Chapter 22: Chapter 22
<Azaria>
If there's "blood ties," there's also "hate at first sight." This child is so infuriating, despite being so young, she's already mischievous and arrogant.
Yes, she's beautiful, but her attitude doesn't suit her. Being spoiled doesn't look good on her.
"Why don't you want me to sleep here?" she asked with an attitude, crossing her arms.
"Why are you so annoying? I already said you're not allowed to sleep here!" I retorted. I couldn't hold back my irritation with her anymore.
"Why are you butting in? I'm not talking to you, bitch!"
What audacity!
Nick stopped me just as I was about to approach her.
"Wife, she's just a child," he whispered to me while holding my arm.
A child?! But she knows the word 'bitch' and called me that!
The child grinned at me while hugging Nick, seemingly trying to annoy me further.
My anger is reaching its boiling point.
"I'll bring you with us, but you won't sleep here. Deal?" Nick said affectionately to the child.
"I don't care! I just want to be with you!" she answered.
I'm fuming with annoyance.
Dawn smiled widely.
"Why are you bringing her along? It's supposed to be our date, just the two of us!" I complained. I don't want to bring her; I have a bad feeling about that child.
"Wife, please let's bring her with us, just for this day," Nick pleaded and kissed me on the cheek. He smiled gently at me.
"I'll agree on one condition," I smirked, "I can finally go out."
His expression changed.
"No!" he quickly said, making my shoulders drop.
"Fine! You two can go on your date!" I said like a child and leaned back on the sofa, crossing my arms.
"Bleeh! Could you not come with us? I don't want to be with you! You better stay here and clean the house, bitch!" she retorted.
My ears twitched because of what she said.
"Dawn," Nick warned her.
"Nick, tape her mouth, or else she'll face the consequences," I threatened with an angry look.
I don't know why this child is getting on my nerves. Damn it!
Dawn laugh.
“Lanvin and I are going on a date, and you’re not with us. My brother won’t bring you, bleh!.”
I laughed the way she talks.
"You're so dumb in English," I taunted her.
"And you're stupid for putting on thick blush and eyeliner, and it's Tagalog, not English. You're so dumb not to know the language," she said with a smirk.
Can't I make a mistake? Come on, I'm human, I make mistakes every day, and Nick always chooses me anyway.
I took out my iPhone from my shorts' pocket and checked my face. Damn it! I put on too much blush. And this asshole didn't even tell me!
I heard the child laughing.
"And for your information, I don't know your language because I was born and live in the States, unlike you; your whole life is here. Poor you."
Am I talking to a child?
"Azaria," Nick restrained me as I was about to pull the child's hair, and he gave me a meaningful look.
"Is she your snake, Lanvin? She acts like a slut!" she said.
What slut?! Damn it, ah! I haven't slept with anyone, and I'm not sleeping with anyone! And I'm not a snake!
Why does she call Nick "Lanvin"? She should be calling him brother,' considering she calls her brother by his name as if she's their mother.
"Wife, please? Don't let her get to you, please?" Nick pleaded with me, whispering while looking at me seriously.
His brown eyes that make me feel like melting when he looks at me. His hair, so soft and enjoyable to touch. His flawless face, like he gets a facial every day. Has he ever had pimples? His long and blushing ears whenever he gets excited. His sharp jaw always impresses me when he's angry.
His thin, pinkish lips.
God! My husband is so handsome.
**
"What are you looking at?" She raised her eyebrow at me, "you'll sit at the back," she snobbishly told me.
She was in the passenger seat, and she rushed to take that spot before me. While Lanvin was already in the driver's seat.
They both put on their seatbelts.
We were about to leave for our solo date, but an unwanted guest appeared.
"I'm the wife, so I should be the one sitting there," I said assertively to her.
"Get out of there, you brat!" I tried to push her away. I attempted to hold her hand, but she spoke up, "don't try to touch me! I don't want to malaya the virus from you!" she said arrogantly while taking out a pink-colored bottle from her bag.
"It's 'mahawa,' not 'malaya.' 'Malaya' means free, freedom," I corrected her.
"I don't care. You know what I meant. Why do you need to explain it to me?"
"You're lucky that I'm teaching you."
"I don't want to be taught by someone who doesn't know fashion," she said, looking at me.
I also glanced at what I was wearing. I had on a black v-neck dress with a slit. I was also wearing seven-inch heels and long silver earrings.
I look sexy.
She took the opportunity to push and close the door. I almost lost my balance.
Lanvin got out of the car and approached me.
"Wife, are you okay?" He said, concerned, and held my hand. I pulled it away from him in annoyance.
"I want to sit in the passenger seat!" I grumbled at him, "why did you have to bring that child along?! We hardly get to go on dates, and you're still bringing along that brat!" I complained, raising my voice so the child could hear.
"Wife, don't argue with her. She's just a kid. Sit in the back. Let her be in the front seat since it's the first time she's with us," Lanvin said, trying to appease me.
I was about to complain when she spoke up, "Let's just give in to the child, okay? Please?"
I didn't respond.
he kissed my forehead.
"Wife," he gently nudged me.
I pushed him away and opened the back door, getting in with a scowl. Meanwhile, Dawn was laughing while watching something on her iPad. She seemed so happy.
I was annoyed.
Throughout the journey, I remained in a sour mood. I ignored Nik, and during the drive, he kept looking at me through the rearview mirror. I'm not sure if it's called a rearview mirror when it's inside the car. Correct me kindly if I'm wrong.
I entered the restaurant ahead of them.
"Azaria," Nik called after me.
"Lanvin, wait for me! Don't leave me alone!"
I rolled my eyes upon hearing her annoying and high-pitched voice. Even at her young age, I was already irritated with her. What more when she grows up?
When she grows up, I'll definitely give her a piece of my mind, and Nik won't have any excuse to stop me, saying she's just a child and that I shouldn't bother with her.
"Chair for three, sir?" the waiter asked Nik.
Lanvin showed his ID to the man.
"This way, sir," the man politely said, leading us to our table. I didn't let him pull out my chair. I wasn't in the mood, and I knew he could sense it too; he had been looking at me since earlier.
"Lanvin, sit beside me," the child said, sounding like a mother scolding Nik as he was about to sit next to me.
I didn't expect her to want him by her side. She was like a little bossy puppy. I avoided eye contact.
"I hate you, Lanvin Nikolai!" she stomped her foot.
I felt Nik sit next to me and he held my hand, but I tried to pull it back. He tightened his grip.
"I'm sorry, don't be mad, wife," he said seriously yet affectionately.
Well, at least he's aware that I'm angry with him.
"Damn, I'm sorry for making you mad. Forgive me."
I didn't respond to him.
"You're treating me coldly. Talk to me, Azaria," he pleaded, repeatedly kissing my hand.
"What do you want me to do so you'll talk to me?"
I still didn't answer. You can freeze over there.
"I never thought it would be this hard to be with two spoiled women," he whispered, but I heard it anyway.
He let out a sigh.
"Eww," the child commented, "we're in a public place, brother," she said, rolling her eyes.
"Show your affection when you're alone. Be shy; you're with me."
If they weren't siblings, I'd think this girl has a crush on Nik.
"She's my wife, and this is normal. And I'm not shy to show her to the public and everyone," Nik said proudly.
