After leaving Kyan's room I was a little worried about the call Victor made. The message said he left some important files which he needed in half an hour and Kyan was nowhere to be seen
"Julia?"I called out to Julia as soon as I was downstairs. The house was indeed quiet, a little too quiet that I wondered if there was no other member of the family other than Monica or Justin who was Victor's cousin but didn't leave here
"Ms...do you need anything?"Julia came rushing from the kitchen and she looked worried. I scanned her face for a while and shrugged not sure why she had that worried expression on her face
"Where is everyone...is Kyan around?"I asked, looking around and I saw how her expression turned into a calm one.
"We'll miss Monica taking Kyan out for his training...other than them it's just you and us," she said as we walked to the sitting room. My eyes narrowed suspiciously, not sure what to say. If Kyan and Monica were away then who was going to take the files to Victor. He had been calling kyan for a long time and Kyan wasn't around
"Julia when is Kyan coming back?"
"Ms. He went for his swimming training and normally he gets back in the night" she replied politely as I sat down and she poured me a glass of water. I failed to understand why Victor's servants always came to me and served me what I didn't want or ask for. Just like Julia she never missed a chance to make me feel comfortable. I took a glass of water since I was thirsty and took a sip.
"Okay then, "I said helplessly and waved her off. Julia left and I remained there thinking. What if Victor was desperate for the files then again I expected him to send Beverly but if he decided to call kyan it meant he had no other option
"Oh no...what should I do now"it was hard to think as I leaned back to the sofa but then again sat up. I was confused about everything. I could as well as ignore everything and sit as if I didn't hear a thing but then again Victor's message flashed before my eyes and I found myself rushing back to Kyan's room
I didn't waste time but entered Kyan's room and ran to get his phone. Again I found three more missed calls from five minutes ago
"Okay... Vivienne, you promised to stay out of his affairs but then again...the grumpy man is the troublemaker…"I muttered in frustration as I strode towards his room feeling irritated with the situation. Here I was sitting by myself thinking about how boring my life was and Victor's troubles popped out of nowhere and now I was so helpless
"He always creates trouble and I can't resist jumping in to save him, "I said out loud as I went through the various files I found on the table in his bedroom. If I knew any better then I shouldn't have let curiosity get the best of me and now as I found the two files he described. I quickly went back to my room and changed into something more comfortable and appealing. I took my purse and my phone together with Kyan's phone and stormed out
I was Damned to get into trouble with what I was doing and I knew this.
"Ms...are you heading out...I made lunch"Julia came out of nowhere and startled me when I was about to rush towards the door but I had no time for her. Victor needed the files urgently
"Mr. Ellison left these and he wants them...I'll be back soon" saying that I left in a hurry. She was about to say something to stop me from leaving but I had no time for her hence I proceeded out of the house and luckily I found my driver
"Hey, Bobby...it's Bobby right?" I said as soon as I walked up to the tall brown-haired driver wearing his white driver uniform with black cap saw me and approached me with a low bow
"It's Robert" he corrected me politely but I shrugged and smiled as I walked to the black SUV parked to the sides. It looked clean and shiny and I knew he just washed it
"Okay Bobby...can you take me to...this address, "I said waving my hands in the air and taking out Kyan's phone, and showed him the address
"Yes Ms" he replied with a half bow and I was glad he didn't question me as others did. It seemed he was indeed my driver, he wasn't so old but looked to be in his twenties or so but his face was a little round and so serious. The door to the backseat was opened for me and like a good girl I settled in with cheers.
He took the driver's seat and started the car. Before driving away from the Ellison mansion, I tried calling Beverly. She told me if I needed anything I could reach out to her but her phone was off. Wasn't Victor's secretary why was she answering?
Thinking about that I sighed heavily and slammed the phone in my lap. I had to get to the resort fast before the grumpy man got into trouble

Meanwhile, Victor was about to have a fit from calling the incompetent people around him, he didn't know why he got so careless and left some important files he needed. His four partners. The most important people he needed as part of his company were already sitting in the private meeting room the resort could offer and he was outside pacing back and forth as he tried calling his little brother. He already tried calling Monica but her phone was off
His last option was kyan. But his little brother was too incompetent.
"Sir...the meeting is about to start...they are waiting"it was Jason who interrupted his trail of thoughts and now he was helpless. He could have sent any of his employees to his house to get the files but now he had to give an excuse over something so little
The people waiting for him weren't ordinary but serious businessmen from different countries and if he went in there and told them he left the files he needed then they would think he wasn't serious, forget that his reputation would be ruined so would his company's reputation
"Stall for some time... I'll be right back," he said as he shoved his phone back in his pockets and left from there. If it meant going home himself then so be it but then again he needed half an hour or fifteen minutes or so to get to his mansion
"Damn it" he cursed in frustration as he took the elevator to the ground floor hoping he wasn't ruined.
