Chapter 109: Chapter 109

Alessia's POV

I was walking into a room. It was almost dark, but every step of the way I was followed by a light that seemed to guide me on the road. I didn't know where to go.

I tried to look around, but all I saw was dark, then a small light appeared. I didn't feel any excitement.

But as I was walking towards it, the light was slowly becoming bigger.

The bigger it got the more steps I took, so I assumed I was near something like a hallway and started running.

It doesn't bother me no matter how far, even if I have to run just to meet it, but as I was getting impatient, I decided to run, and as I entered it,

I was surprised when I was suddenly in my Dad's room at the hospital, and I entered the door just to see Dred, wiping the hand of my lying Daddy with a white cloth.

I didn't think twice and I hugged him, but hugging him didn't feel anything.

I broke the hug and I was looking at him. Dred's face was emotionless, which made me clueless.

"How long have you been here before?" I asked him.

But I didn't receive any response, as he was holding my hand and I did nothing but accompany him.

I was just looking at him, feeling tears in my eyes, but I was still clueless as to why I was sad when I saw him.

The moment the door he opened for us opened, we were at the park by the fountain and it seemed so familiar, but I don't know what happened.

Dred was saying words to me that I couldn't understand. But I started running towards him as he started tearing apart the paper he was holding.

And then the last thing I knew was that he was lying on the floor covered with white cloth bigger than his size, and I didn't know what to do.

I was shouting his name but he didn't show up and I was being tossed into a black hole and Dred was just looking at me as I was being sucked into it.

I was now in a black space with stars shining on Dred, who was lying on the grass, and I decided to sit beside him, seeing the reflection of the stars above us in his eyes.

"Do you think you can do it alone?" he asked me.

And I was thinking, what was he referring to, and then he was staring at me, and then he smiled.

Which broke my heart for some unexplainable reason.

"I'm sure you can, hun," Dred said

I started crying, but I also didn’t know what the reason was.

Seeing him smile broke me the most.

I didn't even think of hugging him.

I was just sitting there looking down at him.

Then he rose from lying down and he was already seated beside me.

He held my hand and this time I felt his warmth, and I was so confused.

"Now... please. Please return my love. You got this! " Dred said

And as he held my hand, I was starting to float.

I didn't find the words to tell him that I love him, but I know I was struggling to find what was sucking me from above.

I was looking down at him.

He lay down again, hands placed on his abdomen, a smile on his face as he was wrapped in all the grass that surrounded him.

I woke up but I was still pushing myself to sleep. I wanted to know something, so I decided to open my eyes, but my vision was blurry, so I tried to flutter my eyelashes.

I looked up just to see a man beside me, but I couldn't quite tell who it was.

Because my vision was getting clearer, I realized he wasn't the person I wanted to see, and I knew I was in the hospital.

Blade was looking at me and I was like that with him, but I felt like I had a cramping pain in my stomach and it was like I just didn't want to move.

"What are you doing here?"

"Where's Dred..." Alessia said and removed the needle of the dextrose

"That was just a dream... right Blade?"

"A dream..."

Blade didn't say anything, but there was sadness on his face.

I just decided to space out and think of possible ways to find him on my own.

"H-he's been waiting for you." Blade said to me while standing up

And that caught my attention. I don't know, I just let him carry me to put me in the wheelchair like weeks ago.

I was holding onto my arms rest and he was pushing me.

We got off the elevator, and it was the underground, and I was clueless, but I just went with him as we reached the parking lot.

We got in his car, and I was waiting patiently.

Blade was just looking at her as he was starting the engine, preparing himself for what he could witness as Alessia was taken to the morgue where Dred's body was.

It was already three days, but Blade begged them not to move the body first and let Alessia decide what to do with it.

My body began to tremble, and as if something was stuck in my throat, Blade was supporting me as we entered.

Fright didn't stop me from moving.

A worker from that place bowed to Blade, and he just nodded his head.

Before he opened the door, he gave us each a mask.

Every movement we make leads us to something I don’t want to believe.

I didn't know how to feel, but as I entered a dimly lit room, the worker opened a cabinet that seemed like an oven.

While opening it, I couldn't contain myself from walking toward it. I didn't know where to go next.

With trembling hands, I reached for the cloth that was covering a body.

My eyes began to blur with tears that filled my eyes.

As soon as I dragged the cloth down, I was exposed to a Dred that was lifeless, pale, and cold.

I cried as I was looking at his body and the place where the bullet took place.

I cried as I was looking at his body. Then something caught my eye, and I didn't bother how nervous my hand was, but holding his hand made me realize that it was gone.

Dred was gone. But as I was looking at his hand, I couldn't help but cry even more.

He was still wearing the wedding ring that day, but I didn't notice, which made my heart turn to dust.

Blade approached me without me noticing.

"Dred asked them to do it at the last minute." Blade said, and Alessia was just listening.

"He asked them to find something in his pocket..."

"He requested that they place it on him... and when they did,"

Blade didn't know what to say, but he sighed deeply.

"Just then, Dred.. unleashed his last breath."
