Kira's pov

"Mom? Our father is still alive?" Rhian questioned.

"You lied to us?" Ryan seconded.

"Ryan, Rhian," I crouched down and held their hand. That Nina girl just made this hard for me.

"The truth is that......." I just don't know how to say this.

"Your father is very much alive" I revealed to them.

"Mom, you lied to us. You told us our father is dead. Why did you say that?" Rhian's eyes watered and I felt guilty for not telling them the truth all this while.

"I'm sorry. I never wish to lie to you but I had no choice than to do that. I have my reasons for lying."

"What are the reasons, mom?"

"You two are too young to understand. Forget about it okay? Your father really offended me so. He hurt me so badly. I still don't know if I should forgive him or not. I didn't mean to lie to you." I explained.

"Mama, who's our father then? The lady said his name is Daniel." Rhian inquired.

"Or is it the same uncle Daniel we know? Cause he really looks like us." Ryan creased his brows.

"Yes. He's your father."

I felt relieved for saying that.

"He was a bad man? Before you gave birth to us?"

"Yes and no, Ryan. He's half bad and half sweet." I smiled, wirily and got up.

"We need to go home. Rhian, your ice cream is melting already."

"Oops! I guess the ice cream heard what mom said. So, it melted itself. So emotional." Rhian giggled and licked the ice cream in her hand.

Relievingly, I took my babies home, cooked dinner, and we all went to bed.

Early morning, I woke up from the bed. It was Friday. The kids will have to close early at school.

I bathed them and served them breakfast.

"How's your night? Did you dream of mom?" I said, gulping down my tea.

"My night was fine. And, I dreamt of mom yesterday." Rhian responded.

"Same too. I was having a sweet dream but Rhian ruined it with her husky voice." Ryan chided.

"Hey! It's okay. No morning fights."

I went to work after taking the kids to school.

"Ma'am, Mr Daniel wants to see you." The receptionist said.

"Okay, thanks."

Daniel wants to see me? For what? Just hope it turned out to be something sensible.

I huffed as I made my way to his office. I entered after hearing his ordering voice to come inside.

"Yes? You called for me"

Just seeing him amd his face made me remember what happened yesterday.

He raised his head up from the laptop he was operating.

"Kira, I just want to ask for something." He began but he look nervous and scared to say it out.

"What's it?" I cooed.

"The..the dinner party tonight......"He paused.

Why's he that scared to spill it out?

"Just spill it out, Daniel." I urged.

"The party tonight, can you be my date?" He rushed his words that I almost didn't heard what he said.

I scoffed, then added it with laughter.

He's joking right?

"Be your date?" I repeated.

The word 'Date' made me frowned.

"It's okay if you can't, I just decided to ask if you're going to accept or not." He turned his head back to the laptop.

"Of course, I can't go with you. You don't expect me to. I don't wanna get rape the second time." I stepped back from his table.

His fingers stopped working on the laptop and moved his gaze to me. He nodded and got up from his seat.

Then, he walked to me, not too close. About three inches apart from each other.

"You can't get rape, Kira. Trust me." He said in a whisper.

"Trust? I stopped trusting people the day you did that awful thing to me. Its no more in my dictionary again. Just find another date, Daniel." I retorted.

"Okay. But I'm still sorry for what i did to you." Our eyes met but quickly looked away.

"I know you're sorry. I'm leaving." I made my way out of office.

I scoffed one more time. "He really want me to follow him to a party?" I asked myself.

"He should just look for someone else." I answered.

Daniel's pov

My phone vibrated on the table and i took it.

"Hey, I saw your missed calls." Roland shouted.

"Why are you shouting? It obvious you're in the club. This early morning?" I said, frowning.

"Hey buddy. I just need to chill this morning. I wanna calm my nerve down." He replied.

"Barbara is at it again?" I asked.

"You already know that. Marriage is just hell, Daniel." He slurred.

"Hey you! So this is where you go early morning and come back drunk!" Barbara's voice could be heard from the background.

"The she-devil is here." Roland muttered and I laughed.

Roland has been my friend for one year and we're much close but he's just a jerk sometimes.

His wife has been a pain in his neck just the way he told me cause she's pregnant.

"You just have to endure it. Your lovely wife is around, you should go home with her."

"Lovely wife indeed."

"Are you gonna stay there and ignore me? I'm pregnant! I shouldn't be shouting!" Barbara raged.

"It's okay, darling. Let's go home and out more babies In the womb." Roland chuckled.

"Daniel, I gotta go before wifey kill me."

He ended the call while I smiled and dropped my phone on the table.

It rang the second time and i wondered who's it this time.

"Daniel, it's Zack-Zacky!" The voice echoed, cheerfully.

"You just called to remind me of the party right? I know you." I smirked.

"Yeah, you got me. Don't forget to come with a date. I wanna see a woman beside you. It's part of the contract." He stated, sternly.

"Zack, can't we just do this without a date?" I scowled.

"Nope-nope. I'd be expecting you tonight! With a hot babe." He whispered and ended the call.

Zack is just something else. Who's gonna be my date? I better look for someone.

Kira already turned me down. I don't blame her. She's really saying the truth of not trusting anyone again. Since I betrayed her trust for him.

The image of what happened the other day, appeared. I can't believe those children. They nearly gave me a heart attack.

So inquisitive. I still need to see Kira. Not about the date, but something else.

Immediately I bent down my head to start working on my laptop again, someone entered.

It was Nina again.

"Did you still have to come? Even when you were disgraced yesterday." I huffed.

"So, you watched while that fool was slapping me?" She made her way towards me.

"Oh! Just the way I watched when you were rapping her, right? Whatever! I heard you talking about the date. I can be your date." She stated and sat down, gingerly on the chair.

"No, you can't be my date." I refused.

"I can and I will."

"I'd wait for you till you're through with work." She crossed her legs and flipped her hair.

Aissh! Why you have to be alive? I wanted to say that but I restricted. I'm not wishing her death though.

After work, Nina followed me out of the office and we both met Kira in the way.

Her eyes raged as she sighted Nina.

"Ohh! Daniel, i should tell you what happened yesterday. Kira didn't tell her children you're their father." Nina spoke with a smirk on her face.

I stopped dead on my track. "My children?" I blinked.

"You didn't know too?"

"Wow! She's such bitch to have kept that." She scoffed.

"Kira, i need......i need to see them, please." I turned to Kira.

Kira's pov

I so much feel like killing this girl now. She's just a talkative. I wish I can just slap her one more time but I restricted.

Daniel wants to see his children. This time, I can't just deny him. I just can't.

I nodded and left the hallway.

I boarded a cab to their school while Daniel entered his car. Without Nina. He had sent her away.

After 30 minutes of waiting for the kids, they closed for the day and I went inside to take the twins.

"Mommmy!!" They squealed as they sighted me.

"How are you?" I beamed.

"Fine, mom." Ryan replied.

Daniel's pov

I saw Kira coming out of the school with the twins. They are really my children.

The boy saw me and tapped his sister before pointing at me.

I moved forward to them and bend down, touching their hair.

"Daddy" Ryan called, sniffing

"You're our daddy." The girl's eyes watered.

They hugged me tightly before I knew what happened.

"We love you, daddy."

I seriously didn't know when a tear came out of my eye.

"I love you too and I'm sorry." I whispered.
