Chapter 118: Chapter 118

Victor was going crazy driving around the city looking for Vivienne. He was too busy at the office to call her or respond to the countless messages she sent him and by the time he was done for the day he went back home but found chaos. She didn't return home in the morning

He asked the person who was in charge of driving her around and he wasn't back yet. He tried calling her but the call wasn't going through

He was agitated and worried that he couldn't keep still. He already threatened the police to look for her and what his men found and his heartache. Vivienne's driver was stabbed a few times and the car was damaged beyond repair that Victor lost it. He couldn't afford any more losses; he prayed nothing happened to her. The car was in flames and he charged in any way even when the police asked him to stay back. He didn't know what happened or who attacked his Surrogate but he was going to kill whoever had the guts to lay their hands on her

"Victor please calm down, we are working on this"one of his trusted policemen he knew said immediately he came back from issuing out orders to his men. This was a delicate matter and Victor was south of control that Jared saying things to him made his anger flare-up

"I'll pay any amount...shoot the culprit on spot and burn him alive, ''Victor said with pure rage. His voice was deadly that Jared the chief of police flinched knowing the businessman meant every word he said

"Vic to make things a little easy...when was the last time you talked to her...did she say anything...did she send you any message or anything, "Jared said as he walked back to his desk and Victor who was standing by the window staring out the dark sky turned around and reached for his pockets. Of course, the last time she saw her was in that parlor, other than that he kept on receiving messages from her but he was too busy to reply to her or pay any attention now that Jared had brought up the idea. He scrolled through his phone and the last message was at 3:30 PM("hey sir ..did you eat lunch yet...I'm still looking for cute shoes...don't reply I know you are busy….warm hugs for you") he read the cheesy message and she added some ridiculous smiley faces which he didn't know existed but one thing he knew that nothing was odd about the message. If she was shopping then Monica was supposed to be with her but when he asked. Monica had left a while ago which made him angry because the people around him were incompetent

"Let me see...maybe we can detect something," Jared said extending his hand to Victor and Victor shoved his phone in his hands for him to see the message

"Do you think she just got lost...how come no one has called for a Ransom? ''Victor asked. The last time his Surrogate was kidnapped was when they were in Oxford and the fools sent him a video that made him know what to do right away but now he was clueless. For the first time, he was relying on the police to make work happen

"It could be that they don't want the money...maybe she's just a target... is she the one you saved as Babyface?"Jared said but ended up asking because when he read the last message sent by the victim. It wasn't off or anything but what caught him off guard was the name Victor saved the woman in question. He looked at Victor who had a dark expression and a sharp piercing gaze which made him shut up and put the phone on the table

"Work doesn't ask questions...I'm done waiting for your incompetent men...I'm going to look for her"Victor said with a death glare took his phone and proceeded to the door. He was done waiting not as he wanted but he had gone out looking for yet Jared asked him to stay out of it which made him come to the police station but now he was done looking

"Where are you Vi ''he muttered as he walked to his car, still checking the pics she sent him. He didn't know what to do for the first time he felt so useless. Just then his phone started ringing hence without wasting time he answered knowing who was calling him

"Tell me something new...I'm on my way" he said as he got in his car and drove away from the busy police station. He was already getting stares which he hated

"Tie them up and make sure they don't get so fucking careless ever again" Victor gave his orders knowing he hated people who made mistakes. He made it clear to everyone to watch what they did. He trusted Monica with Vivienne's safety but they got careless and now she was missing.

"This is bad...Monica, how can you be so careless...Victor is furious" Kyan said as he paced around in the hallway. He called Leo and informed him what was happening, hence they came running. So far no one knew anything about Vivienne. Leo had gone out to look for her since he knew her but so far no news from him. Even Victor had been gone for so long

"Calm down Kyan I'm sure everything will be fine," Justin said once he came from talking on the phone. Monica was sitting in a chair worried sick. She was responsible for everything which happened. Only if she didn't leave Vivienne alone then everything would have been fine and now everything was a mess

"But who killed the driver...and who dared to kidnap her"Monica muttered as she exhaled and inhaled deeply. If she didn't suffer from hypertension then she was likely to suffer from one

"It's okay we'll get to the bottom of this' 'Justin muttered and rested his hand on Monica's shoulder comforting her but Monica flinched as guilt washed over her. His touch was assuring but knowing she was cheating with another man, made her feel guilty that she rose from the chair just to avoid him

She was lucky Leo didn't come with her, who knew what he would have done if he saw Justin. This was a mess. A big one

"You okay?"Justin asked as he walked close to her. She seemed uncomfortable which was unlike her

"Yeah...yeah, I'm fine, just worried," she said defensively and massaged her neck and turned away from him. Justin didn't think much but answered his phone when it vibrated

"Yes," he answered and walked away from there. Monica was agitated, she was afraid of what Victor would do to her once he got back. She was at fault.

"Driver faster...I'll make sure those rascals pay!"Leo growled as he looked ahead since it was Victor driving. Both men met up and took one car to the address where Jared said he tracked down Vivienne. No one knew who took her since they didn't receive any calls asking for money. Immediately he found out about this Victor had turned his car around and was driving towards the outskirts of the city. The road was dark and lifeless. Only his car was moving at high speed but he didn't know how Jared tracked down Vivienne so fast it seemed his Surrogate was indeed kidnapped and was taken to some isolated place. Already Leo called for backup because if the person could kill someone it meant they were dangerous

"Vic, who do you think did it?"Leo asked feeling agitated. He was anxious and upset with himself for acting like a fool. Vivienne was like a little sister to him and now her life was in danger. He was about to say more when Victor's phone started vibrating. He didn't even wait when he flipped the screen on and the message he read shattered him completely

("Mr hero save her if you can…")just like that, the message ended. It was an unknown number and again his phone beeped and this time it was a picture sent to him. His eyes narrowed deadly. Leo snatched the phone away to see what made him angry and yes

"Damn it... they'll pay!"Leo was shocked to see the pic of Vivienne unconscious and she had been dumped in some well.
