They both sighed, now walking to the door. “Alright, forgive us for intruding. And thanks for the cup of coffee.”

As soon as they went away, I turned to my mom, “Thanks, mom…

Mother sighed, “I know you love Ajax. He’s a good man. But please, if you don’t want to further endanger Ramirez Tech, give him up.”

I gritted my teeth. Give him up? Fuck all of these old people, thinking they can have their way.

I went outside and saw Ajax staring at the tree in front of him.

I have to give him up. For my family.

If I have to leave him, then I’ll make sure to make up the rest of the time I have left with him.

Gulping, I suddenly held his hand and he jumped at the sudden touch, but then realized when he knew it was me.

“Your parents were such a pain in the ass.” I suddenly said, which made him look at me and chuckle.

“I hated my parents just as you hated your father.” He suddenly spoke up. “They were the root of my misery. I never even intended to have a child because of them, and yet Theon refuses to have a child as his heir so they don’t have a choice but to depend on me.”

“Looks like we had been unfortunate with our parents,” I commented and that made him laugh.

I wasn’t able to continue as his hands were all over me now.

I woke up feeling the soft mattress behind me and the hard and erect wood of Ajax inside me.

“Why?” He breathed deeply, “Why Ellaina?”

I shrugged, “Because I want to catch a break and fix things. Now that father’s gone, he named me as his heir to the Ramirez tech. I’ll handle father's business from now on.”

I didn’t bother to say to him how we have billions of debt having to be paid. I know he’ll never bat an eye and help me, and I do not want that.

I do not want to owe him anything more.

He gritted his teeth. “Is this goodbye then?”

I nodded, “Yes, Ajax Sillas.”

He sighed, calling me back with my full name. “Alright, Ellaina Xzania Ramirez…I’ll let you go for now. But I promise you, I will find you back. And you’ll be stumbling on my way again in the future.”

I chuckled at his words, finding it silly. But let’s see what fate will do.

“Let’s see about that.”

And with that, we parted ways, both having to tend to our own businesses.

I’m not even sure if he will see me again…but knowing him…let’s just see.
