Chapter 123: Chapter 123
After the incident, Blade was pretty much mixed up with the person with the so-called same face. However, since the police didn't want to believe him because they couldn't find anything that Blade could do to prove that he was innocent, Blade was able to make something to prove that he was not that related to the person with the so-called same face.
The police suspected him of having eventually committed a large number of crimes, but they were still uncertain as to whether or not Eugene was the true perpetrator who did them while using Blade's face.
To disprove their suspicions, the police allowed Blade to go to where Eugene lived, even though they were aware that Blade was a resident of Florida. This was especially challenging for the investigation when it became apparent that Eugene looked identical to Blade.
Blade has been there for close to two and a half years, but he has found a solution to everything, and although Eugene has passed away, he will eventually wish to clear his record by claiming that they are not connected.
The mystery had already been solved, and he doubted that his name would not be clear, but with the help of Eugene's auntie, Blade finally had some ray of hope. In real life, Eugene goes by the name of Bryan Dawnson. He only uses Eugene as his alias.
After spending several months behind bars, Eugene couldn't help but reflect on the possibility that the woman he had devoted his life to was also serving time for the same crime as he was.
Blade and Alessia both wanted him to be imprisoned alongside other people who appeared to have vanished inside their heads. Like a psychiatric hospital
But because he was aware of who he was and who was surrounding him, he was disqualified from entering that location, and at that same moment, the most horrifying event took place.
Eugene did not do anything that drew the attention of the authorities right before he was going to leave for their normal morning routine.
He managed to get a hold of a firearm hidden behind him, and even though he couldn't see it, he pulled it nonetheless. As a result, the bullet went through the skin of his back and entered his throat.
He was found to be dead on the scene, and the officers on the scene were dumbfounded as to how he had managed to pull it off. However, as they looked at him, they could tell that it was taking a toll on him, and he eventually collapsed under the strain of it all.
He has lost all will to continue living at this point.
Throughout a video conference, the head of police expressed gratitude to Mr. Armstrong for his participation in the investigation.
The only thing Blade did was smile and say, "Nothing much to thank, but I'm quite delighted that I cleaned my name."
"Good day to you, sir."
That was how Blade cleared his record, but someone made a specific request for him to stay and supervise Dred's firm, and he consented to do so, particularly on the condition that his company was not neglected because he believed in someone else.
--
"So in this chart, when you're handling a meeting, you should have a heads-up on what they're going to say before they can say it." Blade said to James, who looked like he hadn't slept for an entire year because of the amount of work he was doing.
But as James was so determined to know everything because he knew that in just a few days, Blade would be coming home,
Blade smiled and said, "Of course, you don't always know, but it's better to know what's going on inside your company."
"That's my best secret when it comes to meetings." Blade said, looking out the window.
James looks like he is getting the hang of it but is still confused about other things, but he believes that he will know it, especially if he has someone like Blade or Alessia. He can run too.
"So, here is your assignment. You have to make a report on the financials that were going on this week." Blade said
"Is Monday enough for you to finish the task?" Blade asked while arranging the things he used in the presentation.
James just proudly said, "Yes, sir. That would be more than enough."
Blade, whose sleeves were rolled up, decided to take a seat on the chair, and he leaned on his back, which was heavy from the work he had been doing over the years.
Blade just wanted to prepare James because he has a lot to fight when it comes to the company, especially since it wasn't his, to begin with.
As long as those greedy relatives are around, they won't settle down until they get the company that belongs to them.
Blade span once more, almost knocking him off his seat.
"Brazie! What are you doing here!"
---
"Hello hun, how are you there?" Alessia said and stuck the mini bouquet on the screen where Dred's cremated body was.
When those dreadful days were over, Alessia chose to bring him here so that she would have a reason to visit him and feel every memory she had of him.
Alessia started to talk to him about what she wanted to say, and she smiled like a madman while telling her everything that happened in her life, and she even said, "I feel like I'm going to forget you."
"Come and visit me."
That was the most desperate plea she had ever said since she visited him again.
Alessia opened the glass and placed another photo of hers that Dred took on the beach.
"Don't wonder how I made the picture smaller, hun," Alessia said, chuckling.
"I didn't say it, but that day I was the happiest." She smiled, and it appeared to be bitter.
But she shook her head and continued to tell him a massive story, just like they were doing when they were together.
Alessia knows that others may think that she is only making herself suffer by moving on; she is making it difficult for Dred to leave and be at peace, but Alessia knows to herself that that is not her reason; she's here because she can't move on.
She's here because half of her was purely happy. She can guarantee herself that there was a time when she was in a lot of pain, but those were part of her healing, but she decided not to move on and carry them along with her.
"Some memories will bring you pain and joy, but I'll cherish most how you nurtured me to be who I am today, Hun."
"Remembering how you called my name used to hurt more, but even though I was crazy for putting our picture in our room, that brought me more than peace."
She smiled and looked at the clouds as soon as she went out of the soul house and said, "They might find me crazy, but I'm glad you were the one who stayed."
"Even our sweet memories can be bitter sometimes."
"But most of the time.. "
"You're the sweetest thing that ever came into my life."
"And the most bitter one is when I want you to call my name, but all I can hear is wind passing through my ears and my life as well."
