Chapter 61: Chapter 61
<Azaria>
We just finished meeting with Heidi.
I was walking towards my car.
I stopped when I noticed Keith leaning against my car.
What is he doing here?
He looked at me and grinned, dressed entirely in black from head to toe.
"Sister-in-law," he said sarcastically.
I tightened my grip on my bag.
"What are you doing here? Is Lanvin with you?" I casually asked him.
"What are you doing here?" He shot back.
"Just visited Heidi," I replied with a smile.
He grinned at me. Keith had a different aura about him.
He put both his hands in his pockets.
"Heidi? Is she a friend of yours – oh, sorry, the one your dad sent? She's a psychiatrist, right?"
How did he know about this?
"Did you go for a consultation?"
I didn't answer his question.
"What are you doing here?"
"Playing innocent, huh? I like your game, Azaria."
"I don't know what you're talking about. Excuse me."
I was about to get into the car when he blocked my way.
"Do you think I don't know what you did to Lanvin?"
My world stopped and my heart raced at his words. I couldn't understand what he meant, but I had an idea.
"I'm going home, Keith. Let me pass," I said firmly, avoiding his eyes.
He held onto my arm tightly. I looked at my arm and then into his eyes.
"Why the hell did you hypnotize my cousin? What is your motive?" He asked seriously and straight to the point while looking into my eyes.
How did he know?
Were Lanvin's and my actions too obvious?
"Since when did Heidi and Lanvin become cousins?"
W-what?
Does he know?
“How did he know?”
“I don’t know what you're saying,” I said irritably, removing his grip from my arm.
“You're good at pretending, you’re making me adore you, Azaria.”
I couldn't tell if he was being sarcastic or sincere.
“Are you on drugs?” I asked him straightforwardly.
“Don’t try to change the topic,” he said with a grin.
He looked handsome in his all-black outfit.
“Don't you have anything better to do than mess around with me?” I asked, annoyed.
“It's hot here,” I added.
He leaned on the hood of my car.
He stared at me for a while, like he was trying to figure me out.
We stood there for a few minutes, neither of us saying a word.
“It's hot here? Then let’s go. I know a place where you’ll remember everything.”
“Leave. Nick will come looking for me,” I said, giving an excuse.
“Keith, please? I don't have time for you. Stop with your games.”
“C’mon, Azaria. You want to go home, right? Then come with me.”
We locked eyes. He raised an eyebrow at me.
“I don’t want to. Who knows what else you might do to me.”
He burst out laughing.
“Me, doing something to you? You're the one who did something to my cousin,” he accused.
“I can sue you for defamation,” I said confidently.
“Whose money will you use? Your father’s? Your grandfather’s, whom you killed? Your cousin, Camille?”
His words made me clench my fists.
“Be careful what you’re saying. If Lanvin finds out, you won’t like it,” I warned him.
“If Lanvin finds out the truth, you won’t like it either,” he said confidently.
This man is getting on my nerves.
I handed him the keys to my car.
“You drive,” I said, annoyed.
He took the keys without any emotion.
We got into the car, and he drove in silence.
I feel nervous. How did he know those things? I feel like Keith won't let me go easily. I have a strong feeling that he knows something.
Did Heidi tell him? Heidi knows she’s involved if she speaks about our wrongdoing.
Did he spy on me?
Did he investigate me?
Did he notice something?
Did someone tell him?
I'm driving myself crazy with these questions.
I'm trying to calm myself down. I don't want him to feel that I'm nervous.
What if I just jump out of the car? So that Lanvin gets mad at him and doesn’t believe what he says?
I'm praying so hard that he doesn't know the truth and I can escape from his hands.
I grab my phone to call Lanvin.
I was about to dial Lanvin when he snatched my phone. I looked at him, and he just kept driving.
He hid my phone in his pocket.
“Why the hell did you get my phone?!” I snapped at him.
“You'll report this to Lanvin? Let's talk alone, Azaria,” he said firmly, speeding up the car.
I'm not afraid of dying. He'll die before I do.
“My phone is my privacy! You're accusing me and yet you dare to do this to me!” I complained angrily.
My blood was boiling.
I thought he was a jerk, and now it's confirmed.
He accelerated the car, showing no care for those who overthink about him, and he even blinded the cars in front of us with his headlights. He's driving fast.
“Reduce your speed, Keith! Nick will kill you if something happens to his child!” I threatened.
“Maybe he'll kill you when he finds out the truth! You fucking hypnotized my cousin!” He yelled angrily, veins popping in his neck.
He knows something.
“I'll jump out of this car!” I threatened.
“Go on! I don’t fucking care!” He retaliated angrily.
They say this guy is quiet, but his demeanour is different.
I fell silent and cried. Maybe I can get through to him with my drama.
We arrived at my and Nick's house.
I wonder why Keith grabbed my attention.
He got out of the car and left me inside. I followed him into the house.
When I entered the house, he had a long brown envelope in his hand, and he tossed it at me.
Papers flew out of it.
I picked them up.
"What the hell are these?!"
