Everyone went to have dinner but Lily still felt something was off with Angel. Angel was unusually quiet suddenly. She decided to talk to Angel after dinner.

So after they were done, Lily told Angel to come out for a walk while Rashelle was busy with Ryan and Sanna.

"What's wrong, sis? Is anything a problem?", Lily asked as they walked in the garden. Angel looked at Lily and took her to sit on the bench nearby. "Sissy, I've something to tell you but I don't want you to be sad", Angel said looking at Lily.

"Why would I be sad? Tell me what's wrong", Lily said ready for the worst to come.

"You know when you took your life. I...", Angel stopped when she heard Sam call Lily. Lily turned and replied, "Go inside. We are coming in a while."

Lily then turned to Angel and said, "Yeah, sis. What were you saying?"

"You were pregnant when you died. I wasn't sure if I should tell you or not but I felt you should know because I felt uneasy when you said you're pregnant. I just want you and my niece or nephew to be fine. I don't want to lose any of you again so just be careful and know that I'm always here if you need."

Angel said on the verge of breaking down while Lily was in shock. So she did not just take her life but she even killed her own child in her last life?

"D-Does Sam know about this?", Lily asked as her voice broke towards the end. Angel shook her head and said, "Uncle only told me since Sam was already not in a condition to bear anymore trauma. His condition would have been worse if we had told him this that time."

Lily looked down and nodded.

"Sissy, I didn't mean to upset you", Angel said in a guilty tone. "Ahhh! Sam will kill me if he comes to know that I upset you", she panicked and started looking here and there nervously.

Lily calmed herself and looked at Angel as she said, "Behave like nothing happened." With that Lily wiped the tears from her eyes that were threatening to run down her cheeks and looked up with a smiling face.

"Let's go in, sis", she said and held hands of Angel as they walked inside.

Angel was stunned upon seeing such reaction. This girl was really much stronger than she looked. For a girl to know that she lost her child because of what she did would make a girl go crazy.

Now it's either that she did not care about it or she was too strong to hide the pain deep inside her.

The otherwise seemed more accurate in case of Lily.

As Lily walked inside the mansion, her chest tightened because of the guilt she had in her heart but she thanked God for giving her the happiness again in this life of having a child. She would do anything and everything just to keep this child of hers safe now.

"Wifey", Sam called out when he saw Lily come in. Lily looked up at him and smiled but Sam noticed something unusual in her behaviour.

Lily looked guilty when she looked straight into his eyes that were filled with love and care for her. The baby was their dream and she killed the happiness with her own hands last time.

Subconsciously, her hand moved up to her stomach caressing it slowly. Sam came forward with a frown on his face and pulled her closer. He gestured Angel to leave which she did without saying a single word and left them alone.

Sam cupped Lily's small face in his hands and caressed her cheeks with his thumb. "What's wrong, crybaby?", he asked slowly in a very gentle tone. Lily shook her head and hugged him tightly hiding her face in his bare chest.

He hugged her and caressed her hairs slowly calming her nerves. "What happened? Tell me", he said in a low tone as he rubbed her back slowly. She shook her head and hugged him tighter as she mumbled, "Just tired."

Sam knew that wasn't the case but he did not push her more and just continued to calm her. Once she was calm, she pulled back and looked at him like a small kid, "We'll take care of our baby well."

She looked so cute that it he wanted to pinch and bite her cheeks which he gladly did. She was taken aback when he suddenly pinched one of her cheek and bit and sucked the other one. He pecked on her cheeks then stood up straight.

"Such a cute kiddo you are. How will a little kiddo like you handle our baby?", he asked and let out a small chuckle. Lily blinked looking at him before her lips puckered and she spoke cutely, "I'm not a kiddo and I'm good at taking care of babies."

Sam laughed and patted her head. "Don't worry. Even if you can't, you've me." Lily raised a brow and said ironically, "Really? The dad who wants to steal all of his kid's food is saying he will take care of the baby. What an irony!"

"Oiee, they are mine. I won't compromise with what's mine", he said in a firm tone. Lily let out a laughter and said, "Really? If the baby comes to know when it grows up, the baby might hate you for that."

"Much better. If not, I'll beat the baby. He would be grateful that at least I let him be with his mother", Sam said proudly. Lily rolled her eyes as she spoke, "What are you proud of? Such a shameless bastard father, you gonna be."

Sam laughed and kissed her cheek as he embraced her in his arms.

"Momma. Dad", Sanna called out as she ran towards them. Lily pulled back from the hug and looked at the little girl who came running towards them.

"There. There. Slow down, kiddo", Sam chided while patting Sanna's head.

"Dad, can I go for trekking with Ali uncle?", Sanna asked looking at Sam with sparkly eyes. "Ask your momma. She's the boss", Sam said pointing his thumb at Lily and Sanna turned to Lily with hopeful eyes.

"You can go but first I need to talk to ur uncle about it and get every detail", Lily said caressing Sanna's hairs. Sanna jumped happily and ran towards the living area where everyone were sitting.

Sam and Lily walked towards them while he whispered, "It finally feels so good to have you here. Don't go anywhere else, wifey. Stay with us here. You belong here."

He held her hand making her look up at him. "I will, baby. Just a little time then I'll be here", she said with a gentle smile while he sighed and a gave a nod.

When Lily went to sit with everyone, she received a call from her mother. She just couldn't believe this woman. How can she be so shameless and disappointing! Tsk!

Lily ignored the call but her phone rang again. Sam noticed it and gestured her to pick up. Lily sighed and picked up the call to hear a screeching voice of her mother from the other side, "You ungrateful kid! Your father is in such a bad condition because of you and you don't even pick up the call."

Lily put the phone away from her ear but when she looked around she realised everyone already hurt the loud voice of that lady as they were looking at her worriedly. Lily calmed herself and reminded herself to not waste energy on such people.

"You should check it first because of whom his condition is getting bad. I don't even bother to see you guys, do you think I will do anything to hurt your husband? You like to dream. I don't have time for people I have no relation with", Lily said in a cold tone.

"Don't have relation? I am your mother who gave birth to you", her mother shouted while Lily rolled her eyes.

"Whatever! Just come to the point."

"Your father is worried about you so he is getting sick. Be responsible. You don't do anything and just live on the money your family provides. Get married to the person we chose for you."

Lily wanted to break her phone when she heard it but did not reply and hung up. She then stood up and went upstairs to change her clothes.

When she came down, she was wearing a loose beige floral A line knee length dress that hugged her body below her breasts and was let down loosely. She paired her dress with white sneakers.

"Momma, are you leaving?", Sanna asked with a sad look. Lily caressed her head slowly and kissed on her forehead as she spoke gently, "I'll come back soon, kiddo. Mom has something important to look after."

Sanna nodded and sighed sadly.
