"This is enough...thanks Julia, "I said when I got the tray of heavy breakfast on the tray from the kitchen. Julia wanted to take breakfast to Monica but I decided to do it. Since last night the woman had been ignoring me. I felt terrible and didn't even want to see Victor when he came back

I was angry at him for being such a jerk as to use me for his benefits, yes the situation was unpleasant and any man would get angry if the people close to him were doing that kind of thing under his roof

"Please just eat this once...see she made omelets and pancakes. I asked her not to add syrup because you hate it. ''I said when I got to Monica's room and she was avoiding me. I found her bedroom door open and she was sitting by the window going through some files. She wasn't like her usual self but just wearing a white robe with her hair pinned up and her face make-up free

"Take everything out" she simply said without even looking at me. I came to know the envelope I got the last time was some good news. I also overheard her talking to Victor about her work and I came to know she was starting to work at a bank in a couple of months

"Please eat something...I'm sorry I didn't mean to...I've apologized to the doctor about this...please Nini forgive me" I said and went on my knees just close to her and grabbed her hand. She seemed surprised that she shifted her attention to me and her brows were creased

"Who's Nini?" she asked with a frown and my eyes widened in delight as I said to get to my feet but I ended up sitting beside her on the couch

"It's from Monica...but the name is long so I'll call you Nini from now on...is it cute"I beamed smiling at her but she had that grumpy facial expression like every time I talked to her

"Get out" she spat out and focussed her eyes on her work. Was she that upset with me when it was her fault

"You got me angry...I hate it when you say I'm only here to trap Vic"I remarked with a frown and shifted my eyes away from her. I didn't do anything on purpose, she insulted me first, and like Victor said I was bad at controlling my mouth whenever I got angry

"I have worked... you should leave" she muttered and I was even more concerned

"Okay, I'll talk…"

"Vivienne, just leave already... I've wasted enough time waiting for you to give birth so I could go back to work...now it seems I'm not needed here," she said, shoving the files away from her lap and I felt horrible. Did she stop work all because she wanted to take care of her sister's child until it was born

"Moni I'm sorry...I" it was even hard for me to look at her. All this time I misjudged her. Maybe I disrespected her "what can I do to make you feel better...I promise to do whatever you say"I added and held her hand pleading for her not to ignore me. I liked it when she was walking around scolding everyone. Yes, she was a controlling freak, walked with a head high like a boss lady but that's what made her different. She was a sister figure who didn't know how to express love but did it in her way

"Fine...leave me alone…" she said with a smile and I frowned. Was she faking it

"Should I talk to Leo...he told me you only stayed here so you can take care of your sister's baby"I had a word with Leo before, I asked him if Monica was in love with Victor and Leo laughed at me. I came to know that she was only here for her sister's child. Victor was a single man and would be a single father. He had work and a company to run. When the child was born to a surrogate Monica didn't expect that I would fall for Victor. She planned to stay and take care of the child until the baby grew of age that way Victor would be able to manage

"So did she eat?" it was who asked me and I nodded with a smile. When everything was happening, kyan was no way around and he just got back at night

"Yeah...so shall we"Kyan and I were going to the veterinarian to see how Tiny was doing. After months of being away, I guessed we could finally get him back

"I'm sure Vic won't mind d that we are going to see his puppy" Kyan said once we got outside where the driver was waiting for us. I nodded knowing for three months the little one had been under observation. It seemed his little leg wasn't doing fine so he took the puppy to the vet unfortunately he was given four months to refrain from moving on his own

On my way, I texted Victor since I didn't see him in the morning ("hey sir...how are you...I sent breakfast and lunch...please eat on time and call me once you are free")I sent the text and waited for him to reply but I didn't expect him to do so now since he was working but I was happy we could chat sometimes.

"I have no business here… "Leo said as he stood to the sides avoiding the other man in the room other than Victor who was sitting in his chair behind the desk

"It's best if he doesn't show his face Vic...and don't even think I want to be in the same room as this damned fucker" Justin said keeping his eyes on Leo who felt the same.

"I don't care about your lives...you are here to work for me...I don't expect you to jeopardize my work due to your stupidity" Victor said angrily. He wasn't happy how these people he called family were fighting like dogs in the streets over a woman

"He made a mistake by laying his hands on my woman!"

"The woman whom you dumped and left...did you expect her to be alone? Justin said bitterly and tension rose in the air. He didn't think Leo and Monica were lovers. He suspected it at first but he wasn't sure but finding out he was deceived made him angry. Victor's eyes narrowed as he leaned back in his chair and watched the two men roast each other. They were all grown men but acting g like immature boys

"If you think I'm letting you have her then think again" Justin added, he loved Monica more than anything and he wasn't going to let some man from her past take him away when he left her. Hearing this, Leo was about to lose it. Anger flashed in his eyes and all he wanted to do was rip Justin apart but with Victor around, he kept his anger in check. He wasn't even sure why Victor called him to his office when he asked for a day off

"The shoot will start in a couple of hours...your contract with our company will end next month... finish your work then start this drama"Victor warned. Leo was his employee for now since he signed a contract with him and Justin was under observation as a doctor hence both of them were just his workers who needed to respect him

"Vic as long as this man stays away from the woman I love, "Justin remarked bitterly turning to Victor

"If he wants his little career to end...put some sense into his head...I have no time for little boys like him" Leo said with a warning glare and left from there. He hated how things turned out and he wasn't going to sit still and watch some man take his woman. Victor's office door slammed shut and he knew Leo was angry. Justin let out low curses as he ran his hand furiously in his hair

"Vic I have patients to see... we'll talk later" Justin said after some time and Victor waved him off. By now he was alone and pushing Justin and Leo's scandal to the back of his head. His eyes shifted towards the lounge and on the table was a food bag. It was delivered a while ago and yes his Surrogate sent it. Soon his phone vibrated and when he picked it up. It was a message from his Surrogate.

"Hmm" a low he left his lips upon reading the message and he decided to reply right away("there was no need but thanks...where are you?")he sent and waited for a while and in seconds his phone vibrated again

"She replied" he was stunned because now his little Surrogate had learned a few something about leaving him hanging hence he moved his chair back and rose to his feet ("gone for a walk... aren't you busy?")he read the message and his brows creased a little and waited before he replied

("Will have one in a couple of hours...had breakfast before leaving?")

He was concerned especially about the baby, soon the delivery day would come and he wanted her to be healthy during that crucial time hence Victor spent thirty minutes chatting with his Surrogate and he had to say it wasn't bad

Later on, he would pick her up from the park and she would suggest going to eat food from the streets. Victor exhaled when the door to his office opened and Jason walked in

"Sir...the car is ready," Jason said and Victor nodded.

**9 Months now**

I didn't know what it was but I was woken up by something wet licking my face, disturbing my beautiful sleep even so my eyes couldn't seem to want to open so did the little creature licking my face and stepping on me.
