Chapter 52: Chapter 52

What do you most dislike about your appearance?

<Azaria>

"I had been calling you. Why aren't you answering my calls again, huh!" He's Angrily said.

Lanvin starts to nag again.

I tightened my grip on the phone.

"I-I'm going home," I scaredly answered him. I'm going home, and I might be killed if I take too long.

"Come with my men! And don't fucking try to run, Azaria. I'm not happy with what you're doing anymore," he threatened me. Even though I can't see him, I know he has a menacing look and tightly holds the phone.

"I ended the call.

"Brother, is Lanvin furious?" I inquired.

"Ma'am, please get inside the car because sir only gave us one hour," he calmly told me.

"Wait, let's drop off Heidi first," I said to them.

"I'm sorry, ma'am, but sir Lanvin instructed us to take you home safely," he replied, guiding me into the van.

I glanced at Heidi, but she just nodded at me.

"Are you sure you're Lanvin's staff? You might be kidnapping me, huh!" I accused them as they started the van.

I received no response from them.

I wanted to call Lanvin from my phone, but I decided not to because I remembered his angry face.

I quickly arrived home, and even at the gate, I felt like staying at Heidi's condo instead.

Lanvin met me at the house door, arms crossed and a deep frown on his face.

"Where the hell did you go? I stepped out for a moment, and you've already left the house! You even deceived the maids!" He greeted me angrily. I stood in front of him.

"What are you doing, Azaria, huh? What if something happens to our child? You're clumsy!"

I feel insulted by what he said. Me, clumsy?

"Are you insulting me? Do you think I'm incapable of protecting our child?" I angrily retorted.

I'm on the verge of tears again. I hate these hormones.

"What do you want me to think? You're doing whatever you want. You escaped from home. You're not answering my calls! Damn it!" He exploded.

I went inside because it was too hot outside.

"Are you seeing another man, huh? Just try it, Azaria. I'll kill someone," he threatened, glaring at me.

"Damn it, it's so hot! Leave me alone, Nikolai!" I angrily said to him.

I walked past him and went into the kitchen; I wanted to eat durian.

I caught Manang peeling the durians I asked her to buy, and it made me crave them even more.

"What the hell is that smell!" Lanvin exclaimed as he entered the kitchen.

"Sir, it's Durian," Manang said.

"Who told you to buy a durian! Damn it! Throw that in the trash!" Lanvin said angrily, covering his nose.

"S-sir—" Manang couldn't continue as Lanvin cut in.

"I hate bad smells! How many times do I need to remind you that I want my house to be smell-free!"

I just looked at Manang and Lanvin. Manang seemed on the verge of tears from Lanvin's shouting at her.

Why is Lanvin so hot-tempered?

"Fuck! Pack your things! You're fucking fired! Throw all those damn durians!" Lanvin said angrily while still covering his nose.

That's when I couldn't help but cry.

Because of me, Manang lost her job.

Manang looked at me before disposing of the durians.

"Fucking shits!" I heard Lanvin curse.

"There are durians!" I cried.

I stood up to get the durians from Manang, but Lanvin stopped me.

"Azaria, what the hell are you doing, huh!" Lanvin stopped me.

I faced him, crying.

"Why are you so hot-headed? It's been days! These durians are mine! If you don't like the smell, then leave! Go live in the middle of the sea!"

He stared at me, looking shocked.

"Why are you crying?" He asked as he approached me.

"Manang, don't throw away my durians!" I shouted as she was outside. I knew she couldn't hear me. I burst into louder sobs. I'd been craving durians since earlier. I resisted eating them immediately because I met with Heidi.

"I hate you!" I told Lanvin and punched him in the side.

"Why did you throw away my Durian?" I cried to him.

"Shhh!"

He hugged me while I sobbed.

"I've been wanting to eat durian since earlier, and then you're just going to throw it away! I hate you, Lanvin!" I said angrily to him.

I pushed him away forcefully.

"Go be with your other women!" I yelled at him.

He looked shocked and confused by what I said.

"Wife!" He called after me.

"Don't follow me! Damn you!"

I was so angry at him that I cursed at him. I didn't know how he would react to me cursing at him.

He even fired Manang from her job.

I have no right in this house anymore.

I locked myself in the room, and he didn't even come after me.

Why is he so hot-tempered?

~

<Third Person>

Lanvin, stressed and irritated, messes up his hair.

He pulls a chair and sits on it.

"Damn. What did I do?" He asked himself.

He was shocked when his wife cursed at him. Is she really that upset with him?

Does his wife crave durian?

He called his driver to instruct him to buy durian.

"Good afternoon, Sir!" His driver greeted.

"Buy a durian, just one. I want it fresh and newly harvested. Choose the best quality," he said calmly.

"Copy that, sir!" came the driver's energetic response from the other end of the line.

Lanvin didn't respond further and ended the call.

He massaged his temples and closed his eyes.

He's extremely stressed, and he's craving intimacy.

"Fuck!" He cursed and ran his hand over his face.

He was hurt when he saw his wife crying earlier. His temper suddenly vanished.

His temper flared when he found out she wasn't at home. He expected her to be sleeping. He was damn worried that she might be seeking answers again or worse, that she might have left him. His worry intensified when no one knew where his wife was.

His temper worsened when Heidi didn't answer his calls. He knew that Heidi was his wife's go-to person.

Damn it! How could he forget that his wife is pregnant and sensitive?

His phone rang again.

He lazily answered the call when he saw his cousin's name on the caller ID.

"What the hell do you need, K?" He asked.

"Let's go for drinks!" his cousin invited.

"I'm busy," Lanvin lazily replied.

"This jerk!" Keith cursed at him.

"Fuck you, moron! We're at Xyrile's company!" Charles's voice was heard speaking.

"Idiot, let's drink!" Xyrile's shout was heard from the other line.

"I can't leave my wife. I'm not allowed to drink; she's pregnant," Lanvin casually replied.

His cousins chuckled at what he said, knowing he had the call on loudspeaker.

"What's the connection there, brother?" Keith asked him.

"Asshole! I don't want her to worry about me. And no one's going to take care of her. She needs me, okay?" Lanvin tried to make his cousins understand. They chuckled again, teasing him once more.

"Damn you! Your wife seems like she's about to give birth. I heard from my dad that you've already taken nine months of paternity leave," Charles teased him.

"Not really. I'm going to work when it's an emergency."

"Damn you! Let's drink! It's boring if the gang isn't complete!" Xyrile said.

Lanvin sighed.

"My wife is my priority. Her mood is sensitive. I don't want to do things that would make her worry or cry."

His cousins on the other line chuckled again.

"It'll just be us going then! And if you get drunk, we'll be the ones to tuck you into your bed!" Keith teased.

A long silence fell on Lanvin's line.

"Don't bring cigarettes. Don't smoke, and don't make any noise. I'll throw you all out if you wake up my wife," Lanvin threatened his cousins.

"Damn it! Has Azaria been sleeping the whole day, huh?!" Charles asked him in annoyance.

"Whatever, fucker!" Lanvin replied and ended the call.

A minute later, he received a message from his auntie.
