Chapter 11: Chapter 11
<Third Person>
"Don't leave me because your husband will be angry if something happens to you," Chandra added.
"So, you're married?" The man asked.
"Yes and no," she answered.
"Hi, are you Azaria's friend?" Chandria asked the man and shook his hand.
Azaria stands beside the man, "actually, he is my boyfriend."
The man looks confused.
"We only broke up because Grandpa forced me to marry Nick, right, babe?"
The man was forced to board her trip. While Chandria could not paint her face.
"Come on! He's your ex?! You should stop flirting with your ex because you are married to Lanvin!” Chandria said loudly.
"Can you go away, leave me alone. You're irritating me," she couldn't stop himself from scolding her, because it's childish, and she doesn't like immature people. Then she was dropped.
"You and Nick are both annoying."
"Come on, that's too much."
"Leave me alone! I don't need your company," she retorted in a sassy tone.
Chandria had no choice but to leave the two of them, as she didn't want any conflict.
"Miss there is a price for helping you," the man said flirtatiously while looking at her chest.
"What do you want in return?" She got on and touched his face.
The man aggressively kissed her on her lips. Azaria accepted that this is how she works at parties. Her hobby is flirting with men.
Because her parents raised her to be flirtatious, observant, and jealous.
They are kissing wildly when suddenly she lost the kiss of the man, and she also heard gasped.
Azaria was shocked at the sudden turn of events. She saw the man lying on the ground while Nick was punching him with fury in his eyes.
"Lanvin, stop! Enough!" One of the men at the party intervened, trying to calm Nick down.
Nick's anger was palpable, and it frightened Azaria. She had never seen him like this before. The man he attacked scrambled to his feet and quickly left the scene, seemingly afraid for his safety.
"Fuck you! Who are you, huh?! Suddenly you're punching!” The stranger said angrily to Nick as he stood up. It also wiped the side lip.
"Let's go home Azaria," he told her coldly and fearfully, while his gaze was also dark. He clenched his fist and pulled her away from the party.
The next day.
"Wife, breakfast in bed," Nick greeted her happily. It comes with a tray full of food, and juice included.
She remembered him talking to a girl last night, and his face was happy. Nick even looks like he's enjoying himself while a woman is flirting with him.
"I will not eat," Azaria said indifferently and got up from the bed.
"Wife, come on. I cook this," Nick insisted to him.
"Azaria wife, eat breakfast,"
"I said I don't want to eat!" She shouted angrily at the man and spilt the food he was carrying.
"Stay away from me! Get out of here! I don't want to see you. I fucking hate you, moron!” Azaria shouted.
Nick picked up the food on the floor and left the room without saying a word.
"Manang, please clean that room for me and my wife. Because that food was spilt," he politely ordered the maid and did not show that he was hurt by Azaria's treatment of him.
"Go ahead, sir."
Why does his wife hate him so much? What did he do to the woman to make her hate him so much?
he looked up to stop himself from crying. He shook his head and thought about feeding the spilt food to Burnik.
The dog barked when he saw him.
"You're the only one who eats what I cook, aren't you tired of my cooking, hmm?" He asked the dog and gave the food to it, he caressed the head of the dog while it was eating what he cooked.
Nick sigh.
"Manang, what is my husband doing in the room?" He greeted the old woman after she finished cleaning.
"He's just lying down, sir, using her cell phone. sHe even scolded me earlier. Are you sure you want to spend your life with her?" The old woman couldn't help but ask him that question.
Everyone mistakes his wife, who is kind, but her goodness is not always visible to others due to her fussiness and childishness.
Nick smiled at her, "Manang, I'm heading to work now. Just give me a call if there's any problem here," he instructed the old woman. He always left her with instructions every time he went out, and they were all about his wife whom he resented.
"Okay, sir. Take care at work."
He left, and his phone rang. His phone was now pink because his wife insisted on swapping phones with him. She got tired of using her own phone, even though they had the same model.
"Damn it! Where the hell are you?!" Noah greeted him with anger when he answered the call. "I've been waiting for you for an hour! You're always late since you got married."
"I'm on my way there," he sighed.
