Chapter 12: Chapter 12

"Oh, you're finally here. Meet Mr. Liam Dawson. He wants your company today. " She said, and I was taken aback.

"Pardon? What for? I think I have to decline, Miss. " I stated

I'm not worried about losing my job since I know I can always come back to doing the night shift and it's not acceptable to be near him. I didn't even look at the man who was plainly simply looking at me, and his glare while sipping alcohol made me choke.

"What do you mean you have to decline?" She asked with a smile, like her teeth were all exposed, then remarked and was giggling, but I remained serious in my look. "Please excuse us, Mr. Dawnson." She murmured and pushed me out of the room.

"I'm sorry for being disrespectful, Miss." Then I nodded at her, "You know, I went through Miss in such a set up, so I refused." I added to what I said.

Because I can't stand still in this kind of situation and I don't want fortune to approach me in any other way, even this one. It's not right and I don't want to be a part of it.

"That Mister inside offered me that he'd pay me $1,000,000 just for your time and so you'll get 30 percent of it." I did not speak and remained on my grounds. I didn't know that Cath was in favor of these kinds of methods.

"Come on, Lily, this will help Christian's business." She added, with her cunning look, "It's only for a few hours, so bear with me. Hmm, he's attractive, so what are you waiting for? "

But I didn't answer her, and I always kept my poker face.

"Okay, 50 percent," she said, and I said, "Deal".

That's a great sum. Who am I to resist a significant sum when it is right in front of my eyes?

"For 3 hours? That's it, therefore the clock is ticking right now. " I remarked to Cath, who was just looking at me and seemed to be drooling when she heard the mention of the money from the person inside.

"Just get in there, please." She told me to beg and I shook my head as I turned the knob for me to go in.

And no doubt, I came sort of regretting my own action and hadn't thought about it before. The atmosphere was unpleasant and I was already inside the room.

"Have a seat," he replied in his deep voice.

But I don't know where I will place myself. The sofa was designed as a section sofa, like a multi-piece sofa. The common number of pieces is between 3 and 5, and this one has 3 pieces. It can be arranged in a number of configurations. The more pieces, the more configurations. Ideally, any sectional you purchase will include fixtures that connect the pieces to keep them from separating.

And I sat at the end of the three-piece sofa and didn't bother looking at him. I also didn't want to sit in case he would do anything unpleasant, and I was terrified of his voice.

He was just drinking his alcohol, but I wasn't looking at him. I was just looking straight at the flat screen TV, and I could see him out of the corner of my eye.

"Loosen up, I don't bite, and I'll get straight to the point," he says.

His voice was so deep that I didn't know where it was coming from, but it was as if his voice had been excavated underground for me to be swallowed.

"Can you go out with me tomorrow night?" He asked, and this was the first time I looked at him. He was walking towards me.

"And can you bring your nephew?" He asked me again and cleared my thoughts and breath. He was clearly attached to my son, but I didn't want to change his perspective that my son is only my nephew, and I'm ashamed to admit that this guy in front of me now sort of resembles my child's face. And he is just 25.

"For what and what will you do? Won't your lover get angry? " I asked him, but he only chuckled and approached me. I wondered where he gained some courage and he even pulled out a chuckle.

"I was about to ask you if I might get closer to your nephew, and I was hoping to get to know you more." He added as he was seated next to me and I was looking at him.

I realized that besides his tensioned gaze that was hard to approach, you can't deny that he was still very young because of his features. He doesn't even have a mustache or even a beard.

"I want to grant him a full scholarship from kindergarten to college. I'll answer all, even expenditures, books, tutors, allowances—"

"Hold up, Mr. Dawnson." I placed my hand in front of him, signaling him to stop. "Why are you doing this? And what has my nephew got to do with this? You just met the other day. "

"Ironic, isn't it?" He replied to me as he stared up at the ceiling of the room. I know I'm already simping for him and his broad shoulders, but I just ignored him because I know he's been seeing someone and I'm not here to make some love-dovey moment. I need to focus on my son and my son only.

"That kid left an incomprehensible emotion that even I couldn't understand."

"I might have signed up for him as his dad if he didn't have one, Miss Tilford. " I was speechless when he said it to me.

But I kept calm and didn't betray my cover. He approached me, but I didn't move. I wanted some alibi to alter the topic. I knew I was hysterical knowing that he seemed to know our set up, but he didn't speak and repeated the query.

"Isn't it funny that you have a lover and yet here you are signing up for someone else's child to be his father? It's not even right. " I said to him, but he asked me a question too, as he approached my ear.

"I don't have a lover, but if you'll sign up for it, I won't hesitate to take your son as mine." He said, and his hand was on my waist and his breath brushed my neck. I couldn't move, but I managed to stand up to my feet and leave my seat sooner.

"If he was your son." He added, and my heart skipped a beat.

"I'm sorry, but I don't know what you are talking about. As for your offer, I will let his mother know. " I murmured to him, caressing both my hands in front of me, making them intertwined. It's good that the light is a bit dim here, because if not, he could see my red face. I can't even see him. But I can sense the warmth that my face offers him.

"Will you think about it first or will you let that jerk manager of yours decide?" He asked, and I was confused.

"See you tomorrow night? Even without Steve," he stated, and he smiled, approaching me. Then he pushed me to the wall and nodded my head, locking me between his arms that were at my sides, making me face a new direction.

"Thank you, Miss Lily. See you soonest" Then he headed out the door.

I fell on my feet. I knew he was dangerous, but how did he know that Steve was my son, or did he just assume that? Did he stalk me? Then I recall how filthy rich he is, and it makes me hate him more and want him less.
