It was a different feeling standing there outside the Ellison mansion. The grand glorious mansion stood tall and was far more mesmerizing than anything I've ever seen. From the exterior design of the building to the breathtaking surroundings. Like the security men knew there was someone outside, the golden white-painted gate opened wide revealing a beautiful scenery. It was different from three years ago, not sure if I hadn't been here but the arrangements seemed to have changed. Indeed Victor Ellison was wealthy at times I forgot about that tiny detail

"Welcome Miss" one of the security men greeted me with a respectable bow which I returned not sure why he was showing me so much respect. He wasn't there last time I guessed he was new

I held my purse close and walked down the long pavement leading to the front entrance. I took a glance around and I guess the surroundings looked better and more bewitching with colorful flowers and Victor had a lot of flowers planted around. The garden was filled with exotic flowers and some tall trees for fresh air

I didn't know what to do once I reached the front door but when I was about to ring the doorbell. The doors opened on their own surprisingly and it was Julia who came out

"Oh my god Ms. Payton you are here," she said cheerfully as if she was waiting for me. I stood there smiling at her not sure what to say. She didn't change one bit although with short hair but it was all Julia

"And how are you?"I said standing there and she pulled me in a hug and I had no choice but to let her excitement run free

"I thought kyan was lying when he told me you were coming"Julia regained her wits and let go of me keeping her distance "my back does come in Sky is so excited for this," she said stepping aside and I nodded with a smile and walked inside. The scent of lavender and other mixed fragrances hit my nose. That familiar homely smell I got used to reminds me of my stay here. I forgot I used to stay here. Ran around the mansion and caused more trouble than I could remember. The feeling was hard to forget or get rid of.

I walked to the main hall which led either to the stars, the kitchen, the vast living room, the study room, and other rooms which were downstairs. I recalled being carried upstairs by Victor. It was something I kept in my heart. I saw they added some pictures on the wall and one of them was of Skylar and Tiny. The sight of me felt something moving in my chest. She looked happy and there was one with Kyan and Victor.

"I'll call her, she's getting…"Julia said and was about to head to the stairs when

"Chase me...you can't catch me!" there came giggles of the little girl running mischievously. We quickly rushed to the stairs only to see Skylar in pink shorts and a small crop shirt and some white sneakers running down the stairs with one of the female servants chasing after her. I smiled not sure if to laugh but the way the lady looked exhausted had me feeling helpless

"Reina...get back here, let's fix your hair!" the lady shouted just as I rushed to Skylar and she ended up bumping into me because she was about to fall from running without minding about the stairs

"Hey...hey slow down sweetie"I caught them in my arms and went on my knees and she ended up hugging me surprising me even more

"Sky...let her fix your hair...see Aunt Vivienne is here, "Julia said when Skylar moved away from me and she pouted and moved to my side. I was whipped by her mischievous behavior which was familiar

"She doesn't know how to…"Skylar said fisting my jacket in her little hands

"Please let's fix your hair or else you won't go," the lady said sounding tired but Sky hid away from her leaving the lady helpless

"Sky...do you want me to do it?"I turned to her and asked and held her in my arms. She stared at me for a while as if processing what I just said to her and the next thing surprised me. She went behind me and climbed on my back. For a three years old girl she was something else.

"Sky no... Ms. Payton, she's…"Julia said trying to stop Sky but I shook my head at her and rose to my feet securely the girl  from falling

"It's okay...just get me her comb and hair conditioner" I simply said and Julia nodded and the lady rushed back upstairs while I was led to the living room. She just needed someone to play with her. Kids were that way, they hated anyone touching their hair, and combing it was another thing they hated

"Is it hurting?"I asked once I started attending to her hair but she shook her head. I had already given her my bracelet which she wanted immediately I made her sit on my lap

"Did Papa give?"Skylar asked turning to show me the bracelet she was wearing and I was stunned looking around if anyone heard her but thank goodness it was just Sky and me

"Sky...umm...no it's mine," I said hesitantly and turned her head away so I could tie it. How did she know the bracelet was given by her Papa. The way she was giggling while looking at it. She even wore it although it was big on her. The gold bracelet was too big to fit her little wrist

"Liar... Papa gave...he told me...he said it's for the pretty princess" Skylar said giggling while making jingles with the bracelet. I was at a loss as I sat there frozen in place. Did Victor tell Skylar all that and if Skylar already knew her dear Papa bought a gift for me then just what else has that grumpy man been telling his daughter

