Chapter 18: Chapter 18

It was a busy day here at work. We're in the depths of a rush project because Blade is trying to end the deals before they can relax after this week. He was really serious there in the part where he will torture them first before he allowed them to take a vacation until all the problems here are fixed.

We are in the meeting room now and I know everyone is pressured because Blade kept on rejecting their proposal, especially when it comes to packaging that was to be delivered then it comes to a company with a defect or scratches.

"Any more suggestions?" Blade asked, and no one answered as he suddenly slammed his hand on the table.

"Wake up!" he shouted, to everyone's surprise.

It was a serious matter because the company would lose a lot of money, especially since there are a lot of products that they take without padding.

He stood up abruptly without pausing to speak, and I raised my hand.

"Yes Mrs. Armstrong?" he said, and we looked at each other even though he was shocked by what he had said.

We looked at each other and the others had an expression as if they had seen a ghost for some inexplicable reason, and I just faced palmed. Then Blade cleared his throat.

“Everyone, I would like you to meet my wife. Alessia Rae Williams, " He said, and I noticed they were stunned, but I ignored them.

"I have an alternative solution, by combining their suggestions, Mr. Armstrong," I said to him and stood away from him to go to the presentation area and face the laptop. I looked for pictures that I could provide or show them. I feel the tension and this is the first time again that I will present something in front of everyone. I said nothing and just stared at them. I was still looking at them.

I saw Blade sit up and he saw me struggling and he adjusted his seat, gesturing me to breathe in and out. While I was doing this, I looked at them and they were waiting for me, so I did my part.

“As you said earlier, everything was okay before the item left the factory, but when we arrived at the company there were defects and scratches on other parts, so what could be the reason for the scratches?" I told them and they just listened to me.

"Cardboard can also cause scratches, not only sharp objects, especially the fragile skin of each part we deliver. If there are scratches, they would think we have already used it, or much worse, they can use it to backfire it, use it against us."

I took a deep breath and explained where they went wrong, not as a critic but as a consumer myself.

"Miss Gwen is right that we should also include bubble wrap, which is common for delivery, but her idea was declined, especially since the item was shaken inside and the item could be damaged."

I saw that Blade was just looking at me with a smirk on his face, and I asked myself, "Should I freak out?" But continue with what I have to say.

“Mr. Luis is also right that we should consider that the packaging is just plastic, but that would not be presentable to see, especially since not everyone accepts plastic. Lastly, Miss Blue is also right in the sealed airbag that will be placed at both ends and the top of it. "

“So, if we combine this all together, let's remove the cardboard that seems to give division, which causes unwanted scratches. We can use bubble wrap to protect the item, plastic for more protection, and a sealed airbag for shaking. That was the ideal packaging for the items, we’ll not be delivering damaged and scratched, especially in remote areas. That’s all. "

They just shocked me, and I feel like I'm going to die of nervousness.

"Woooooo!" Blade shouted, and he applauded, as did those of the employees inside. They all agreed with what I said, and I’m glad I helped.

"Miss Matilda, please find where we can find everything that Mrs. Armstrong said." He said and winked at me while those around us laughed and my cheeks turned red.

"Copy that, Sir." He said while smiling.

"So that would be all. Thank you for your wonderful ideas. Enjoy this coming week. " He said, and everyone shouted everyone just went ahead and I approached him.

He held me by my waist and kissed my neck, which made me giggle it was almost 3 pm when we finished the meeting and we started at noon. He would interfere very much the reason why the meeting lasts long, especially in business, but I can’t blame him. He is not a young successful CEO for nothing.

“You kill it, Rae. That was amazing. " He told me as we left the meeting room and headed to his office.

"Do you do your presentation back to your dad’s company; you must have won a lot," he said to me.

I just smiled and spoke after we entered the elevator. I can see how people see us, but I don't have any since he's okay with it when the door closes and I spoke.

"I don't do presentations; they won't let me," I said to her and I smiled as if with a mixed smile.

"Why? You have potential. Why won’t they use it? "

"I was able to present once, but when I didn't seal the deal, they were disappointed in me, even those shareholders. I couldn't do anything about it, even my dad didn't do anything, and I just let them be."

"Let me, while you're here, I won't show any disappointment because that's part of the process. You'll stumble multiple times, but everything will fall into its place, so just trust yourself." He said to me, and he got out of the elevator first.

"I got you, love." He said

And something around him sort of lit up, like he was some kind of miracle given to me and I was grateful.

I took a deep breath and held his hand when I got out, and I just smiled at him. And think of what he said last time: if we met each other early, wouldn’t that be nice?
