"And what do you like?"I asked as we snuggled to each other. He let me off after using my new girlfriend's card. I couldn't believe he just asked me to be his girlfriend in the middle of our hot session. So romantic that I just wanted to scream and shout to the world that I was now Victor's girlfriend. He didn't know what this meant to me. It was our first step to being together. I knew he was trying hard to make us work even if he still had his wife in his heart
"Everything...I'm not so picky actually" he murmured as he drew circles on my arm. I glanced up at him and found him looking down at me..his expression was calm like the serene waters of the sea. I found peace with this man even if I had a secret to keep… I was afraid of the consequences. Of his reaction once he came to know Skylar was our daughter. It terrified me greatly knowing he wanted Alisa's last memory. Even if I managed to be in his life. His beloved wife still held a special place in his heart and I respected that
"So why don't you work in a hospital... you are a good doctor?"I asked the question which had been bothering me for so long. It was shocking that Victor was a good businessman as well as a doctor. He seemed more passionate about his doctor side than working in a company as the CEO hence I wanted to know more about him about his life. His childhood and his university days. Did he have a girlfriend in high school? Was he a playboy and how did he get married?
"It's...okay if you don't want to answer...but how did you become a doctor?"I added before he could get upset and leave me. I didn't want him to get angry with my silly questions but I was so eager to know Victor Ellison
"My father was the one who built the company...he was dedicated and wanted it to expand" he started saying, surprising me and I nodded for him to go on as he adjusted me into a good sleeping position. He was half-sitting with his back resting on the pillows and his head on the headboard. The room was dark and tranquil. The air so fresh like the morning dew
"My mom owned a hospital...she was a neurosurgeon...but she died...it was a horrible one which left everyone shattered" he continued and the last part broke my heart. I held his hand and kissed it. His voice had turned soft and low hence I guessed he was hurt about his mom's death. As much as I wanted to ask how she died I chose to let him tell me
"After that, my dad didn't want anything to do with hospitals...so he sold it" he passed and I was even more eager to know. It seemed there was more to the story than what meets the eye
"So you wanted to be a doctor just like your mom?"I asked softly even when I knew he wanted that. Judging by the way he said it. It seemed he wasn't pleased when his father sold the hospital. It must have been dear to his mom
"When that happened I was in the middle of getting my degree as a neurosurgeon in another country... actually...my father sent me to business school but I didn't want that," he said, this time I detected a smile in his voice and I knew he loved being a doctor than a businessman tycoon
"So you went in secret" it was shocking that the calm man in my arms was rebellious. I would have loved to be there when Victor was going behind his father's back and was studying something else "why didn't your father just let you be a doctor?"
"He wanted someone to inherit the company and his legacy...when he found out I was graduating as a doctor...he was furious" he explained and this time he caressed my hair lovingly. It felt so good to be in his arms. Our bodies pressed against each other "
"I'm sorry," I said, not sure if my words were comforting. I didn't want him to tell me more because Kyan once told me what happened next. His father forced him to give up his lifelong passion and become a businessman. Kyan told me their father forced Victor to start his business studies again and eventually took over the company not just that but his father arranged his marriage without his knowledge
"I think you should do what you love sweetheart," I said caressing his face lovingly, his beard was so soft and his lips just heaven, he seemed shocked as he looked at me as if I said something bad. I grew afraid, not sure if it was too early for that but
"Say that again" he muttered holding my hand in his and I smiled like a fool. The man was being so childish and ruined the moment I wanted to form
"Stop being childish... haven't you ever heard that before...couples call each other pet names"I simply said and tried to get out of his embrace but the man as fast as he caught me and flipped me beneath him?
"Is redhead nice" he murmured mischievously as he caressed my face with the back of his hand gently and I smacked him on the chest hiding my face from him. I was certain my cheeks and ears had turned red from embarrassment. He was a devil that I knew because he wouldn't tease me like this. We were a couple now he could call me whatever he felt was right because he'd forever be my grumpy man
"Stop it, Vic," I said in between laughter when he started kissing my body like a crazy person..we just made some hot love a few hours ago and he was at it again but what to do when I was a sucker for him
After that, we resumed our lovemaking. it was even more intense than before and when we were done. He fell asleep which allowed me to leave the bed and get some water;hence I left the bedroom and went to the kitchen
"Kyan are you sure..is she sleeping...tell me if she's scared or…"I asked agitatedly worried about Skylar. Victor was way too careless. He was spending the night with me but what about Skylar. I decided to call Kyan and ask how Skylar was doing and thank goodness he was awake and answered the phone
"Okay but if she wakes up or cries just call me please Kyan, "I told him while putting back the bottle of water in the refrigerator and waiting for a sleepy Kyan to tell me things. He assured me Skylar was okay with Victor away but I wasn't so convinced. What if she got scared and wanted to sleep in her Papa's room and the man was in my bed which seemed to be what he liked doing now
Disconnecting the call, I decided to get some sleep. The man was already sleeping and it was almost morning hence the few hours left I had to get some shut eyes and once I got back to my bedroom. The lights were out but I could see the man sleeping like an innocent child, his body was wrapped in sheets hence I took the right side and pulled the blanket over my cold body and closed my eyes. It didn't take long before sleep consumed me knowing I was exhausted.

