By now the rest of the family had gathered in the living room waiting for Victor to return. Leo was pacing around while Justin was called to the hospital for an emergency which was why Leo was forced to come back from his search. Kyan was with Monica while Martha who joined them after she came back from the hospital was giving out coffee which none in the room wanted to take
This had never happened before, Vivienne was never this careless no matter what she told everyone where she was going and if she would take long however now she had Everyone on the edge of their seats wondering where she could be at such a time. Leo had searched places he knew she would go to unfortunately he didn't find her. He even went as far as going back to the same orphanage she grew up in, just maybe she went there for something but nothing. He called Cassy but she was out of town hence he was helpless and ended up coming back to the mansion
"I'm sure Vic will find her...the police are searching too," Martha said as she drank her coffee. She was exhausted because she spent two days working the night shift and now she had a tiny break the next morning however she needed to rest which wasn't likely to happen when the Surrogate had gone missing
"We should call Vic...he can't be searching alone," Monica said as she rose from the couch. She was done waiting for something which wasn't likely to happen. Even Leo who had been looking for Vivienne was back just a few minutes ago
"Yes I think so too...we should all go," Kyan added. He had stayed in the house waiting when he could be out there waiting
"Let's go then...I don't think the police would be able to find her," Martha suggested while putting the cup of coffee on the table and grabbing her jacket. The four made their way to the door but just then. The front door brought them to a sudden halt and Victor walked in holding a coat in his hands
"Vic please tell me you found her!"Monica said as she rushed to Victor who just walked in so did Kyan and Justin as well as Leo who arrived asking about Vivienne
"Bro where is she?"Kyan asked as well, seeing how worn out and tired Victor looked. They knew he didn't find anything
"No," Victor said and walked away. He was devastated because despite how he looked it was like playing hide and seek with someone unknown. He tried his level best to find his Surrogate but it seemed she didn't want to be found. What happened to her to do this and what was she thinking when she was pregnant. She could barely do anything for herself in such a condition and she left. The four watched as Victor made his way to the stairs and just then. Leo's phone started ringing and without delay, he retrieved it from his jacket pocket and it was Maverick calling
"Is everything okay?"Leo asked feeling worried as to why Maverick called him
"What...how is she?"Leo exclaimed in alertness and Victor stopped in his tracks and turned around narrowing his eyes at Leo who was nodding while on the phone
"What is it?"Monica asked without even waiting for Leo to finish and Leo didn't answer her but disconnected the call and rushed to Victor
"She's at the hospital... someone brought and I'm afraid...she's in labor... her condition, is critical" Leo said, running his hand in his hair, and Victor didn't even wait or ask as he dropped the coat he had and rushed to the door. Monica was next so was Kyan and the rest followed knowing this was serious. She wasn't supposed to give birth until some days unfortunately this was happening and judging by the sound of Maverick's voice. He was nervous.

"Her water broke...she's still away from giving birth and she wants Vic to do it, "Maverick said and Justin, who just came to know about this, ran his hands in his hair. All the doctors were ready for this but the baby was far from coming out. They just measured her
"I'm sure Vic is coming...she won't push because she's too scared to do it, "Justin remarked. Both were standing outside the room Vivienne was admitted in and after making sure everything was ready. Maverick decided to call Victor and inform him what was happening unfortunately his phone was switched off which is why he called Leo instead and thankfully. Leo answered
"Doctor...she's having a fit…" the nurse rushed out of the room and Mavericks well as Justin rushed inside closing the door securely
"I...it hurts...ahh"Vivienne cried out as she moved around the hospital bed she was lying on. Her body was going through so much pain that tears were falling non-stop
"Hey hey... you'll be fine...don't worry just hang on Vivienne"Maverick said as he caressed her forehead while Justin rushed to check the machines. She was going through some contractions and this was the most crucial part. She had to endure the pain until her cervix reach ten centimeters
"C...call him... please...call Vic," she said with shortened breaths as she bit her lower lip tightly. Her hands were gripping the sheets so tightly that Justin held her hand. As doctors they understood the pain she was going through but all together Vivienne was a strong lady. If it was someone else they would have asked for an operation but she just wanted Vic to do it
"Don't worry he's on the way...I called for him"Maverick muttered and she seemed to calm down a little. She was suppressing pain by biting her teeth. His heart ached seeing how much she was trying not to show the pain
"Relax sweetheart you are a brave girl.. you'll be fine...the baby is ready to come out...don't give you sweetheart, "Justin said as he walked around the bed and when the door opened. The two felt relieved upon seeing Victor already dressed in his doctor's gear. But was just wearing his gloves. Not just him but Martha came too and another female doctor
"She's almost there but I'm afraid she's too nervous to push"Maverick gave the reports as soon as Victor walked in and Vivienne who felt someone's presence shut her eyes as she tried to suppress the pain. The soft bed felt so uncomfortable as if she was lying on rocks
"Blood pressure...does she have enough blood and water…."Victor asked as he walked close to the bed. Vivienne was covered with a blue sheet and had folded her legs
"You'll be fine sweetheart," he said as he prepared to raise the sheets so he could see if she was ready to deliver. Justin and Martha left since they weren't needed and only Maverick, Victor, and the other doctor who got close
"Her blood pressure was a high a while ago but it's normal now... everything is normal"Maverick said when he was done checking Vivienne's blood pressure
"She's just scared…" the other doctor said and Victor nodded
"Hey...work with me, Sweetie...I'm here...I want you to look at me" Victor said as he walked to Vivienne and tried to relax her. She was way too tense and saw sweat dripping down her face. He knew she was going through the worst of it
"D...don't leave...please.. it's...ahhh" even her voice was hoarse and sounded tired. She seemed exhausted that for a second Victor was afraid that he would have to switch to something else
"I won't leave...trust me you won't feel any pain just focus your eyes on me...I'm right here" he murmured as he caressed her face wiping away all the sweat. He was more scared than she was but he wasn't going to do this until she was calm
"I'll...be brave...it's hurting so much" she forced the words out and seeing how bloody her lower lip was Victor held her hand and she was close like I was. She was afraid and that wasn't good
"Push when I tell you...I'm here and no one will hurt you I promise" he said as he lowered to her and surprisingly captured her lips for a kiss. Even if she was going through agonizing pain. She responded to the kiss. And to relax her Victor intertwined their hands soothing her with his kisses. It was shocking for the doctors and nurses to see the man they always saw as cold and emotionless do something
"Mm...that's it"Victor murmured, breaking the kiss and she saw how she wanted him to go on but he didn't want that when she was ready.
"Relax sweetie...you are stronger...the bravest girl I know," he said, assuring her and Vivienne nodded feeling at ease, and when Victor moved away and got to work. The people waiting outside paced back and forth. Justin didn't leave but stood there as they waited for the good news. Leo had his fingers crossed while Kyan and Monica were sitting together holding hands.
