after a year, she started engaging herself in a few activities from home which she was interested in as her doctor told her to do so. At that time, she started learning more about hacking professionally.

She always had a thing for hacking which was why in her past life, she learnt a lot about hacking and coding given that she had an unusual photographic memory, it was easy for her to learn things.

During her recovery period, she started practicing more and more which resulted in hacking a lot of things around her and provided her entertainment. After a year when her treatment officially ended, she suddenly received a call from the head office of CIA.

She was stunned when they asked her to join the agency but she denied saying she was mentally ill although she was aware that they have their eyes on her but she also knew that it was impossible for them to have their eyes in this mansion since her grandfather was once a general in army and knows how to keep his privacy.

The main reason why Lily didn't want to join CIA was because she still had to look after a few things and the intelligence agency was never her goal to begin with yet thinking about all those medals she ever wished for tempted her to call Rio and agree.

Lily sighed deeply as she stared at her mobile. She had helped CIA quite a few times in the past but she didn't plan on joining them officially. She already had a lot of enemies and having more would only give her some headache not that she minded.

She picked up her mobile and called Kylie informing about a few things.

After Lily was done with her work, she suddenly remembered how Sanna and her reactions during the party last week. She found it quite suspicious so she decided to look into the matter but a knock interrupted her.

She looked up and saw her grandfather which made her lips curl up in a small smile. "Grandfather, why did you bother coming? You should have just called me."

"It's not a bother", he said as he came to sit on the chair in front of Lily.

"Did you have anything important to talk about?", Lily asked since she knew it wouldn't be any lousy matter that made her grandfather had to come all the way to her study room.

Elder Sheng nodded.

"Do you still love that Andres kid?", he asked in a serious tone. Lily was taken aback by his sudden confrontation.

Lily confronted her grandfather the next evening of the party about her matter and it seemed that the old man wasn't bothered that she wasn't her granddaughter. He said to her that even if her soul was different but the body and name she had was the one that belongs to his family which makes her his granddaughter anyways.

Lily felt touched upon hearing his words and it made her respect the old man more and she grew much closer to him.

"I do love him, grandfather. If not like how I used to during the time I was hypnotized, I still do love him", Lily said with honesty. It was quite rare for her to lie.

The old man nodded without saying a word.

It was silent in the room for a minute before he spoke, "I want you to train yourself and get more stronger. I don't want you get harm anymore."

Lily nodded as she trusted his arrangements.

After speaking to Lily for a while, the old man stood up to leave but Lily stopped him.

"Grandfather, I've something to tell you."

"Hmm?"

"I own JenLi."

There was silence for a while before the old man chuckled. Lily thought he didn't believe her but his next sentence stunned him.

"Jen from Jennifer and Li from Lily. I knew it was yours and my doubt was confirmed two days back when you were talking on call about it to your assistant", he said calmly and patted her head.

Lily laughed at her carelessness.

What if someone else heard her!?

"When will you announce it?", he asked since he couldn't wait to show off his granddaughter to the world and tell them how proud he was of her.

"On my 21th birthday in January", Lily said with a smile. Slowly she continued why she wanted to announce it next year on her birthday. "My company is already in top ten interior design firm in the world. By the time it's my birthday, it will be among top three. I want it to be number one till it's your birthday."

The old man felt more proud of the little girl that although he didn't raise but she took her rebirth in his family and was now making him proud.

He felt that it was good that his real Xiao Li was dead since she couldn't take on the pain anymore. It was already too much on her and she was weak mentally as well as physically.

Though it made him sad but he felt that this Lily would be able to face slap each member of the family one by one when the time comes and would avenge his granddaughter as well as herself unlike his weak Xiao Li.

Old master Sheng patted on Lily's head before he headed out of the study room leaving her to think about certain things.

All of a sudden she kept her hand on her left side of chest and closed her eyes. She started thinking about every memory she had with Samuel but her heart didn't seem to respond much instead it only made her think of the hypnosis that happened to her.

Her brows furrowed together and she opened her eyes not wanting to think of all those things.

She went to her room and freshened up then walked out in the balcony. She felt the cold breeze hit her skin. Since it was already mid November, she felt cold and quickly went inside.

She took her mobile and thought of some people that were dear to her heart. She really wanted to see them but it wasn't time yet and they wouldn't recognise her.

She felt a pain her heart thinking of the people that she loved so much in her past life. Everyone that cared about her.

She let out a deep sigh and laid on the bed quietly staring at the big crystal chandelier that was dimly lighted. She picked a remote and turned on the purple lights option of the chandelier then changed it to green, blue, pink then finally she turned on the bright option that turned the entire room bright but she didn't seem to like it and turned off the chandelier.

She then took another remote and turned off all the lights in her room leaving the RPG lights and change the color to red. The entire room was dimly lighted giving off mysterious aura with the dim red lights.

Lily seemed satisfied and put aside the remote then took her iPad to read a few articles before she fell asleep.
