Chapter 24: Chapter 24
<Azaria>
“Tsk!”
I rolled my eyes at him before entering the bathroom.
"We're not yet done," he called after me before I finally stepped into the other room.
Midway through lying down with Nik, he held me close while I rested my head on his arm. We were in that position when suddenly, there was a knock on our door.
We hadn't slept yet. We had just finished our argument a while ago.
"Nik, seriously!" I pushed him slightly as he started kissing my neck, his hand caressing my legs. He was quite skillful; he switched our positions, wrapping his arms around me.
I glanced at the wedding ring he was wearing, the symbol of our union. It looked perfect on him.
"Nik!" I scolded him irritably as he continued kissing me.
I wasn't in the mood today.
He turned me to face him, looking deep into my eyes. "I love you, wife," he said softly while gazing into my eyes.
He kissed my lips, but I didn't respond and tried to push him away.
"What's wrong with you?" I forcefully pushed him away.
"Fuck! Why don't you want me to kiss you?!" He asked angrily.
"Who's that?" I asked him when someone suddenly knocked on the door.
His expression changed quickly.
"Maybe it's my sister," he said in a serious tone.
I rolled my eyes in response.
"Leave her outside," I ordered him as he stood up.
"Okay," he replied nonchalantly and lay back down beside me. I was taken aback by how easygoing he was, not even bothering to comment.
The knocking on the door grew louder.
The child slept here because she threw a tantrum earlier when Nik sent her away.
"Open this door!" she shouted in frustration at the door.
We then heard the door being opened, and there she was, wearing her sleepwear and holding a pillow.
"I'll sleep here," she declared and entered the room.
"Have you been kissing each other that's why you won't open the door?" Her hair was so long she looked like a ghost.
"You have your own room, so sleep there," Nik told her, still hugging me and gently caressing my hair with his free hand.
"No! I'll sleep here. I miss you, Lanvin, that's why I'm sleeping here. I want to be beside you, and I'm scared of ghosts," she dramatically said.
"How can you be scared of ghosts when you watch horror movies every night and you're alone?"
She was standing right in front of us, and she dropped the pillow she was holding.
"Whether you like it or not, I'm sleeping here," she firmly said.
“Okay, we’ll sleep in your room then.”
"What?! I want to sleep beside you! That woman is getting your attention!" She pointed at me, sounding jealous.
I glared at her until she looked at me.
"You should be thankful I let you sleep here. How dare you barge in and want to share the bed with us," I retorted.
She snorted in frustration.
"How dare you say that? This isn't even your house, and why are you the one making decisions? You're not Lanvin, so shut your mouth!" She yelled at me angrily.
"Don't disrespect my wife, Maeve," Nik threatened her.
"Go back to your room. It's not right for you to sleep with us," Nik's voice returned to seriousness.
"Shut up! Go back to your room," I said with a smug grin.
"One day, you'll pay for this, grr!" She said angrily and walked out.
I laughed loudly because I succeeded.
I was getting annoyed with her as well.
The next day.
"Damn it! Who locked the door? Xyla, open the door!" I shouted from inside the room, knowing she was outside guarding.
I woke up to find Nik not beside me, and when I tried to go to the kitchen, I couldn't open the door. Nik had locked me in again. He was still angry with me.
"Xyla! Xyla!" I called her name in frustration from inside the room.
"What is it, ma'am?" She answered anxiously from outside the door.
"Open this damn door!" I shouted angrily at her.
"Ma'am, you're not allowed to go out. Sir strictly forbids it," she nervously replied.
"What am I, a dog? Open this damn door! If you don't open it, I'll have you fired!" I threatened her angrily. My blood was boiling.
"Ma'am, I'm sorry! I'm scared of Sir when he's angry. I don't want to lose my job. I'm sorry, ma'am, I was just following his orders."
I closed my eyes briefly to calm myself down.
"Xyla, please, just open the door. I just want to go out. He won't find out, and I won't tell on you," I pleaded with her.
"Ma'am, I really can't."
I wanted to strangle this woman.
"Your breakfast is already here, and Sir will call later," she added.
I ignored her and returned to the bed.
I felt like I was in hell, and Nik was the devil.
In my frustration, I started throwing things around the room.
"Ah! Fuck, ah!" I screamed, throwing pillows and blankets.
There were no more lampshades left as I had already smashed two of them.
"Ma'am, what's happening? Why are you screaming?!" Xyla asked in alarm.
I continued to rage, even throwing away the food that was prepared for me.
I never imagined that my life with him would be like this. I thought it would be his life that would be miserable, but it turned out to be the opposite. He turned my world upside down.
I couldn't contain my anger and frustration, and I broke down sobbing.
Damn them all!
They can all go to hell! Let them all be together! Let Nik's hidden women die!
Fuck him to the core!
I smashed the TV, hoping that when Nik saw it, he would think twice about locking me up. I wanted to give him a taste of disappointment and headache.
Suddenly, all my strength and courage vanished. Why was I crying?! Damn life!
"Grandma Pusing, let's call Sir! Ma'am is having a breakdown inside!" I heard Xyla shout.
A few minutes passed, and suddenly, Lola Pusing entered the room, looking concerned.
"Oh no! What have you done, child? Are you hurt?" She asked, worriedly. She was about to approach me when I threatened her with a broken piece of vase I had picked up.
"Try coming closer, and I'll hurt myself!" I warned her, pointing the shard of glass at my wrist.
"My dear, what's happening to you? Xyla, call Sir!" Lola Pusing ordered.
"Get out now!" I shouted at them.
Xyla entered the room, her face filled with concern, but she was taken aback when she saw the state of the room.
"Try coming closer, and I'll kill you!" I issued a dark threat to Lola Pusing.
I felt like a crazy person, crying and suddenly laughing.
What was happening in my life? Did I deserve all this? I didn't even know the depths of that man's character, yet I found myself trapped in my own snare.
"What the fucking fuck?!" A loud voice startled all of us.
Nik rushed into the room, looking disheveled and sweating profusely. His eyes were ablaze with anger.
"What did you fucking do this time, Azaria?!" He yelled as soon as he saw me.
"S-sir, we don't know what's happening to ma'am," Xyla quickly explained.
"What the fuck is this, huh?! Damn it! Azaria, I have a fucking meeting, and I find out that you're going crazy! What the fuck is your fucking problem, huh?! Why can't I leave you?!" He shouted angrily, his eyes piercing into mine.
He was seething with anger.
"Xyla! Call everyone to clean the room and remove everything! Get the first aid kit!" Nik ordered furiously, clenching his jaw.
I continued crying.
He didn't even come close to me, and he yelled at me. He should have approached me and comforted me like he used to do.
He also let me treat myself, as I had stepped on broken glass earlier. I didn't know how to apply betadine. Huhu.
"Why are you all fucking slow?! Make it fast, remove all the things that she can break and throw away!" Nik shouted at the guards and household staff who were clearing things from the room.
"Hey! That's my Gucci bag! Put it in a paper bag!" I protested to one of the guards as he took it. It was pink, and I loved it.
"Put that in the trash," Nik coldly commanded, his eyes lifeless. He was giving me a dagger look.
I stood up to grab my paper bag when Nik stopped me.
"Stay in your fucking place!" He stopped me.