"S...sweetie...what else did Papa say?"I asked turning her around so she could look at me and the girl smiled mischievously

"Papa said it's a secret and…"Skylar answered but stopped when someone walked in. Quickly she climbed off my lap and rushed to the person who just walked in looking all elegant and classy

"Auntie" she threw herself in Monica's arms. and Monica smiled hugging her back and giving her some chocolates

"Hey baby girl"Monica said with giggles

"Thanks, thanks"

"Okay now go to the dining room and have your breakfast"Monica said smiling at Skylar who was too busy opening her chocolate and she ran out of the living room. Monica's smile dropped once she looked up at me and I knew she had something to say

"So...the ex Surrogate is here... Ms. Payton herself decided to be a babysitter now...how funny, "Monica remarked sarcastically but her words didn't affect one bit

"Good morning to you too Nini, "I said smiling at her and she was not happy

"Don't call me that and lastly do what you came here for...as an employee" she spat out when I called her by the nickname I gave her

"Well I'm here as a babysitter and well to ask you questions, "I said boldly walking towards her and she looked at me with narrowed disdainful eyes

"Don't think just…."

"We need to talk about Alisa's death...and the person trying to kill me" I cut her off and got straight to the point. She didn't blink nor react but stared at me as if she knew what I wanted to ask her. Of course, I had to bring things to the surface sooner or later and she had some answers to give me.

Alexis was sitting in the waiting room going through a magazine about health stuff as well as health personnel… She came to the hospital earlier so she could see the rude doctor and his secretary told her to wait in the waiting area since he had some patients to attend to. So far it had been an hour and her turn wasn't coming anytime soon. She saw even the people who didn't make an appointment go before her. How on Earth was that possible

"Hey excuse me but I came here an hour ago...the people who left said they didn't make an appointment but he attended to them, "I said to the nurse who just came in the room and she stopped and turned to look at me

"The doctor didn't request for you...so that's why, "she said after scanning me for a good amount of time. Her reply shocked me. Did this mean the rude doctor was busy ignoring me?

"Then I'll go there myself," I said and turned to pick up my purse and walked right past the nurse

"Ms you can't go there the doctor is busy," the nurse said and ran after me but I was done giving that Maverick any face. He didn't deserve to be a doctor. I came as early as 8 AM but he was ignoring me. I reached his office door and pushed the door open without even caring to knock

"How dare you…"I said angrily as soon as I walked in but stopped when I found the doctor half sitting on the table and a girl sitting in his chair. He had his back turned to me and the way they were sitting didn't look like she was his patient when they saw me. Doctor Maverick's expression morphed into an ugly one as he turned to look at me

"Who let you in?" he said, sounding angry and I watched as the brunette girl with perfect brown hair fixed her dress and lowered her gaze. She was pretty and cute. Why was sitting in the doctor's chair

"I came a long time ago but I didn't know you were busy romancing," I said through gritted teeth knowing he was a cheap doctor to be romancing when he was supposed to be working

"Sweetie you should go...I'll pick you up once I'm done"the doctor ignored me like the plagues and turned to the girl who was now on her feet

"Okay I'll be waiting," she said with a cute smile, walked up to Maverick and both hugged. She moved back and walked past me before she glanced back and smiled at the doctor. The door closed and by now I was furious. But why

"What do you want?" he asked me rudely and stood in front of me crossing his arms over his chest

"I didn't know you are so cheap...I guess this is what you do huh...have love affairs with your patients!"I spat out bitterly clearly they were a thing.

"And who are you to say something like that?" he made a low yell and his expression was something I didn't care to see. He molested me the other time I came here and now I found him about to kiss that brunette girl

"Cut the crap...I'm here to ask the name of the medicine you gave me...I have no time to lecture a shameless doctor like you" I said, crossing my arms over my chest and fixing my cat-like eyes on him. He didn't react but kept his gaze on me for a good amount of time such that I felt nervous under his sharp piercing gaze. Why did I even come to him when the city had so many professional doctors to help me.

"You are a shameless girl aren't you?" the man said, narrowing his cold eyes at me. I didn't understand a thing because he was the shameless man doing who knew what to any beautiful female patient who came to him

"It seems the little lady...has a crush huh?" he added, smirking at me and I stood there confused..what was he saying because he was being a complete jerk. I came to him for business not to entertain him when he was supposed to be in jail for sexual harassment.
