Chapter 72: Chapter 72

Liam's Point of view I was looking at Lily after I washed her hands and face and hands using a towel.

Oh, right, she's not LilyLily anymore, but her name is Violet.

Her lips that left mine felt soft and breathtaking, but why do I feel so wrong?

The kiss broke, and I saw that Violet was still asleep, and made me click my tongue. I removed the hair blocking her face, and my heart was throbbing fast until now.

I still don't know what happened, why that's our situation and why... she didn't make time to listen to me tell my side.

I chose to look at her for the last time and left the room where she was lying.

I scratched my nape and saw Cherry was waiting at the door, and I was confused. I passed by her because I didn't want to say anything.

I didn't want to deal with her when she looked at me. She shouted, "Who is she?"

I inhaled deeply. I don't want to deal with Cherry now because she has this attitude when she doesn't get what she wants. I looked at her with peace of mind and said, "Who?"

Cherry just rolled her eyes at me. "She! The girl in that room, what is going on between you two?" She asked as she was pointing at the door where Violet was.

There was a trace of annoyance on his face, but I ignored it and said, "It's none of your business Cherry."

I turned again and hurried to walk inside my room. I closed the door, felt dumbfounded for a moment, and went to my bed to sit and asked myself, "what is going on between the two of us?"

I laid my back on the bed and blocked my eyes using my two hands. I didn't know what would happen after this. Something inside me was hoping that we could still get a chance to talk. I know there is something.

Still hoping because I know there is something, something that hasn't been lost between us.

I will not doubt what we have because I know if one person is enough to fight in a battle of hearts, everything will work out in the end.

It can get frightening, knowing that I'm the only one who's fighting for a love that has an unclear victory.

My eyes were shut and kept pushing myself to sleep but knowing she was inside my home.

I couldn't rest. I was very eager to know what her plan would be, what we could talk about, and what we should fix.

I miss her so much.....

-----

Liam tossed himself and turned, and he didn't realize that he fell asleep, but of all those helpless nights, this was the most painful night for him.

Violet was so close yet so far to being back in his arms again...

----

Violet suddenly woke up with an unfamiliar sight and she decided to get up, and was feeling thirsty, as she looked around she knew that this was not the room where she was last night.

She didn't know what happened and she saw herself in the familiar clothes she also has.

Violet held her head as if she had a hangover, so she decided to peek at the window and saw it was almost dawn.

She looked around the elegant room, and the color of the room was white with a combination of royal blue as an outline. She looked around and saw the purse she was with, and was thankful that it was with her.

Violet still looked around, and she didn't know where she was, but as the sun was starting to peak and Violet felt a little panicked and got money in her purse to leave on the bed and sneaked out of the room.

Violet saw how familiar the place was, but she didn't have time to look at every corner of it to remember where she saw it and went down the stairs to go out the door.

She was so thankful and ended up running and opening the gate for her, the guard was calling for her, but she also noticed a taxi passing by so Violet went in fast and said the address as she was catching her breath.

Cherry who was on the 2nd floor, looked at the lady who looked like a runaway bride with a smile on her face and said, "maybe the maid was wrong because if she's Liam Dawnson's fiance, why is she running away?"

Cherry turned her back and felt that her day was starting because of what she saw.

----

At Violet's new home...

"What are you saying? I've been gone for two days?" Violet asked Jeric who was placing food in front of her.

Jeric nodded and said. "I brought Steve to Miss Emelda first..."

Jeric looked at Violet with confusion and said, "You don't know where you are?"

Violet shook her head as she was munching her food, and took a bite of the pancake that, Jeric placed in front of her.

She glared at Jeric and said, "Don't tell me that you know where I am, and you don't even know me went?"

Jeric's forehead began to produce cold sweat.

[Flashback]

"Don't tell her about this, Jeric," Liam said to him as he lifted Violet.

[End of flashback]

Jeric said, "Of course, I don't know where you are! I wouldn't let you disappear for two days?"

Violet glared at Jeric as she smelled something suspicious about his actions, and Violet asked, "How about Steve? When will you fetch him?"

Jeric just looked at Violet, placed a letter in front of her, and said, "Miss Emelda wanted me to give this to you."

Violet just looked at the letter and said, "Shred it."

Jeric was shocked at Violet's reaction to it.

Jeric said, "This might help you about the company she said, so do you just want me to put it in the shredder?"

Violet just looked at Jeric, and he added, "After you've been gone, the board was convinced that Ilena was still the owner of the company, and they didn't believe you."

"Right now, this help for Miss Emelda is all we got if you still want to avenge your parents."

Jeric was so serious that Violet almost felt frightened and said, "Is this for real?"

"Yes, it was real enough to ignore your chance to get that company on your own," Jeric said with a serious tone while handing the envelope with the letter in front of Violet, who was looking at her.
