Victor sat in his chair as he watched Leo act like a teenager. Of all things he didn't expect Leo to be so happy to the point where he popped bottles of champagne at the same to e and started drinking in celebration
"Will you stop making my office dirty, "Victor said with a glare that drilled holes if it could. Leo was too thrilled to even pay attention to what his friend was saying because he didn't care. His heart was in immense joy. After reading what was written in the file, he couldn't help but feel like he was on top of the world. Everything was blissful all he wanted was to run out of Victor's office and embrace Vivie unfortunately he was stopped by Victor from doing that
"Stop it already...or do you want me to throw you out!"Victor made a low yell slamming his hand heavily on the desk and only his angry voice got Leo's attention as he stopped dancing and drinking and turned to look at his friend
"What's up bro in law...it does sound super, doesn't it... BROTHER IN LAW" Leo said smirking as he dropped back on the chair and exhaled in pure joy. His lips quivered upwards into a satisfied smile that Victor was about to spit fire. He only told him about this because he didn't want him to be so miserable and cry about his little sister who he thought died during childbirth. Victor had done nothing for the past three years than dedicate his time to finding Vivienne's family
He was heartbroken when he found out she didn't have a family. He didn't feel pity which he knew Vivie hated. She never complained about not having a family or a mother to give her love and teach her how to cook. He saw how much pain she harbored in her heart and all that he couldn't stand it. He was hoping to find her family even if he had to use every penny he had
"But why Vic...I'm sure she'll be thrilled to know I'm her brother...do you know what this means to me"Leo said with a questionable frown wondering why Victor said no to him running out of the office and telling Vivie they were siblings
"If you tell her about you then she'd want to know about that mother of yours," Victor said disdainfully. If it were up to him then he wouldn't have wanted Leo to be related to Vivie in the slightest. He was shocked when all the clues his men found led straight to Leo's family.
"But she doesn't have"
"She'll ask about her and I'm afraid her heart will break even more...that woman does not deserve a daughter like Vivienne"Victor cut Leo off before he could defend his mother. A woman who hated the children she gave birth to. Leo knew exactly what Victor meant. Every word was the truth and he hated to know he had a mother like that. If his mom didn't even feel the slightest remorse for leaving a small defenseless child at an orphanage entrance then would she be happy to see the daughter she abandoned years ago now
"But I still think she needs to know about this," Leo muttered, lowering his gaze to his fingers. All the happiness he had vanished and was replaced by anguish. The pain of putting himself in Vivienne's shoes.
"You'll only hurt her in the process...she's happy now and that's enough...if your so-called mother even dares to cause Vivienne pain…I'll ruin her life beyond repair"Victor warned The girl who spent her entire life raising herself. He hated the thought of how she managed to raise herself into a better woman. She never blamed her situation on anyone
"Vic I know all that but she's my sister...I can't stay quiet knowing the person I longed for all these years is right in front of me" he didn't have to suffer for his mother's sins. He greatly understood what Victor was saying and that he was just trying to protect Vivienne from getting hurt after knowing the woman who gave birth to her, was out there living a luxurious life peacefully when she left her daughter to die
"Tell that woman to get her lawyers ready...I'm taking over this"Victor spoke bitterly, tapping his fingers on the desk. Leo looked at his friend and his expression was not a friendly one. Of course, his mom committed a few crimes
"She won't give...she thinks everything belongs to her husband" it was pointless asking his mom for his father's money. The woman was so shameless as to take the inheritance his father left but he didn't care about money
"Vic at least let me see her...or let her stay with me"Leo was desperate as he tried to reason with Victor unfortunately the man didn't look so thrilled to hear him claim Vivienne
"Stay away from her or I won't hesitate to keep her…"Victor started saying with a deadly expression but his words died in his mouth when they heard a light knock on the door. Both men exchanged questionable glances when Victor permitted the person to come in. The door opened and Vivie walked in.. immediately Leo saw Vivienne. His lips curled upwards in a mischievous smile..his heart was once again alive as he flung off his chair that Vivie didn't expect to find Leo with Victor
"I missed you...I missed you baby doll" Leo said and tightened his grip around Vivie, caging her in his arms that Vivie was lost.
"Umm..L... Leo I...you saw me earlier" she said trying, by all means, to get out of his grip unfortunately also didn't seem to want to let go
"You don't know how happy I am to see you... sweetheart you are everything to me…"Leo continued mumbling as he gripped her even more, snuggling to her shoulder. Nothing felt better than knowing the little girl he cared about the entire time was his little sister. He didn't want to let go of her one bit. If he had to take her to his place and spoil her by making her favorite food. Telling her bedtime stories then he was willing to do that
"Help...me" Vivie mouthed to Victor who was just sitting there with a blank expression. When did Victor become this cool with another man hugging her in his presence? The last she recalled he went crazy even when kyan touched a single toe from her foot.

"So everything is okay?"Justin said to Alexis once he dressed her injury..it wasn't a lot but the lady hurt herself when she was trying to save a little girl from getting hit down the road just near Ellison private hospital. Justin happened to be driving to the hospital when he spotted a crowd of people.
"Thanks, doctor...it's just a scratch, "Alexis said, checking her arm which was now bandaged. Justin smiled and stared at her for a good amount of time and nodded with a smile
"You did well...but you shouldn't risk your life like that…" he said knowing she acted bravely when she saved that child. The man driving the car was high. He escaped the hospital with a stolen car and a lady was standing by the roadside with a little girl waiting for a taxi.
"Don't worry I didn't risk my life...but tell me...that man…"
"He was admitted for excessive use of drugs...he didn't want to be here...he was supposed to be taken to rehabilitation, unfortunately, he escaped before we could admit him"Justin explained the craziness of that man. She had never seen anyone act so reckless
"Okay...I'm sure the hospital will take care of it," Alexis said, shifting her eyes to her arm again. Justin nodded and gathered his things
"Maverick will be here soon...he's in the operation room," the doctor said, picking up his stethoscope and Alexis nodded. She must have arrived a little earlier than usual for her appointment with doctor Maverick..after what happened she didn't want to see the man but at the same time, she was doing this for Vivie. She didn't want to fail her when all she wanted was to help her as a sister
"Maybe I should just go"Alexis decided after waiting for another thirty minutes since doctor Justin left Maverick's office..she picked up her purse from the desk and walked to the door. Just as he was about to open it. Someone did it from outside nearing crashing into her but the person stopped just in time when Alexis looked up. Her eyes met with Maverick who seemed exhausted. His skin was a little flushed. He seemed more tired and inactive than usual. His eyes were red and dark circles hung around his eyes
"Leaving?"Maverick asked and walked into his office when Alexis moved out of the way and held her purse close. It was awkward seeing the doctor especially when his presence gave her chills
"You...well you must be busy...I'll come back some other day," she said hesitantly and prepared to leave when Maverick spoke stopping her in her tracks and Alexis turned around
"Ms. Crawley...can we talk?" he said and gracefully sat down in his chair. Alexis didn't understand that but closed the door and walked to the empty seat
"Doctor it's best if what happened yesterday doesn't happen again," Alexis said, fixing her eyes on him..she didn't mean to be rude to him but he had to understand and know his boundaries as a man. He didn't just have to go kissing a woman like he did when such actions could arouse something unpleasant
"My apologies Ms. Crawley...I'm very sorry for my actions the first day we met"the man muttered softly without looking at her. For a second Alex thought he wasn't talking to her but when his head lifted and their eyes met. She saw sincerity, was he really saying sorry or just covering up the fact that he kissed her inappropriately.
