Chapter 51: Chapter 51
What is the most quality you like in a man?
<Azaria>
I was also shocked when I heard the news, and when Lanvin regained his composure, he had an overwhelming joy on his face.
"Fuck! Is that real? Am I going to be a father?!" Lanvin exclaimed loudly, visibly happy.
"Congratulations!" the doctor said and left us.
"Fuck! I am going to be a father. Did you hear that, wife? We're going to have a son!" he said, holding my hand with excitement.
I didn't know if I could be happy about it. This child has given me a reason not to leave, not to abandon his father. I'm so confused about my plans and feelings. I don't know which one to follow - love or my brain?
The heart is more powerful than the brain.
"Wife, aren't you happy?" he asked cheerfully.
I just looked at him.
"Wife?" he snapped.
"I don't know if I should be happy knowing my husband is hiding something from me. My child's father is a killer."
His jaw clenched, and his demeanor darkened.
"What did you say?" He looked menacing.
"I may not remember everything, but I know you killed him. You killed my husband!" I yelled at his face.
"I am your husband!" he shouted back.
There's no change in his behavior.
I had a conversation with Charles, and he told me that Lanvin was acting strange. He said that he goes somewhere at night, sometimes with a sack.
Lanvin is a killer!
"Then who the hell is Russell? I saw his records and files on your computer!" I shouted back at him.
"You fucking opened my laptop, huh!" He got even angrier.
"Is Russell my husband?"
"I told you I am your fucking husband! What the fuck, Azaria?"
"I'm begging you. I saw a shovel and things in your red car. Nikolai, please tell me the truth. Do you want me to ask Georgia? The man you're jealous of? He told me a lot about Russell and me."
"I'll fucking kill that bastard!" He said coldly and terrifyingly. He glared at me with such intensity, and fear crept into me. His fist clenched tightly.
Don't tell me he also killed Florence?
What's happening?
Why can't I remember anything? There's a part of my heart that recognizes Russell. And I can feel from the stories of those who know us that they are telling the truth.
"Nikolai! Tell me! Why don't you tell me the truth? Do you want me to dig deeper, huh!"
"Shut up! Shut the fuck up, Azaria! The fuck! You're not fucking allowed to go to the company with me and talk to anyone, shit! They brainwashed you!" He shouted, kicking the sofa in anger. I closed my eyes and trembled in fear of him.
"You're the one manipulating me," I weakly said to him.
"Did you kill Russell, huh?" I pleaded with him.
"Yes! I fucking killed him because he stole you from me!" He admitted without a hint of remorse. His veins bulged in his neck and arms.
I wanted to hide.
"You're a killer and a monster. Why did you do that?"
"I saw you working in our company, and then I found out you two were married. I visited you at your house and killed him, and you ran away. You bumped your head, and when you woke up, you had amnesia. I gave you meds to delete the scene. I manipulated the rest and everyone," he grinned triumphantly. He seemed happy that his plan was successful.
“I killed anyone who tried to ruin my plans. Even Florence,” he admitted without any remorse. He spoke with pride in his voice.
I sat up on the bed to distance myself from him, clutching the blanket tightly.
"I hate you!"
"You can't hate me, baby. You love me. You're carrying my heir," he said affectionately.
"Don't come near me," I tried to restrain him, but he ignored me.
"Hush. We're going to have a baby," he said softly, caressing my back and kissing my face. Earlier, he was furious, and now he's acting all sweet. His mood changes so quickly; he might have bipolar disorder.
I wanted to push him away. I'm scared of him. I don't know if I can sleep beside him. What if he kills me too? He tried to kill me before. He's killed many people, so it's not far-fetched to think he might kill me as well. Lanvin is a true monster and killer. Why did I marry a killer?
We arrived home, and I kept my distance from Lanvin. He hasn't been going to work for a few days now because he's been watching over and taking care of me. He acts as if I'm about to give birth any moment now.
He's overacting, and it's getting corny.
"Why Italy? We can just buy baby stuff here," I replied in a cold tone.
He looked at me.
"I want the best things for my child," he said firmly.
"How about Thailand? They have better clothes there," I suggested.
He looked at me.
"I want it from Europe."
I fell silent. He just wants to get his way. I moved slightly to create distance between us.
He sighed, and our eyes met.
"In Thailand, then," he said, sounding defeated.
"I don't want to ride an airplane," I told him.
"Then let's order online. We'll import clothes for our baby."
"Whatever," I retorted with irritation.
"What do you want to do?"
I didn't respond and focused on finding something to watch on TV. I don't want to talk to him. We still haven't resolved our issues.
Even though I can't remember anything, my heart doesn't forget.