Noah snapped back, "You're saying that for the third time! Is your company at the end of the world that it takes you forever to get here?!"
He left the house and got into his car.
"I'm on the road already," he lied.
"You asshole!" his friend angrily responded and hung up on him.
He quickly arrived at his office.
"Sister, seriously? You're testing my patience. I'm selling clothes, not hollow blocks," he said, frowning, as he opened the door to his office. His friends were lined up inside, and Noah was standing with a cell phone and some clothes behind him.
"Do you have a wig? We don't have wigs. Hey, guys, check out this nice coat, it's as cheap as Divisoria. I'm going to bed now. Oh, so go ahead, go to bed," Noah read comments on his life while answering his viewers' questions. He was live again on his TikTok account.
"Why are you all here, fuckers?" Nick asked with a frown, looking at his friends. He walked straight to his swivel chair.
"C'mon, let's go to BGC instead. Don't work anymore. I know you're broken-hearted," Enzo said to him, laughing.
"Any tips to get a partner," Noah read another comment.
"I don't have any experience with that, ma'am, but here's my advice. First, always brush your teeth, not just for yourself but for all of us. Second, take a shower every day, ma'am. Third, apply some alum (tawas) under your arms, it's cheap and you can buy it at a pharmacy. Prioritize self-love," Noah answered.
Nick just shook his head at his friend's words.
"He cursed me a while ago for being late, and now he's doing a live selling in my office and selling my clothes," Nick commented.
"Help him out, you know he's poor," Enzo said.
"Where's your twin, Kienzo?" Nick asked, furrowing his forehead as he also took off his coat.
"Don't look for what's not here," Keran snidely remarked.
"I don't know what's wrong with that idiot," Enzo sighed, "he's gone crazy, so don't bother looking for him."
"Damn it! Did you hear about what happened to Phoenix's Blood and La Sigma Society?" Sorin asked everyone.
"You're such a gossip," Keran said.
"Idiot! You're even worse than me," Sorin retorted.
"They are fraternity groups, right?" Nick asked.
"What happened to them?" Enzo inquired.
"Yeah, they're fraternity groups. Damn it! Conrad is the leader of La Sigma Society, and there's an ongoing feud between their group and Phoenix's Blood," Sorin explained.
"I just heard that the two groups don't get along, and I'm still trying to find out the cause of their conflict," Sorin added.
"It's because of a girl," Keran chimed in with a brief response.
"Enzo, you're a lawyer. Maybe you were part of a frat before," Sorin said.
Noah’s voice was loud.
"Hey, guys, just mine these clothes, not me. I'm selling clothes, ma'am, not myself," Noah interjected, continuing with his live selling, oblivious to the discussion among his friends.
"When I was in college, and it's not a good idea, bro," Enzo replied.
"The leader of La Sigma Society started the conflict," Keran updated them.
"You're really up-to-date," Sorin teased him.
"I'm not up-to-date, I'm just updated," Keran retorted with a grin.
"But anyway, let's talk about something else. What happened at Noah boy's party last night?" Keran asked, as he only dropped by briefly last night due to some other commitments, and he missed the commotion.
Nick's face darkened.
"His wife kissed a stranger at the party," Enzo answered, talking about Nick’s wife.
"Why did you agree to marry your grandfather's granddaughter? You know you're at a disadvantage with him, fucker. sHe doesn't seem to like you, and she's difficult to deal with," Sorin commented.
"Yeah, they already owe you, and now they're burdening you with this responsibility. You've already helped them in their company, and now the old man is asking you to marry his granddaughter. You're at a disadvantage, fucker. And why did you agree? If your answer is because they adopted you when you were a child, it's better not to answer my question," Enzo added. They attended his wedding, so they knew the details.
Nick took a deep breath, clearly affected by their comments. "It's complicated," he finally said, not elaborating further on his reasons. The truth was, he felt indebted to his adoptive family, and he didn't want to disappoint them or cause any further trouble by refusing the marriage proposal. He knew he was in a difficult situation, but he hoped he could make things work somehow.
Nick sighed, “I love her,” he replied.
