Chapter 120: Chapter 120

Three years later,

"How's the new CEO?"

Karla was looking around as her gaze stopped on that particular portrait that was hung on the wall.

"This is so beautiful."

"But is it allowed to be here?" Karla was furious and was about to remove the picture from the wall.

"Woah, slow down, and what's wrong with it? I do look pretty, right?" Alessia said, chuckling.

"That was the whole reason why it shouldn't be here!"

It was the picture of Alessia that was captured on the beach by Dred, but it wasn't a picture of her body, it was a picture of her smiling brightly as the sunset was cooperating it.

It was one of her favorites.

"Excuse me, Miss. Williams? This is for you. " James said

Alessia was at the condo to get her things after all that had happened, after Dred's funeral.

It was an envelope, and Alessia was just looking at it, saying, "It was Sir. Dred's last will. "

"It was stated there that 50% of the shares will be given to you, 30% to your late master's relatives, and 20% to the company that you will take over."

Alessia was lost for words as tears fell from her eyes, and it looked like it was indicated there

"When he told me to do it asap, I thought he was about to take his life..."

"But I didn't expect it to turn out this way, Miss Alessia, and I'm truly sorry for your loss," James said he was about to take his leave, but Alessia prevented him and said

"I have a favor to ask."

And just then, Alessia made James the new CEO of Dred's company.

Clarize just yawned and said, "Are we just going to watch Alessia work? Don't we have to work on our own?"

"Also, why are you here? Shouldn't you be resting when you just came back from the States and then you're here being a workaholic?"  Clarize said, looking at Alessia intensely.

Alessia just laughed and so did Karla, then with a *ring*, Alessia answered the phone.

"Ahhh, at the previous cafe?"

"Okay, I'll be on my way."

Alessia left and the two of her friends got back to their work.

Alessia hired them both so she could have someone with them in their company, and of course, she offered them a way higher income compared to her other employees, but it depended on how they both pleased her with their work.

As she rushed towards the parking lot and entered her car, everything she passed by was associated with joy.

She felt cold as she turned on the heater of her car, and as she drove, she saw all the people walking on the sidewalk.

"Ah. This is life." She said to herself.

As soon as she parked her car, she went outside and looked at the way she was heading.

As the world started to spin, everyone was back to their normal lives, living the best they could because of the previous event.

It proved to them that they don't know when they will disappear from the world.

Alessia walks towards the cafe in her coat, a dark blue scarf placed around her neck, and a pair of boots.

Before she enters the cafe, she stops in front of it.

"The speed of time."

She whispered and closed her eyes as she let the snow fall on her face.

As soon as she entered the cafe, searching for something that looked familiar, but she couldn't seem to find it.

"Alessia!" A voice comes from the right side of the cafe.

Alessia turned herself and walked in that direction.

As she was removing her coat, she said, "So ready and drinking coffee at a cafe is your thing now?"

"Even though we have a lot of coffee at home."

Rae just looked at her daughter and said, "Just let me be. Your mother is running a bit late."

"I bet she's overdressed again."

Rae said this while he was looking at his book and sipping his coffee.

Alessia looked at her father with worry in her eyes, "But you should stay out that long, remember?"

"Yes, my body is still fragile, I know."

"Don't you have a job?"

"I think it would be best if I didn't think of inviting you over. " Rae said he continued to look at his book when he suddenly froze outside.

"Your mother is here; about time, don't you think?" Raener was about to stand up to open the door for Emelda when he paused.

"Shouldn't it be time for you to fetch Brazie at school?"

"Sh*t, I have to leave."

Alessia wore her coat while walking out when she met Emelda.

"Hi mother, bye."

Emelda didn't have time to react as her hand was held by Raener.

"Good afternoon, my lady."

---

"Auntie, what took you so long?" Brazie said

Alessia just looked at her, "Slow down, I'm your mother."

"Mother."

Brazie rolled her eyes at her and Alessia just sighed, "I hate children."

"I can hear you, mom!"

Alessia then got in the car and drove Brazie to the cafe where Alessia's parents were.

"Didn't I tell you that I don't want to be in a cafe and sit next to you while all you do is work?"

Brazie's gaze was poured on Emelda and Rae. "Grandma, Granddad!" she exclaimed with excitement.

Alessia followed and took her seat next to Brazie, as they were talking about a bunch of stuff and Alessia closed her laptop.

"What? A condo at your age? You're only 7 years old. " Alessia said, and Emelda and Rae just laughed.

"Nye," Brazie said and shrugged her shoulder.

"What about you? Are you still going to ignore Daddy? " Brazie said

Alessia was taken aback and was stuttering, which made Brazie laugh, "See, you never know."

"Why you little---"

Alessia grabbed Brazie by her seat and kissed her tons of it and the old people with them felt soft as soon as Alessia stopped, Brazie asked

"By the way,"

"When can I visit my mother?"
