Chapter 73: Chapter 73
Violet just looked at the letter that was placed in front of her while chewing the food in her mouth.
She's been rejecting everything that might soften her side to Liam's side. She knows these people are innocent, but she can't help but feel bad about it.
"Just leave it there, and prepare yourself." Violet said as she tied her hair in a high bun and added, "We're leaving, now."
Jeric just bowed his head and went out of the door, the appealing brunch seemed to be not appetizing anymore as she was looking at the letter on the table, then she just remembered that Steve was there and decided to call Justine.
It took a while for Justine to answer Violet's call, and made her anxious, the first call ended, and she thought they were just busy there but she tried to dial it again, and this time Justine did pick up with an energetic tone.
"Miss Lily! How are you?" Justine said with her whole energy.
Hearing the Lily name made Violet taste something bitter inside her mouth, neglecting the fact that it once saved her but still the reason why she was in a halt of achieving the company name.
Violet cleared her throat and said, "I'm fine. Is Steve there? I want to talk to him."
Justine felt a pulling bait on how cold Violet's words are, and didn't have a choice but to give the phone to Steve with no enthusiasm "Beautiful girl!" Steve said.
Violet was then at ease as she said, "I'm sorry, Mommy had a sudden business trip. I'll pick you up there."
As those words fell there was a huge silence, and Violet was concerned and asked, "Baby, are you still there? I'll fetch you now if you want to."
Violet was a bit worried, especially knowing that her son's heart had drifted away from her because of his busyness, and she couldn't blame him for feeling like that, but God knows how hard she tried.
"Ahm---miss, Steve was shaking his head," Justine said, unsure.
Which made Violet's brows narrow, and asked, "Why? What happened? Is there something going on?"
Justine didn't answer and was making Violet curious about what was going on Violet said, "Baby, do you want to stay there a little longer?"
"Yes, beautiful lady, I feel sad at our house," Steve said with a mixture of joy and sadness in his voice
Hearing this made Violet's chest tingle and expected what she thought of, knowing that she's been close to her son's every move.
Violet scratched her nape and said, "Okay, I'll fetch you on sat is that okay?"
"He's nodding his head, Miss." Justine and Violet said, felt assured, and said, "I've got to go. Please look after Steve. Thank you."
Violet didn't wait for Justine to speak again and went on ahead to take a shower.
It's 8 am, and it was making her anxious about what was happening at her father's company. Violet did a half bath and came out of the bathroom with a bathrobe placed on her body. Violet sat in front of her table as she gently wiped her hair and then, she paused.
"What if they didn't like me or trust me?"
Violet asked herself Violet's hands began to tremble as she was thinking of any possible way that her plan would be from getting success to none.
Violet looked around, and her gaze landed on the letter on the table where she was eating with a heavy heart, she decided to open the letter even though she felt mixed feelings.
"I hope you're doing fine, my child, please don't let whatever you feel about yourself win, please know and look back at what your biggest goal was before, to know who did that to your mother and now... your father. I know you will be angry with what you say but can you blame me? You left me without anything to say instead you treat me as a no-one so, I looked at the record of my CCTV and then there I knew... and I understand why you are so upset."
After Violet left, she didn't think about how Liam, Justine, or anyone else would feel, even Miss Emelda, which broke Emelda's heart in two.
No calls.
No messages.
No regards.
Emelda knew that Violet would feel this way, but she couldn't stop thinking badly of her. At the same time, Emelda understood. If she were on Violet's foot, she'd feel the same.
"Don't be too hard on yourself because it will lead you to nothing. See me as soon as you read this, but I guess my letters aren't effective enough. See me when you're ready, and I'll be here waiting."
Violet closed the letter and felt a pang of terrible guilt inside of her, as tears started to flow out of her eyes then she realized how dull she became. She was so focused on getting revenge that she didn't think that---she was slowly changing.
Where was Lily then? That was the question running on Violet's hand but she wiped her tears and placed the letter in the shredder and another letter paper had fallen out before she could put it inside Violet picked up the piece of paper and saw that it was a picture of Emelda and her hugging each other.
Violet looked at it bitterly and said, "I can't, Miss Emelda. I'm sorry."
She turned into a stone.
Lily's dead.
And she'll never come back ever again.
Violet wears undies and her black sleeveless top, leather jeans, jacket, and boots.
Violet looked at the mirror and said, "This is what you've become took credit for it."
Violet dialed Jeric's number, and when Jeric picked it up, Violet's red lips turned into a smirk as she said, "Let's visit Midzy at home. I know she'll love surprises."
Jeric with a smile said, "Welcome back Miss."
Violet ended the call and went out of her room's two doors, as her plan was all coming into places as she wished they were.
