Chapter 58: Chapter 58

We put the talk that had worsened our situation on hold and went back to work to catch up. I told them everything Eunice had instructed me to do, including the previous instructions. I even informed them that I had manufactured an explanation in their name the day before that our plan had fallen through and that I had to go to the hospital, and they were outraged, but they said they understood and agreed to work with me.

However, this is not always the case. As Clarize points out, I need to consume myself to be overly compassionate, or else I risk losing my identity. I also informed them about Blade's and my adventures in Paris when we were there.

"You're quite fortunate to have Blade," Clarize replied. As she continued, Karla and I exchanged a wry smile. "I wish I had someone like him."

To be clear, please don't do anything but flirt with me.

You've come up short in your strategy. A boyfriend like Blade is still possible for you. " "Karla, we had another good chuckle."

Clarize squinted, but Karla's tickling made her laugh right away, and she thanked her. We've known each other for a long time, and I'm delighted that our friendship hasn't altered despite the fact that we're all really busy with her and our respective careers.

For a moment, our chairs pushed against each other as we watched the sun sink over the horizon where we were sitting. It was a nice, relaxing experience. As previously stated, we were only dreaming of graduation, but look at where we are now. Our financial independence allows us to purchase anything we desire without ever having to seek our parents' financial assistance.

We were all quiet at the time, enjoying everyone's private time together, and while we continued to be quiet, my phone called. It was Blade, and I was at a loss for what to do to stop the passage of time around me. I'm not sure what it was, but I had the distinct impression that I had done something wrong myself and had kept it a secret from him.

"Take a deep breath."

And I did, and when I was feeling better, even though I was still waiting for Blade, I answered his phone call as soon as I could after I took a deep breath.

Hello, I'm at the mall right now. What part of the world are you in? "he inquired.

In which shopping center? I was practically sweating as I asked her the question. I was at a loss as to what to do. Because they were starting to panic, I assumed they'd figured out who Karla and Clarize were and what I was talking about at that point. There was a small tap on my shoulder, which I quickly pushed away from my shoulder with my elbow.

"Calm down, people; I'm up to the challenge." I said proudly to them while putting my phone's microphone cover over its microphone.

"What exactly are you dealing with?" Blade's voice said, as if the phone had been yanked out of his hand with great force.

There's nothing there. That was all I could say to him when he abruptly plunged into me and a voice from behind me said something to me. I began to turn around.

When I saw Blade, I immediately put my phone down. He was the one who caught it. His action pulled him in the direction of me, resulting in my hiccup. I sipped a glass of water.

Blade replied, "I was under the impression you had met yesterday, so I'm delighted you're all here."

I couldn't say anything, and my smile was a little odd. Karla, Clarize, and the others, on the other hand, were giggling, and they all extended their hands in greeting.

Even though Blade was no longer seated next to me, he made a comment to my companions.

Is it okay if I arrive with Alessia a little early? As I peered at the time on my phone, he inquired, "What time is it?" Perhaps he became concerned and called me because it was so late in the evening. I was ashamed since I had promised him that I would see him after lunch, but I had never returned.

"Sure," Karla responded as she rose from her seat to accept the offer.

It's all right with me. Good bye, Alessia. "Clarify," she said, hugging me in the same manner she hugged her and waving to Karla. "Clarify!" I answered, hugging her back.

In return, I thanked Blade without looking at him; I promised to go shopping for new clothes, but I forgot to carry a paper bag; and the four of us exited the mall together, but in opposite directions from one another.

"Tell him," I said as I turned back to face them. Karla waved as she said, "Tell him."

That is exactly what I was doing. In the meantime, I waited for him to take notice of what he was experiencing. My hands were dripping with perspiration, and I couldn't be bothered. I sat there and didn't say anything until we were about to leave for the parking lot. I had a sneaking suspicion that he knew exactly what he was doing, which made me feel foolish and stupid.

He also didn't say anything, which added to my anxiety, and I was at a loss for what to do. It's possible that I didn't say anything until we got home. He was asking me questions, but I was only responding to them, which caused him to pull over to the side of the road and wait for me.

Is there something wrong, Alessia? "

I shook my head in response to his question.

There's a problem here. Do you want to give me a little bit of time first? " I nodded my head in response to his question.

"All right, sweetheart," he replied, kissing the top of my head. Then he got back in his car and drove away.

I was feeling guilty the entire time I was driving, and I did nothing but think. I also failed to realize that we had come to a complete stop in front of the mansion.

Let's take a look inside. It's a little late in the day. " He stated this as he extended his hand to me and I took it.

I'm baffled as to why he isn't enraged or concerned that I don't say anything.

"Do you want some water?" he asked, to which I responded affirmatively.

In the course of helping me to sit on the sofa, he removed my shoes and went into the kitchen to wash my hands and fetch me some water to drink. I just gazed at him, my mind racing with what I wanted to say to him, and as he came closer to me, he said, "No, thanks." I maintain my composure, and I feel bad for having been patient with him. The only thing I can say to him is that he could be disappointed if he does.

The water was handed to me when he came close enough to sit next to me, and I simply held it after drinking a little of it.

He was just looking at me, and he was massaging my hand as he said this to me. Afterwards, I went down to the table with the glass in front of us and hugged him, and he reciprocated by hugging me.

"Do you think you're feeling better?" he inquired, and I nodded.

Are you ready to tell me why you think this is the case? There's no need to rush things. He mentioned something to me.

But I nodded my head, and he kissed my forehead and said, "That's my girl."
