(Vivienne)

"Okay so I guess we just have to go to his office...no need to go through procedures' 'I said once we entered the building and I looked around. This place brought so many memories and being here again after three years made me feel weird, especially recalling the last time doctor Justin and doctor Maverick and I had that last conversation which runs need everything but I was doing this for Alexis

"It's fine as long as the pain goes away…"Alexis said in a low voice and I nodded and grabbed her hand as we walked around heading towards the elevator. I was hoping to start with Doctor Justin since his office was on the second floor but when I looked around the busy place with doctors and nurses running around as well as patients being dragged into hospital beds. I knew the day was a busy one

"So are we going…"I heard Alexis say when I was carried away looking around the place. I turned my attention back to her and nodded with a faint smile

"It seems you know this place very well…" she added when the elevator opened and we walked in. I didn't know what to say to her. Since we knew each other she had told me almost everything about her but she didn't yet know who Vivienne was. About my past, what hurt me the most and the fact that I was once a surrogate which went wrong and I ended up being the mother. My life was funny because fate played me hard or was it double cross

"So just tell him what you are feeling...he's a good doctor so feel free," I said once the elevator opened and we walked out. I was stunned to see how the interior had changed. From the newly painted walls to the arrangements. I saw the sitting area had been changed and I saw some people seated and waiting for the doctors to attend to them

"Okay, I'm so nervous what if…" she started saying but I shook my head for her not to worry. We made a turn to the left since the doctor's office was up ahead. The nurses walk around patients in their respective rooms. I  forgot I used to come here more often and when I glanced at my hand then back. I froze as fear washed over

"Oh no," I said and quietly dragged almost to the left corridor unexpectedly that she exclaimed and stopped me

"What's going on?" she asked, looking at me with a worried expression and I was so damned to have this freedom. Why was that grumpy man here? Wasn't he supposed to be working or something. was walking towards them with a two mem suits and white coats following behind

"Umm, actually I just remembered...I think I dropped my ID...yes I had it...and...look go up ahead take a left and the first room to the right is the doctor's office...he's in there if not wait for him"I said as quickly as possible and stormed away from there heading to the opposite direction. I didn't even want to stop when Alexis called me because I didn't want Victor to see it.

It seemed he was going to Justin's office..what if he saw me. At least if he saw Alexis it wouldn't create a problem hence I found my way towards the end of the passageway so I could hide until Alexis was done. She was a smart girl.

Meanwhile, Alexis sighed as she held her purse close. She didn't know why Vivienne acted so strange all of a sudden but she followed her friend's direction and soon came to the place Vivie showed her

"Do you need anything!" a nurse asked when the door opened and she walked out and found her standing outside

"I'm...I'm looking for the doctor, "Alexis said nervously not sure what to do the nurse carrying a tray full of medical stuff scanned her for a while beforehand replied

"Oh...go in...he's on his way," she said with a smile and left from there. Alexis arched her brows not sure what to say and pushed the door open. A spacious nice looking room greeted her. Unlike most hospitals, the room smelled of lavender and rosewood as well as other mixed fragrances. Alexis sighed as she closed the door and scanned the place. There was a desk with files and a laptop on it.

She assumed that was where the doctor did his work and to the left, she spotted what looked like another room although separated by light blue curtains there was a window blowing in the fresh air and showing the garden view of the hospital.

Alexis decided to look outside just to pass time. It seemed the so-called doctor was a neat one. His desk was nicely arranged. His white coat is clean as ever and on a hanger. Alexis glanced at her watch and it had been ten minutes..maybe the doctor was busy, what if she came to the wrong place

"Vivienne tricked me" she groaned, feeling frustrated, and decided to leave and make an appointment or maybe go back to the reception and do the necessary procedures. Immediately she pried the door open. A gasp left her mouth when she bumped into the chest of whoever was about to walk in and was pushed back

"Ouch ouch" Alexis muttered as she massaged her forehead and slowly lifted her head to see who it was and to her amusement, she met with a tall man with pretty brown-like eyes. She didn't know but there was a hint of silver but not so much. Curly brown hair and a gorgeous face. No smile but a blank expression staring back at her. She stared back at him boldly blinking a few times not sure if to look away but the man was pretty. Good looking and somewhat serious and well built

"Oh...hi...well…"

"You are my next patient?" the man asked and Alexis was confused as she moved out of the way clearing her throat. The man was in white with a stethoscope around his neck. She didn't say much but guessed this was the doctor Justin Vivienne told her about but he didn't know she was coming so how did he know she was the next patient or did Vivienne fill him in on everything

"Yes... a friend of…"

"What seems to be the problem?" the man cut her off and asked while he walked around his desk and Alexis bit her lower lip having a hard time explaining her situation

"Well...umm...it's just that"she stuttered a little fiddled with the chains of her purse as the adrenaline kicked in. Why was she nervous all of a sudden? The doctor didn't seem scared but when he stopped what he was doing and looked at her with arched brows. She swallowed hard and lowered her gaze for a while

"I have no time Miss...kindly tell me what's wrong and let's get started," the man said calmly, and when she glanced at his coat and saw the name on the name tag. Her eyes widened reading the name because this wasn't the name Vivienne told her about

"Dr. Maverick" she muttered to herself but the man heard her

"Yes, I'm that doctor, and now kindly explain your situation...I have patients lined up" the man said slowly word by word sounding as if the person he was talking to was illiterate

"Well, I have a stomach ache problem, and I…"

"Since when?" the man cut her off as he walked back to where he was but walked right past her, his shoulder brushed a little on her and Alexis felt her knees weaken as she followed his gaze and he was pushing the curtains apart revealing a bed with white and blue linens nicely spread

"Well it happens now and then...near the...my abdomen area...it's like a sharp pain and it.."

"Period pains?" the doctor asked as he looked at her over his shoulders and Alexis felt even more embarrassed not sure why he would ask her such a delicate private matter

"No...but"

"Pregnant?" he cut her off and by now Alexis was not happy as she looked at him with disbelief in her eyes

"Excuse me but how can you say that!"Alexis lashed out shooting angry daggers at the so-called doctor disrespecting her

"Isn't that what you little girls come here for...you sleep with every horny man out there and come here complaining when you get pregnant" the man said, his voice was rather deep and masculine and pleasant to the ears but he was a complete jerk and was looking at her with anger in his eyes. Alexis was shocked as she looked at the man before her. Was he a doctor because he was so rude and why would he say that when he didn't even examine her

"Who do you think you are to disrespect me huh.. just because you are a damn doctor doesn't…"

"Lie on that bed and spread your legs for me"the rude and arrogant doctor cut her off and gestured for her to lie on the bed and hearing the words he said Alexis wanted to throw up from nauseous. She had never met anyone as rude as the man before her

"W...what for huh...so you can judge me...what kind of…"

"I have no time for you...get on that bed and spread for me" the man did again and she didn't know if he was a doctor who cut patients off before they could finish their sentence because the so-called doctor was a complete pervert and seeing the dark and deadly expression on his face she didn't think she'd be able to tolerate him a second longer.

She had never felt so angry in her entire life. Is this what Vivienne said that the two doctors she recommended were angels but the Maverick guy didn't seem to be an angel but a devil and she didn't know devils could be doctors

"What...are you going to waste my time?"Maverick said, arching his brows at her. He hated girls like her the most.