"Aren't you going to talk to me? Your anger won't change anything. What's done is done. Leave everything in the past."
Lanvin and his words of wisdom.
I glanced at him when he said that.
I want to respond, but I'm restraining myself. I'm sticking to not talking to him.
I grabbed my pillow, lied down, and turned my back to him. Let him do whatever he wants with his life!
How dare he say those things to me? It's as if he just killed a mosquito.
Later in the afternoon, I woke up.
"Manang, where's Lanvin?" I asked the housekeeper.
"He left just a while ago, ma'am. Why? Do you need something?"
Luckily, he decided to leave.
"Manang, can you buy me some durian?" I requested with a craving.
"Aren't you going to have lunch, ma'am? Sir told me to feed you lunch when you wake up."
I woke up craving for durian.
"Just buy it for me, and some suman too, the purple one with brown coconut on top. You can peel the durian, and I'll get it from the fridge later."
"Um, ma'am. Sir doesn't like durian," she hesitated.
"I don't care about him. I'll take care of carrying the bag for you if he fires you," I said irritably.
"He's not going to eat it," I added.
"Go now, Manang! I want to eat durian already," I instructed her.
"Alright, ma'am."
"Hurry!" I called after her as she left.
While she was busy, I got in the back of the van first so they wouldn't see me. I'm going to visit Heidi. I need to talk to her about my pregnancy.
Heidi and I met near the beach. We were sitting down, waiting for our food order.
"What's your problem again?" Heidi asked as soon as she sat down, placing her handbag on the chair.
I still had a lot of money.
"I'm carrying his child," I blurted out.
"What's your plan?" she asked, as if she already expected my situation.
I nodded in response.
As Nikolai said, there's nothing more I can do about our situation. I love him, and I'm willing to forgive him. Forget everything and start anew. We'll begin again, and I'll trust him again.
"Hmm. Is that final?" she asked me.
I nodded, affirming my decision.
Just like Nikolai said, there's nothing more I can do about our situation. I love him, and I'm willing to forgive him. Forget everything and start anew. We'll begin again, and I'll trust him again.
"Can you give me a love potion?" I said seriously.
She looked at me in disbelief.
"I'm not a witch."
I sighed.
"What if Lanvin returns to his right mind?" I asked Heidi with concern.
Heidi looked stressed because of my questions.
"There are side effects to the medications. It's up to you whether you want to continue or not. I already told you everything before we started this. If you want to forget everything, go on, I won't stop you," she said simply.
I sighed again.
"I'm worried that he might revert to his old self."
"He won't," she assured me.
"Continuing to take the medicines I gave you might result in some problems. You know what those are," she reminded me.
"What if I made a mistake in forgiving him?" I asked her.
"You won't know unless you try. The decision is yours, Azaria. I'm only accepting payment. I wouldn't have done this if I didn't owe your family," Heidi always tells me.
"I've already told you several times that this idea of yours is dangerous," she repeated.
"Follow your heart, and do what will make you happy without hurting others," she firmly advised.
I leaned back on my seat. I feel like I'm going crazy.
I looked out at the sea and the people walking by, deep in thought. My mind and heart are in conflict.
My phone rang, and it was Lanvin calling me. Oh no! Has he arrived home already?
"Do you think what I'm doing is right?" I asked Heidi, full of doubt.
"Is what you did right?" she countered.
"Is revenge right?"
I fell silent, contemplating his question.
"Fine! I'll start anew with Lanvin. I'll go see my so-called parents and pay them to disappear from my life. I'll fix everything to erase any evidence," I said softly. We were in a public place.
"It's your life," he responded.
I glared at him for saying that. He always replies that way, which irritates me.
We finished eating and talking with Heidi.
We were just waiting for a taxi.
"Aren't you going to answer that?" Heidi asked me as my iPhone rang again. I put my phone on silent. Lanvin has been sending me angry texts.
While we were waiting for a taxi, a van suddenly stopped in front of us. Men dressed in black came out of the van.
"Ma'am, sir is asking for you," one of the men said to me.
I stared at him, trying to determine if he was one of Lanvin's men.
I wouldn't be surprised if Lanvin found me.
Women need to be cunning. I have to outsmart Lanvin.
"He's been looking for you for hours."
"I don't want to go with you! I don't know where you'll take me!"
I held onto Heidi's hand. They might just be pretending to be Lanvin's men.
The man received a call and quickly answered it. He handed me his iPhone.
"It's Sir Lanvin," he said hesitantly as I hesitated to take his phone.
I saw Lanvin's name on the screen, so I took it and put it to my ear.
"H-hello."
"What the fuck! Azaria, where the hell are you?!" he asked angrily.