Alexis woke up the following morning to the buzzing of her alarm clock. As much as she wanted to sleep she couldn't neglect the deafening sound of the alarm which she forgot to put on because it was a Sunday and a day to relax. However, how was she going to do that when her head was spinning as if she had gone rollercoaster riding the entire night.
"Damn it" she groaned as she dragged her sore body off the bed holding her head which hurt more than anything. Her extended hand reached for the alarm clock on the nightstand and before she could turn it off. The damn thing slipped through her hand and crashed on the floor and continued buzzing even more
"Oh stop it bitch" she groaned, opening her eyes but she only saw fog. "Huh?" she blinked a few times not sure if it was normal to see fog unfortunately she was too tired as she rubbed her blurry eyes adjusting to the bright light in the room indicating it was early in the morning
"Okay...no alarm "she muttered and slammed the clock on the bed when she turned it off and set her feet down. She scanned her surroundings and she was in her room
"Oh, thank goodness" she mumbled, placing her hand dramatically over her beating heart because she recalled how some rude doctor troubled her the entire night. The man got into a fight. Was nearly arrested. He got arrested for assault and Alexis had to bail him out. All this wouldn't have been possible if the other nice doctor Justin didn't show up
"That doctor Ricky will pay…" she said when she got up from the bed and pushed her hair off her face and limped towards the bathroom to get some painkillers. Sooner or later Maverick had to pay for humiliating her like that back at the club. Everyone thought he was her crazy jealous boyfriend but he was not
"Damn it...now where are those painkillers?" she said when she went through the cabinet in the bathroom but didn't find anything to stop her headache. This was the problem with drinking alcohol. Waking up with a hangover was the worst part which made her think about Vivienne
"That bitch disappeared," she exclaimed, recalling how she tried calling Vivienne's phone but it was off. Last night she nearly went to jail and wanted her friend to help her with the doctor unfortunately her friend might have found a company
"Maybe she has some painkillers" saying that with a lazy yawn, Alexis wore some fluffy house slippers, tied the satin ropes to the long robe with a matching nightgown she was wearing and decided to see Vivviene and scold her for doing that to her
"Morning" Alexis greeted someone she happened to know within the hotel as she entered the elevator. The thing of having Vivienne on another floor was not working for her. She might as well find an empty apartment close to Vivie but for now, she had to get used to taking the elevator, and once the elevator came to a halt. She walked out and made her way to Vivienne's apartment and when she reached the door and knocked. There was no answer which was now what Vivie had been doing
"Is she sleeping...what's up with her"Alexis was not happy as she turned the doorknob and to her surprise, the door wasn't locked which meant the lady was awake
"Strange" she muttered when she almost tripped on Vivienne's jeans which she picked up. Alexis didn't go far when she spotted a man's coat lying on the floor. Curiosity ran through her head as she looked around wondering if her friend had a hot night
"Oh damn, the bitch did have... Daddy keeping her warm"Alexis muttered with giggles when she saw someone's panties and her little crop shirt ripped
"Wild huh"Alexis was overjoyed as she walked up to Vivienne's room which was closed hence she pushed it open
"Bestie I have a headache do you have…"Alexis pushed the door open and said knowing the two didn't have any curtsies or formal relationship hence she just walked inside Vivienne's room just like she did but soon came to a halt as her blue eyes widened in shock upon seeing the sight before her
"Vivie" Alexis muttered, muffling her mouth with her hand Vivienne heard her. She jerked up as if she had been having a nightmare when their eyes met. Vivienne was shocked beyond reason seeing her friend standing by the door and there she was with a naked victor in her bed and to her shame. The man had his arms wrapped around her body while she had been resting her head on his chest. Alexis shifted her eyes to the man's face and it was none other than their boss
"Him?"She couldn't believe what she was seeing. Vivie, her innocent best friend, was actually in bed with the man who had the power to make people bow before him.
"A...Alex...it's"Vivienne muttered in disbelief as she quickly gathered the sheets around her and knew she was doomed. Alexis was looking at her with disgust and shock in her eyes.
